Fairytale Sleep Story: The Tears of Prunella19 Mar 202400:39:40

Welcome back! Tonight we have a fairytale sleep story called 'The Tears of Prunella' by Evelyn Sharp. In this dreamy fairytale, we follow a young lad who is deaf due to an enchantment bestowed upon him by the whims of fairyland. This enchantment separates him from the world he so dearly wishes to be a part of and, with unwavering determination, he seeks to become a real boy—not for the sake of hearing the songs of birds or the rustle of the wind, but to hear the tears of his princess and offer the comfort that only true friendship can provide.

As always, the story begins with a short 'settling in relaxation' followed by the storytelling. The soft background music will continue for short while after the storytelling to help you transition to sleep. Enjoy and sweet dreams!
Your friend,
Joanne :)

I will be reading Chapters 11& 12.  Tonight's reading also includes a short little relaxation to help you settle in before the narration begins.  After the storytelling is over, the music will continue for a while longer to help you transition peacefully to a restful sleep.

Little House on the Prairie is the second book of the Little House series. This story is about a little girl named Laura Ingalls and her family who leave behind their little House in the Big Woods of Wisconsin and are now heading to Kansas. The story captures the essence of pioneer life through the eyes of a young Laura. SPECIAL HALLOWEEN EPISODE: The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe 31 Oct 202300:23:21

[CONTENT WARNING: The content in this story is NOT APPROPIATE for young listeners or anyone with a sensitive nature. The following story is a psychological mystery and may be disturbing to some listeners as it contains elements of violence, insanity, paranoia, and dismemberment of a human body.]

Welcome to tonight's Halloween Episode where I will read 'The Tell-Tale Heart' by Edgar Allan Poe, published in 1863.  This short story is related by a narrator who tries to convince the listener that he is not insane while describing the details of a murder he committed.

I know this is not my typical storytelling choice but I wanted to challenge myself and try something new. I hope you enjoy it! After you listen...perhaps you can settle in for the night with a more relaxing tale to help you drift off!

Happy Halloween my friend!
