The Afrika Arts Kollective, in collaboration with DHAADHA'S FIREPLACE, organised a community night and arts talk. During this event, various creative artists gathered around the fireplace to discuss and share strategies and tips. The purpose was to explore ways in which they could professionalize their work, earn the communal seal of approval, gain a larger customer base, and grow their businesses. The artists also aimed to support each other as a pool of creative talents.

This audio drama portrays a web of alliances, secrets, and power struggles within a rural Ugandan village, as the characters navigate the threat of the raiders and their own internal divisions. The main characters are:

1. Epolon : Father to Papa, secretly collaborating with raiders that have been terrorizing the village
2. Toto/Lucy : Papa's wife, who is critical of Epolon and aware of his shady dealings.
3. Papa : a respected man who is trying to maintain order and protect the villagers.
4. Okurut : Has a mental health condition involving a dissociative identity disorder, also known as a "split personality" or "multiple personality disorder." Okurut's condition stems from traumatic experiences, His "imaginary friend" James is a manifestation of one of Okurut's alternate personalities - a separate identity that has formed as a coping mechanism.
5. Otim, a villager who survived an attack and is now planning a rebellion against the raiders.

With the arrival of Loxodonta, Lagertha's father, the stage is set for a war that will change everything. As the secrets of the past unravel, loyalties will be tested, and the true identities and motivations of those involved will be revealed.

Follow Lagertha, Barnabas, and the other captivating characters as they navigate a treacherous world of betrayal, love, and revenge in "LAGERTHA."

As the night unfolds, Lagertha and Barnabas venture out to a club, unaware that they are being pursued. A violent encounter ensues, resulting in a fatal confrontation that shatters their world. Panic sets in as they attempt to escape, but their lives take an unexpected turn when Mr. Wit, a cunning former private investigator, intercepts Lagertha while Barnabas finds himself at the mercy of shadowy figures.

Tensions rise within Lagertha's family as her rebellious brother, Douglas, clashes with her over their differing moral compasses. The sudden concern of their neglectful mother about their security raises suspicion.

Caught in a love triangle, Barnabas is tormented by guilt after sharing a forbidden kiss with Lagertha. Consumed by remorse, he distances himself from his wife, Precious, who seeks solace elsewhere and unwittingly becomes entangled with Honorable, the enigmatic leader of a shadow organization seeking revenge against Lagertha's father.

Seventeen-year-old Lagertha, yearning for her absent father's attention, finds solace in her bond with Barnabas, her dedicated teacher. As their relationship deepens, Lagertha musters the courage to confess her feelings to Barnabas, setting off a chain of events that will test their loyalty and unravel their lives.
