This comes as Thomas Mazloum moves from his role as Disneyland Resort President to that of Disney Experiences Chairman. In his place, President and Manager of Disney Parks International Jill Estorino will be taking over leadership of The Happiest Place on Earth! All of this comes under the umbrella of the current Chairman of Disney Experiences, Josh D'Amaro's promotion to CEO of The Walt Disney Company.

On January 7, 2025, fires began to erupt around Los Angeles. This led to thousands of people being displaced, many losing their homes, and others losing their livelihoods. Some also lost their lives. As the fires continue to rage on, a member of the Disney community Jeff Gordon has sprung to action to raise funds for the LA Regional Food Bank. Since 1987, Star Tours has been giving guests "greatest hits" from the Star Wars universe. Through the decades, guests have been given the experience of doing the trench run as they join the Rebel Alliance in attacking the Death Star, take part in a podcast race on Tatooine, or even join the Battle of Crait!

Through the years, there has been one Imagineer who has been a central part of making this attraction magical. Chief Storytelling Executive/Senior Creative Executive at Walt Disney Imagineering, Tom Fitzgerald has been working on Star Tours, and now Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, for four decades.
