In a wee village called Falkland in Fife, Scotland, the story of Outlander has forever changed the lives of the people who live there. Known for being the backdrop of the first episode, Falkland is staged to be 1940's Inverness and the opening scenes set the tone for this incredible story.

The Fayre Earth Gift shop is the location used to portray Farrell's General Store, the shop where Claire longingly looks at a blue vase and reflects on how different her life could have been, had she chosen to purchase it and make a home for it.

Jess and Sarah chatted with the owner of the Fayre Earth Gift Shop, Elizabeth Adams. Elizabeth shares the experience of first being contacted by a set scout about being a filming location for an upcoming tv show, about 11 years ago. In our interview, we were able to hear a firsthand account of a resident of Falkland as to what it was like to have this production happening on the streets.

Elizabeth also discusses the cosmetic changes made to her shop for the show and the impact of Outlander on tourism in Falkland. She shares the items she sells in her shop, including fair trade and locally made products, and the charity work she does with the proceeds.

Elizabeth also shares some funny and memorable stories of Outlander fans visiting her shop.
