We pick up in Crown of Midnight chapter nine with Celaena visiting Kaltain (the Suriel??) in the dungeons.

Archer can either hang up his g-string for good or be strangled by it, and, after choosing the second option, he promises to pass along intel about the rebel group working to put Aelin Galathynius (!!) on the throne. 
After finding a book full of wyrdmarks (and a riddle) at the home of one of those rebels, Celaena is cut with a poisonous dagger and runs to the one person she knows will keep her safe: Chaol.
