Sonor and Coffee with Jules - April 18, 202521 Apr 202500:12:16

This video features incessant yapping about Sonor, Sonor Artists, Sonor rhyming with owner and more...

Also discussed is the latest Interview premiering Saturday featuring Ron Wikso in his 3rd DRUMANDSTAGE interview in nearly 20 years.

The recently released interview with Jeff Heintz quickly rose to the 3rd most watched interview to date, and still gets hundreds of views per day.

There is some mild beating around the bush about two anticipated DRUMANDSTAGE exclusive products, both still in development. All that and MORE!

Sonor Talk - Ron Wikso - Sonor Artist since 199019 Apr 202500:54:47

Sonor Artist Ron Wikso discusses his professional career and extensive collection and use of Sonor drums for 35 years. Ron currently tours with Steve Miller Band, Revisiting Creedence, Greg Rollie and stays busy with studio work and side projects. As a Sonor endorser, Ron has toured extensively with Cher, David Lee Roth, The Storm, Richie Sambora, Foreigner and others.

One year ago today... My Ludwig Black Beauty Experience; and trying to shake the Sonor addiction.18 Apr 202500:12:08

Playing Sonor doesn't just make you have a great sound that inspires you to play better; it manipulates your DNA. And once you have Sonor in your blood, it's almost impossible to be happy without it!

This is the first of several videos to come about my experiences stepping away from Sonor, what I ended up with and why I have always come back.

Sonor and Coffee with Jules April 14, 202514 Apr 202500:09:17

Well, Sonor family, we hit the 1,000 subscriber mark! We also had a really hot Sonor Talk interview hit Saturday, shooting up to the 3rd watched video spot! Update on King Kong Kases and some other random babbling about Sonor and other stuff.

Sonor Talk - Jeff Heintz subs for Todd Sucherman 03/07/2025 - The Full Story.12 Apr 202500:45:23

What may seem to be chance opportunity to fill in for one of the planets top drummers was anything but. This was actually an event years in the making, right down to a duplicate Sonor set, that predated Todd's new Sonors by several years. This is a fun story for Styx fans, Todd Sucherman fans, and of course, the Sonor Family.

Opinion: 150th Anniversary Shell Sets vs. SQ2s. What's the big deal with the limited edition drums?05 May 202500:06:26

With the marriage of the recreation of the Sonor Signature Shell, Sonorlite shell with Sonor's best engineered, most state of the art hardware ever; is there really a virtue to the limited edition drums over similar configurations you can build on the configurator? How much extra are you paying for the Anniversary models? Would the value of the Anniversary sets endure the test of time? Should you go ahead and buy one now?

Sonor and Coffee with Jules April 11, 202511 Apr 202500:13:56

I have been out of town this week and look a little rough, but am feeling great. I don't have my files to do proper intros and outros, but here ya go!!!

Sonor and Coffee with Jules April 7, 202507 Apr 202500:12:55

Good Monday morning, Sonor family. We have some interview updates, the latest on the DRUMANDSTAGE exclusive product currently in R&D, I will be out of town all week, so there will probably not be any content this week. I also talk about Reverb pricing on my Sonor items, and why I am pulling my Reverb listings. I touch on a future video about my process of going through the Sonor Designer series snare drums carefully and thoroughly, and as usual, solicit ideas for future content.

Sonor and Coffee with Jules April 4, 202504 Apr 202500:02:58

Update on being out of pocket next week...I will pull Reverb Sonor listings this weekend since I will not be around to fulfill purchases. No Sonor and Coffee with Jules FridayHaving trouble nailing down potential Sonor interviewees! DRUMANDSTAGE exclusive product in R&D and will be a big help to many Sonor owners.

Buying and Selling Sonor gear with people that don't understand how to grade product conditions...02 Apr 202500:20:07

As a former Sonor dealer, and current frequent buyer and seller of Sonor, I see where people mislabel the conditions of the items they are selling. Also discussed is how some authorized dealer agreements can conflict with seller platform guidelines, such as those specific to Reverb. I go in to detail about what I consider "Brand New" as a consumer; why dealers may or may not opt (or be allowed) to sell certain items as "Open Box"; various reasons that buying "B-Stock" may be a bad idea, and that there is no relationship of an items age with rating it as "Mint" condition. We go a little deeper into being careful about buying from non-Authorized dealers, related to drums and otherwise. This is one that is likely to generate numerous counterpoints, and as I mention in the video, I am certainly open to considering perspectives different than my own.

Sonor and Coffee with Jules... March 31, 202531 Mar 202500:13:15

In this really dragged out episode, Jules really tests the patience of the Sonor fans as he drones on incessantly for nearly 15 minutes in what almost seems like a sleepwalking episode. He discusses the great support from fellow Sonor enthusiasts, encourages input from others, mentions the recent sale of Sonor hardware and updates those still paying attention on the number Sonor artists in the works for being featured in Sonor Talk.Bad joke alert; if you endure the beating long enough to get that far into the video.

Sonor HLD 590 - Then and Now... The Evolution of Sonor (And advertorial for King Kong Kases)30 Mar 202500:10:34

We examine the very limited reissue of the Sonor HLD 590, compare it to its ancestor and discuss proper cases for different Sonor Signature and other snare drums from over the years. 2025 marks 150 years of Sonor drum manufacturing. Sonor is the longest running, continuous builder of professional drums in the world. To commemorate this unprecedented milestone, Sonor released the HLD 590 with the same shell specs and construction as the original, but with Sonor's modern and state of the art hardware. Sonor 150th Anniversary Kompressor Steel Snares - In stock and ready to ship from GC/MF21 Mar 202500:10:56

My GC sales guy Paul tipped me off that these had hit the site. My scouring skills need sharpening! In this commentary, I hit on lots of things irrelevant to whether or not you should buy one, and focus the conversation more on asking why the substantial price difference, what else is going to be included from the Kompressor series, and generally voicing my frustration and amusement that I don't know more than I do. ;)NOTE: The video errantly shows a February 14, 2025 release date. Actually released March 20, 2025.

Teaser: Am I REALLY going to replace my ProLite after all that with a Kompressor?15 Feb 202500:07:26

With the ProLite going away, and uncertainty as to whether the premium Sonor snare drum features will find their way to a new line of metal shell drums, I toy with my Kompressor to bring it as close as possible to the high end Sonor snares we have known and loved for many years. I have the drum upgraded but it will be another day or so before I have a chance to play it.

Interview: Tal Bergman - Sonor Artist Since 199008 Feb 202500:51:27

In this "feel good" interview Tal discusses his gear over the years; primarily using the Artist Bronze snare drum on most all of his sessions and tours, as well as past, current and future projects.
