Milestone Events That Should Have Triggered Action – Chronological Breakdown

• 1983–1985

  • Pauline Johnson’s murder – Her body was found near the Pickton property. Pickton was considered a person of interest due to proximity and ownership of boning knives. No charges laid.

• Early to Mid-1980s

  • Allegations of assault and kidnapping linked to Pickton emerge, but no formal charges or follow-ups.

• Late 1980s

  • Babysitter disappears after working on the Pickton farm. A woman named Kathy allegedly contacted police, but no investigation followed.

• 1989

  • Sexual assault in Surrey – Pickton was named a suspect.
    🔥 Case file later destroyed, eliminating critical early evidence of violent behavior.

• 1991

  • Nancy Clark disappears from Victoria. Her DNA is later found on Pickton’s farm—suggesting he was active years earlier than officially acknowledged.

• 1997 – Attempted murder of "Miss Anderson"

  • She was stabbed four times by Pickton, managed to escape, disarmed him, and even stabbed him in self-defense.
    Pickton was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
    Charges stayed in 1998 due to her addiction issues. No victim protection or support offered.
    Crown file destroyed in 2000 or 2001—a violation of mandatory 75-year file retention.

• 1999 – New Westminster sexual assault

  • Another sex worker was sexually assaulted and strangled but survived. Willing to testify. No charges filed.

• 1999 – Burnaby threat

  • A woman recognized Pickton, stated he had threatened her. Again, no follow-up.

• 1999 – Barrel deliveries observed

  • Police witnessed Pickton delivering barrels to West Coast Reduction, a rendering plant.
    ❌ Despite tips suggesting he was disposing of human remains, no inspection was done.

• August 1999

  • RCMP considered a search warrant and wiretap, but the Crown advised against it.
    Affidavit was drafted.
    ❌ Never submitted.

• January 2000 – Voluntary RCMP interview

  • Pickton was not read his rights, and his friend answered questions for him, compromising the interview. No usable intel gained.

• 2000 – Pickton offers DNA search

  • He voluntarily offered police to search his property for DNA. They declined.

• August 1999 & April 2000 – Sex worker surveys

  • Multiple women identified Pickton and described disturbing encounters.
    ❌ This information was not communicated effectively across investigative teams.

• February 6, 2002 – Firearm search warrant

  • Pickton’s property was searched for illegal firearms, not murder.
    Discovery of disturbing evidence led to a second warrant and massive crime scene investigation.

1. Unidentified Male DNA (Part 1)

   • Over 40 unidentified male DNA profiles were found at the crime scene, including on victims’ remains and murder weapons — and Robert Pickton's DNA was excluded from many of them.

   • DNA was recovered from handcuff keys, buckets, chewing gum, and tools, indicating hands-on involvement by multiple unknown men.

   • One man, Pat Casanova, had his DNA everywhere: on bones, scales, and in slaughter areas, yet he was never charged.

2. The RCMP's Shocking Social Visit (Part 2)

   • In 2001, Corporal Frank Henley of the RCMP visited Pickton's farm under the guise of a “social call” and told Pickton the names of two informants.

   • He did so a full year before Pickton’s arrest, potentially endangering key witnesses and compromising the investigation.

   • Henley later shrugged off the visit, saying he “just wanted to meet him.” His actions are suspected to have delayed the arrest — while Pickton continued killing.

   • Out of millions of documents and over 600,000 exhibits, less than 20% of the Pickton case files have ever been made public.

   • The RCMP is accused of actively destroying physical evidence, despite new DNA technologies that could identify additional victims or perpetrators.

Despite forensic red flags, digital anomalies, and physical barriers that made her presence at the location implausible, the Vancouver Police declared her death "not suspicious."

But the data tells a different story.

When we analyze the clusters of missing and murdered Indigenous women—Chelsea Poorman, Noelle O'Soup, Tatiana Harrison, and others—we find geographic, temporal, and investigative overlaps that are impossible to ignore. Predators are operating in and around Vancouver, emboldened by low clearance rates, jurisdictional confusion, and a lack of media scrutiny.

This is not theory.

This is pattern.

We look at the Hemlock Valley Killer, Robert Pickton, the “Boozing Barber,” and hundreds of high-risk predators who were quietly documented by authorities and then ignored. Many of them used the Downtown Eastside like a hunting ground—because they could.

Because they were allowed to.

Predators share information.

They migrate to jurisdictions with weak investigations.

They exploit our digital blind spots and take advantage of dark tourism, drug crises, money laundering networks, and communities already torn apart by addiction and poverty.

Among the many disturbing truths, none haunts me more than the disappearance and mysterious death of Chelsea Poorman.

Chelsea was a 24-year-old First Nations woman who came to Vancouver for a fresh start.

Instead, she became yet another name in the long list of missing and murdered Indigenous women.

After vanishing in 2020, her remains were found nearly two years later in the unlikeliest of places—a $10 million Shaughnessy mansion.

What makes this case so disturbing isn't just where Chelsea was found—it's how the system responded.

The Vancouver Police Department labeled her death "non-suspicious" despite overwhelming forensic red flags: her skull was missing, her body was discovered in a secure property surrounded by hedges, fencing, and surveillance, and her known mobility issues made it nearly impossible for her to have reached the location on her own.

Add in the presence of zip ties, suspicious objects, and a conveniently missing phone—and you get a case screaming for deeper investigation.

But it never came.

I've walked the grounds where Chelsea was found. I've spoken at length with her father, Mike.

I've reviewed footage, aerial photos, and records that contradict the official story.

Construction activity, flyover drone shots, weather conditions, and biological evidence all suggest one thing: Chelsea was not there for 19 months.

She was placed there—likely after death—and her story swept under the rug.

And this isn't an isolated incident.
