| DPR Episode 100: WJC Preview Russia with Dylan Griffing | 27 Dec 2020 | 00:53:27 | |
DobberProspects Russian scout Dylan Griffing joins the show to review the Russian roster for the 2021 World Juniors. Jaroslav Askarov could see every start for Russia as arguably the top goalie in the tournament. Perhaps the weak link if any on the Russian roster could be the defense. The highest-drafted prospect on their defense is Shakir Mukamadulin (20 overall in the 2020 first round) But Dylan pegs either Semyon Chistyakov (Nashville) or Daniil Chayka (2021 Draft) as their best player on the blue-line.
The top name at forward is Vancouver darling prospect Vasili Podkolzin, but both Peter and Dylan are not as bullish on him as most and explain why. Prospects to watch from the Russian forwards include Rodion Amiriv (Toronto), Marat Khusnutdinov (Minnesota), Yegor Chinakhov (Columbus), and Dylan names a great sleeper to keep an eye on. Enjoy the show and thanks for listening.

| DPR Episode 99: Finland WJC Preview with Marco Bombino | 19 Dec 2020 | 00:48:46 | |
Marco Bombino guests to preview Team Finland for the 2021 World Juniors. It comes as a surprise to Peter and Marco that 2021 NHL draft top prospect Attu Raty and Carolina prospect Patrick Puistola failed to secure roster spots. Both would have been returning players. Finland will look to 18-year-old Joel Blomquist to secure the starting goalie position. Marco gets Peter up to speed on the two backup options in Kari Piiroinen, and Roope Taponen. A pair of Toronto Maple Leaf prospects will help lead the defense in Mikko Kokkonen, and Topi Niemela. They will be supported by Jets prospect Ville Heinola. Keep an eye on Florida prospect Kasper Puutio, and undrafted prospect Ruben Rafkin Anton Lundell will drive the offense upfront and should be flanked by Roni Hirvonen and Kasper Simontaival. A sleeper to watch for could be Nashville prospect Juuso Parssinen who Marco feels could be the second-line center between Sens Roby Jarventie, and 2022 top prospect Brad Lambert. All eyes will be on Lambert as he could be the first Finnish player selected first overall in NHL Draft history.
| DPR Episode 98: WJC Sweden Preview with Jimmy Hamrin | 19 Dec 2020 | 00:51:59 | |
McKeen's European scout Jimmy Hamrin joins the show to preview Team Sweden for the 2021 World Junior Hugo Alnefelt will return as the potential starting goalie, but Jimmy believes 2021 draft prospect Jesper Wallstedt may win the job by the end of the tournament. Last year Sweden had a loaded defense with six NHL first-round drafted players. This year the group will be lead by Victor Soderstrom and Philip Broberg. Detroit prospect Albert Johansson is a fast-rising prospect Jimmy says to keep an eye on. In fact, the Detroit Red Wings have five prospects on Team Sweden Lucas Raymond, Gustav Berglund, Theodore Niederbach, Elmer Soderblom and Johansson. Noel Gunler who was the big omission from the team last year will be one of the big guns on forward along with Alexander Holtz and Lucas Raymond. Jimmy expects Niederbach to be the first-line center. Sweden has named six undrafted players to the roster, Jesper Wallstedt, Alex Brannstam, Ludvig Hedstrom, Oscar Bjerselius, Oskar Kvist, Oskar Olausson, and Jonathan Wikstrom. Listen to the episode as Jimmy gives his take on which ones will be drafted, who has fantasy upside, and who does not. Enjoy the show, and thanks for listening.

| DPR Episode 84: Joe Meloni of CNH on top NCAA Signings | 13 Apr 2020 | 01:07:57 | |
It seems each year the NCAA keeps producing more and more and better prospects. The NCAA has become quite a feeder league for the NHL and Fantasy Hockey. This year has a weak class of free agent prospects, but a strong crop of drafted players. Joe Meloni from CHN joins the show for another long episode and we discuss a lot of players you need to know or own in your fantasy leagues. First up is the free agent class. As mentioned it is not outstanding, but there are some quality prospects. Marc Michaelis (VAN) Connor Mackey (CGY) Brinson Pasichnuk (SNJ) Jack Achan (BOS) Alec Rauhausser (FLA) Mitchell Chaffee (MIN) And a player Pete didn't catch that Joe says is the best of the bunch...Drew O'Connor (PIT) We didn't get to talk about all the players we wanted to but drafted and turning pro prospects we discuss include John Leonard (SNJ) A great hidden gem uncovered by Joe Scott perunovich (STL) The Hobey Baker winner Dylan Samberg (WPG) Evan Barratt (CHI) Wade Allison and Tanner Laczynski (PHI) Jason and David Cotton (CAR) Ian Mitchell (CHI) Mattias Samuelsson (BUF) Patrick Harper (NAS) We assume you already know all about the likes of Trevor Zegras, Alex Turcotte, K'Andre Miller, and Tyler Madden, so we dedicated our time to the lesser know but still fantasy relevant players. Enjoy the show and thanks for listening!
| DPR Episode 83: European Free Agents and Draft Prospects with Jokke Nevalainen | 13 Apr 2020 | 01:38:54 | |
Jokke rejoins the podcast to help shed some light on this years crop of free agent talents potentially signing in the NHL, top prospects crossing the pond, and of course, draft eligible prospects.
First up is Top players coming tot he NHL. Kirill Kaprizov may be the best player outside the NHL and his highly anticipated NHL debut seems to be on the horizon. Is he going to have an impact like Artemi Panarin, or Vadim Shipachoyv? Jokke has an even better comparison. Is Alex Romanov going to be worth the hype? Is he the Habs next franchise defenseman? Ilya Sorokin looks to be coming to North America. Will the NY Islanders prospect have the same type of immediate impact as Igor Shestorkin had with the Rangers? Other prospects expected to play somewhere in North America covered include: Nils Lundkvist (NYR), Samuel Fagemo (LAK), Grigori Denisenko (FLA), Jesse Ylonen (MTL), Arttu Ruostalainen (BUF), Tim Berni (CBJ), and Andrei Altybarmakyan (CHI). Prospects that may take a little longer that were also briefly touched on include Nils Hoglander (VAN), Dominik Bokk (CR), Justus Annunen (COL), and Mattias Macelli (ARI) Free Agents coming to North America are always a tempting fantasy hockey add, and sometimes they pay dividends. This years crop is underwhelming but includes... Alex Barabanov - Recently signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Don't expect similar upside as last years find in Ilya Mikhayev. Mikko Lehtonen may be the jewel of the bunch, if he is in fact a free agent. Jokke explains more on that. Julius Nattinen, previously an Anaheim prospect has rediscovered his game in Europe and may be headed back to North America. Artyom Zub, links have him potentially headed to the Ottawa Senators. Johannes Kinnvall, and Eemeli Suomi (Captian Finland) wrap up this segment.
2020 European draft prospects are all players Pete wanted to learn more about and include Shakir Mukhamadullin, Alex Pashin, Kasper Simontaival, Helge Grans, Noel Gunler, Zion Nybeck and Germans Stutzle and Peterka. Jokke brings the good stuff for this episode, enjoy and thanks for listening!
