87| Why Email Marketing Still Works for Dance Studios26 Jun 202500:17:21

Is email marketing really dead? Not even close. In this episode, Ginger breaks down why email is still one of the most effective (and underused) marketing tools for dance studio owners. While many are chasing algorithms and likes on social media, you could be building relationships—and boosting revenue—directly in your customers’ inboxes.

From segmenting your list to increase relevance, to running successful email campaigns that result in real sales (yes, even last-minute program sign-ups!), this episode is packed with actionable advice you can start using right away.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Why email marketing outperforms social media for actual enrollment and engagement

  • How to use email to promote specific offerings like birthday parties, private lessons, and camps

  • The power of list segmentation (and how it keeps people from unsubscribing)

  • How to test interest in a new program—before you spend time building it

  • Real results from a last-minute email campaign that saved a summer program

  • How to integrate email with your paid ads for better lead conversion

Key Takeaway:
You don’t need to go viral to grow your studio—you need a strategy. And email is a powerful, cost-effective one that leads directly to sales.

74| More Enrollments, Same Struggles: Why Growth Isn't the Answer27 Mar 202500:19:00

In this episode of Life Coaching for Dance Studio Owners, Ginger Haithcox shares a heartfelt message about a common misconception in the dance studio industry—believing that more students will solve all your business challenges. While marketing is important, it’s not a magic fix for deeper issues like financial mismanagement, high staff turnover, leadership struggles, or poor pricing strategies.

Ginger breaks down why studio owners often fall into the trap of thinking that growth equals success and offers a fresh perspective on what truly creates a thriving, sustainable business. She shares practical strategies for optimizing operations, refining pricing structures, and strengthening leadership so that growth doesn’t lead to burnout.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the pressure to constantly enroll more students, this episode will help you shift your focus to building a business that supports both your financial goals and your well-being.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:
✅ Why adding more students won’t fix financial, staffing, or leadership issues
✅ The hidden cost of marketing when retention and systems aren’t in place
✅ How mindset impacts your success and financial stability
✅ Why pricing correctly is more powerful than just increasing enrollment
✅ The importance of optimizing before scaling

Key Takeaways:
👉 You don’t have to wait until you hit a “magic” number of students to feel successful.
👉 More students won’t fix broken systems—they will only magnify existing problems.
👉 Small, strategic changes in pricing, staffing, and leadership can make a huge impact.
👉 Sustainable growth starts with optimizing your business first, then scaling.

69| Overcoming Catastrophic Thinking with Brittany Milan | How Business Owners Can Handle Anxiety That Keeps Them from Moving Forward20 Feb 202500:28:35

Are your negative thoughts in the driver’s seat? Then it’s time to take back control! Today I talk with Studio Owner and author, Brittany Milan. Her book, Overcoming Catastrohpic Thinking, asks the questions:

Are you plagued by intrusive thoughts?

Do your negative thought cycles cause problems in your relationships, or get in the way of your ability to enjoy life?

Perhaps your mind will automatically jump to the worst possible outcome in any situation, no matter how unlikely it is… Or maybe you’re consumed by the fear of natural disasters and how they would affect your family if they happened.

You know your mind is racing, but it seems that the more you try to get rid of these thoughts, the louder they become.

That’s because the secret to quietening them isn’t to ignore them or try to brush them aside… It’s to acknowledge them and challenge them until you’re the one in control, not your thoughts.
