Popcorn (1991)01 Feb 202301:05:28

On today's episode, we're heading over to the Dreamland Theater for our all night horror movie marathon, while we have a sick Reggae concert in the middle of it for seemingly no reason, and we're also trying to fight for our lives against a scary man with no face, while we revisit the forgotten early 90s horror gem, Popcorn (1991). This movie was written by Alan Ormsby and directed by Mark Herrier.

This movie stars Jill Schoelen (The Stepfather, When a Stranger Calls Back), Tom Villard (Grease 2, My Girl), Dee Wallace (The Howling, Cujo), Kelly Jo Minter (The People Under The Stairs, A NIghtmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child), and Tony Roberts (The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, Amityville 3-D).

This movie is such an odd find and definitely marches to the beat of its own drum, and I think is absolutely the definition of a forgotten horror gem. Does the plot make a whole lot of sense? No!! Is some of the imagery in this movie legitimately scary? Yes!! Is Reggae music always the right choice? Absolutely!!! Take a chance and watch this film, and you might get something fun out of it!!

Can't Hardly Wait (1998)25 Jan 202301:51:44

On today's episode, we're throwing our caps and gowns in the air and heading over to the big party after graduation, cruising in the car while listening to Barry Manilow, and getting locked in the bathroom with our distant childhood friend turned lover, while we revisit the absolutely 90s cult classic teen film, Can't Hardly Wait. This movie was written and directed by Harry Elfont and Deborah Kaplan.

This movie stars Ethan Embry (Defending Your Life, Empire Records), Jennifer Love Hewitt (I Know What You Did Last Summer, Party of Five), Peter Facinelli (Nurse Jackie, Twilight), Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under, Law and Order), Seth Green (Family Guy, Robot Chicken), and Charlie Korsmo (Hook, Dick Tracy). This movie also includes a bazillion other cameos from up-and-coming stars in Hollywood including Melissa Joan Hart, Jason Segal, and Selma Blair.

This movie screams late 90s to the fullest, and is a true example of doing a lot with a smaller budget. This movie definitely paved the way for other teen films after it, and it's absolutely worth a watch for those who haven't seen it, and it's an enjoyable, quotable, romp for those who are very familiar with it.

On today's episode, we're heading over to homeroom at American Eagle Christian High School, praying for our recently outed friend at Prayer Circle, and maybe perform an exorcism or two with Mandy Moore and her horrible hair, while we cover the religious satire film, Saved (2004). This movie was directed by Brian Dannelly and co-written by Brian Dannelly and Michael Urban

This movie stars Jena Malone (Stepmom, The Neon Demon), Mandy Moore (The Princess Diaries, A Walk To Remember), Macaulay Culkin (Home Alone, Richie Rich), Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous, Gone Girl), Heather Matarazzo (Welcome To The Dollhouse, 54), Eva Amurri (The Banger Sisters, Californication), Martin Donovan (Big Little Lies, Weeds) and Mary Louise-Parker (Fried Green Tomatoes, Angels in America).

This movie is a great example of an entertaining teen film, and if you haven't ever seen this movie, please do yourself a favor and go watch it immediately!!!

You won't regret it!! :)

Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama (1988) with special guest Pickens Barringer11 Jan 202301:37:45

On today's episode, we’re heading over to the bowling alley to go steal a trophy and go see our not so favorite Uncle Impie, while we revisit the sleazy late 80s cult classic, Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama (1988). This movie was directed by David DeCoteau and written by Sergei Hasenecz.

This movie stars Linnea Quigley (Graduation Day, Silent Night, Deadly Night), Robin Rochelle (The Slumber Party Massacre, American Ninja 4: The Annihilation), Brinke Stevens (Slave Girls from Beyond Infinity, Nightmare Sisters), and Michelle Bauer (Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, Evil Toons).

For this episode, I'm joined by my absolute favorite hot mess twink, Pickens Barringer. We talk about him meeting the absolute goddess that is Felissa Rose, a brief history on the direct to video movie market of the 80s, and just talking about this stupid, stupid movie! This film is a perfect example of a "so bad it's good" movie, although I don't know how much I'd agree with that. If you're into bad movies and maybe slightly offensive jive-talking puppets, this might be just up your alley.

NOTE: Pickens decided that he needed to show us all how to properly breathe in and out to maintain homeostasis, so you’ll hear him breathing throughout the episode.

If that’s a problem for you, I have plenty of other episodes for you to listen to.

But I'm a Cheerleader (1999)04 Jan 202301:23:15

On today's episode, we're going to sneak out from True Directions, and head over to the Cocksucker Bar for a night of uninhibited gay fun while we revisit the sapphic campy glory that is But I'm A Cheerleader (1999). This movie was directed by Jamie Babbit and written by Brian Wayne Peterson with a story credit by Jamie Babbit.

This movie stars Natasha Lyonne (Slums of Beverly Hills, American Pie), Clea Duvall (The Faculty, She's All That), Rupaul (The Brady Bunch Movie, A Very Brady Sequel), and Cathy Moriarty (Raging Bull, Casper). Other actors in this film include Melanie Lynskey (Heavenly Creatures, Yellowjackets), Dante Basco (Hook, Avatar: The Last Airbender), and a small cameo from Michelle Williams (Dawson's Creek).

This movie is such a queer comedic classic, and is an absolute staple for the lesbians and gays in general. It's campy, satirical, over-the-top, but also has some deep things to say about living the gay experience. If you've never seen this film, you should add it to your watchlist immediately, so you can experience this film.

Clueless (1995) with special guest Sarah Heidelberg21 Dec 202202:36:25

On today's episode, we’re heading out to a Val party and rollin' with the homies on our way out to Sunset, while we revisit the perfect movie that is Clueless (1995). This movie was written and directed by Amy Heckerling.

This movie stars Alicia Silverstone (True Crime, American Woman), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man, Romeo+Juliet ), Brittany Murphy (Riding In Cars With Boys, Uptown Girls), and Dan Hedaya (Dick, In & Out).

This film is one of my absolute favorite films ever. Everything from the lexicon to the fashions is utterly amazing, and it really began a sea change over what teen films could be. This movie has had a lasting impact on teen movies as a whole, and I'm so happy to be covering this film with my wonderful sister, Sarah Heidelberg.

Dazed and Confused (1993) with special guest Sarah Heidelberg17 Dec 202202:08:19

On today's episode, we’re heading over to The Emporium for a game of pool, cruise around town in our nice ass muscle cars, and get super beer drunk on cheap beer, while we revisit the beautiful 70s period piece, Dazed and Confused (1993). This movie was written and directed by Richard Linklater.

This movie stars Jason London (To Wong Foo, The Rage: Carrie 2), Ben Affleck (School Ties, Mallrats), Matthew McConaughey (A Time To Kill, Contact), Parker Posey (Party Girl, Clockwatchers), Adam Goldberg (Stay Alive, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days), and Rory Cochrane (Empire Records, Oculus). This film oozes 70s style and is such a fun look at a time in history when so much was going on. It's got great music, the plot is pretty simple to follow, and it's so cool to see actors that have hit it big start off early in their careers. This is definitely worth a watch if you've never seen it. I also think it's also great for repeat viewings!!!

NOTE: You’ll hear us hitting the mic throughout. I take responsibility for placing the mic on a couch, so you can listen to all of our moving around! Just think of it as an added layer of reality.

Elvira, Mistress Of The Dark (1988)07 Dec 202201:27:10

On today's episode, we’re heading to Fallwell, Massachusetts to go freak out the normies, try to get $50k to open our show in Las Vegas, and maybe fall in love, while we revisit the beautifully campy cult classic film, Elvira, Mistress Of The Dark (1988). This movie was directed by James Signorelli and written by Cassandra Peterson, John Paragon, and Sam Egan.

This movie stars Cassandra Peterson (Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, All About Evil), W. Morgan Sheppard (Wild at Heart, Transformers), Edie McClurg (Carrie, Natural Born Killers), and Daniel Greene (Me, Myself & Irene, There's Something About Mary)

This film is so wonderfully tongue-in-cheek and campy. It captures the essence of Elvira's character and showcases Cassandra Peterson’s humor so well. It’s a favorite film amongst the queer community, and can really be enjoyed by anyone who loves a silly, spooky film.

On today's episode, we're heading up to our gorgeous New York City penthouse while we ruin lives and look absolutely fabulous while doing so, while we revisit the super horny teen romance drama, Cruel Intentions (1999). This movie was written and directed by Roger Kumble.

This movie stars Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Scooby-Doo), Ryan Phillippe (I Know What You Did Last Summer, Crash), Reese Witherspoon (Election, Fear), and Selma Blair (Legally Blonde, The Sweetest Thing).

I'm joined by a wonderful guest for this episode; my wonderful sister, Sarah Heidelberg. We talk about how this movie shaped our adolescence, super fun facts regarding this wonderful film, book-to-movie adaptations, and our mutual love for cinema. If you wanna hear us shoot the shit for 2 hrs, you're in luck, it was a fun conversation.

Frankenhooker (1990)23 Nov 202200:40:30

On today's episode, we're heading down to 42nd Street to visit some of the ladies of the night and also to gather some body parts to put our girlfriend back together, while I revisit the absolutely twisted cult classic film, Frankenhooker (1990). This movie was directed by Frank Hennenlotter and co-written by Frank and Robert Martin.

This movie stars James Lorinz (Street Trash, Last Exit to Brooklyn), Patty Mullen (Doom Asylum, The Equalizer), and Louise Lasser (Blood Rage, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman)

This movie is a wonderful example of a cult classic, written and directed by one of the kings of the cult film himself, Frank Hennenlotter. If you want a crazy film that you can turn your brain off and have a fun time with, this would definitely be a high recommendation.

Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) with special guest Josh Gorski03 Jul 202401:51:51

"You're talking about the richest family in a small town. It's front page news when one of them takes a shit!"

On today's episode, join me and my guest Josh Gorski, from Video Dropbox, as we dive into the wild and kooky world of Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). This dark comedy is a delicious mix of morbid and acerbic, and it has stayed a cult classic for many years. This film is also celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, so I thought why not dive into it. This movie was written by Lona Williams, and was directed by Michael Patrick Jann.

This movie stars Kirsten Dunst, Allison Janey, Ellen Barkin, Kirstie Alley, and a whole host of other actors like Brittany Murphy and Amy Adams (in her feature film debut)

Blast From The Past (1999)16 Nov 202200:53:57

On today's episode, we're coming out of our fallout shelter with our baseball cards, heading over to the hardware store (and the liquor store), and booking a room at the Holiday Inn while we revisit the often-overlooked romantic comedy, Blast From The Past (1999). This movie was directed by Hugh Wilson and written by Hugh Wilson and Bill Kelly.

This movie stars Brendan Fraser (The Mummy, George Of The Jungle), Alicia Silverstone (The Crush, Clueless), Christopher Walken (Annie Hall, Catch Me If You Can), Sissy Spacek (Carrie, Coal Miner's Daughter), and Dave Foley (A Bug's Life, Dick).

This is a gem of a film, and if you're at all a fan of Brendan Fraser or Alicia Silverstone, this is a movie to watch, for sure. It has heart, some light social commentary, and is overall a good watch.

On today's episode, we're putting on our best 72-minute lips, heading over to Herrington High School, and trying to fight against the parasitic aliens that took over our teachers, while we revisit the fantastic late 90s teen horror flick, The Faculty (1998). This movie was directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Kevin Williamson.

This movie stars Elijah Wood (The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, Sin City), Clea Duvall (But I’m A Cheerleader, She’s All That), Josh Hartnett (The Virgin Suicides, Black Hawk Down), Jordana Brewster (The Fast And The Furious, D.E.B.S), and Laura Harris (A Mighty Wind, Severance) as our group of teenagers fighting for their lives, while we have performances by Bebe Neuwirth, Piper Laurie, and Robert Patrick as some of the faculty members of this school.

The Slumber Party Massacre (1982) with special guest Pickens Barringer26 Oct 202200:47:28

On today's episode, we're ordering some pizza, getting some slug hunting in, and fending for our lives while we revisit the absolute horror cult classic, The Slumber Party Massacre (1982). I'm also joined by your favorite local hot mess twink himself, Pickens Barringer! This movie was written by Rita Mae Brown, and directed by Amy Holden-Jones.

This movie stars Michelle Michaels (New Year's Evil), Robin Stille (Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama), and Brinke Stevens (Savage Streets, Tales From The Darkside, Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama)

This is an absolute staple of 80s slashers and is also a relatively feminist piece of cinema, as well. We get into the film's production history, the subsequent sequels, and the remake, and just generally shoot the shit as gay-ass horror fans. You won't want to miss this episode, and be sure to do yourself a favor and watch this fantastic movie!!!

Urban Legend (1998)26 Oct 202201:28:01

On today's episode, we're putting on our best parkas, looking for guys on Goth4Goth, and heading over to Pendleton University while we revisit the absolute 90s horror classic, Urban Legend (1998). This movie was directed by Jamie Blanks and written by Silvio Horta.

This movie stars Alicia Witt (Cecil B. Demented, Twin Peaks, Mr. Holland's Opus), Rebecca Gayheart (Scream 2, Dead Like Me, Jawbreaker), Jared Leto (My So-Called Life, The Dallas Buyer's Club, Suicide Squad), Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville, Sorority Boys, Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil), and Tara Reid (The Big Lebowski, American Pie, Sharknado). We also have some fabulous cameos from Robert Englund (Freddy Kreuger), Brad Dourif (Chucky from Child's Play), and Danielle Harris (Jamie Lloyd from Halloween 4 and 5).

This is an absolute staple of late 90s slashers, and really brought the idea of urban legends into the popular culture. The story of how the film's director (Jamie Blanks) and writer (Silvio Horta) got to make this film is also a great story, too! Pull up on this movie as soon as you can. It's a fun time!

Hocus Pocus (1993)19 Oct 202201:04:49

On today's episode, we're putting on our best red lipstick, trying not to get our shoes stolen by bullies, and fighting against sisterly witches who want children's souls at the same time, while we revisit the absolute Halloween classic, Hocus Pocus (1993).

This movie stars Bette Midler (Beaches, The Rose), Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex And The City, The First Wives Club), Kathy Najimy (Soapdish, Sister Act, King Of The Hill), Vinessa Shaw (The Hills Have Eyes, We Need To Do Something), and Doug Jones (Pan's Labyrinth, The Shape of Water)

This movie has become an absolute classic kid's film for Halloween and is an example of a cult classic movie. The songs in the film are fun, the colors are great, and the acting from our three main leads chews up all the scenery, and it's great to watch these folks have fun!! Give this a watch!!

Sleepaway Camp (1983)12 Oct 202201:02:26

On today's episode, we're heading to Camp Arawak in our shortest of short shorts, playing an excellent, bitchy game of volleyball and baseball, while at the same time, trying not to get murdered while we revisit the absolute cult classic horror film, Sleepaway Camp (1983).

This movie stars Felissa Rose (Return to Sleepaway Camp, Victor Crowley), Jonathan Tiersten (Return to Sleepaway Camp), Christopher Collet (The Manhattan Project, The Purge), Mike Kellin (The Twilight Zone, Lost in Space, Starsky and Hutch), and Katherine Kamhi (All My Children, Ghost Whisperer, The Fosters)

This film is absolutely NUTS and has such a storied history with how the film portrays gay and trans folks. All in all, it's definitely a movie that is unlike any other one I've ever seen before, and I think for any horror movie newbie, it's definitely worth a watch to just bask in the absolutely terrible glory of this film.

On today's episode, we're traveling to Halloween Town, grabbing our best spooky Santa hats, and making a pit stop over at Christmas Town while we revisit the absolute holiday cult classic movie, Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993).

This movie was directed by Henry Selick (James and the Giant Peach, Coraline) and written by Caroline Thompson (with story credit to Tim Burton). This movie stars Chris Sarandon (Fright Night, The Princess Bride), Catherine O'Hara (Home Alone, Schitt's Creek), Danny Elfman (The Gift, Corpse Bride), Ken Page (All Dogs Go To Heaven, Torch Song Trilogy), and Paul Reubens (Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Buffy The Vampire Slayer

This movie is an absolute classic in stop-motion animation and still looks good. It's a simple story that can be shown at pretty much any time of year and is an excellent way for kids to dip their toes into the horror pool. I love this film, and I hope you will, too.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)28 Sep 202201:02:54

On today's episode, we're heading up to that weird castle that we passed a few miles back and entering at our own risk while we revisit the absolutely seminal cult classic film, The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). This movie was directed by Jim Sharman and written by Richard O'Brien.

This movie stars Tim Curry (Clue, Charlie's Angels, Scary Movie 2), Susan Sarandon (Thelma and Louise, Stepmom, The Banger Sisters), Barry Bostwick (Weekend at Bernie's II, Teen Beach Movie, Incredibles 2), Richard O'Brien (Shock Treatment, Spice World, Elvira's Haunted Hills), Patricia Quinn (Shock Treatment, Monty Python's The Meaning of Life), and Nell Campbell (Shock Treatment, Pink Floyd-The Wall).

This film is the definition of a midnight movie that laid the groundwork for other cult films to come. This movie embraces the oddballs of the world and is a beautiful example of camp. Please do yourself a favor and pop this movie on. Enjoy the wonderful music, enjoy the horrid acting, and give yourself over to absolute pleasure.

The Wicker Man (1973)21 Sep 202200:59:50

On today's episode, we're donning our police outfits, getting in our seaplane, and heading out to Sommerisle to look for a missing girl and revisit one of the all-time classic cult horror films, The Wicker Man (1973). This movie was directed by Robin Hardy and written by Anthony Shaffer.

This movie stars Edward Woodward (Breaker Morent, Hot Fuzz, EastEnders), Christopher Lee (The Curse of Frankenstein, Dracula, Sleepy Hollow), Britt Eckland (The Man with the Golden Gun, The Monster Club, The Love Boat), and Diane Cilento (The Third Secret, Duet for Four, The Boy Who Had Everything).

This is one of the foundational films for what is considered "Folk Horror" and has influenced horror as a whole. The story behind this film getting made is crazy (the negatives of this film are pretty much lost forever), but it's an absolute must-watch for any horror fan.

On a bonus episode of Cult Cinema Circle, we're leaving The Gaslight Addition, hopping on our bikes, and heading down to the swimming hole to prank the Wormer Brothers while we revisit the coming-of-age cult classic, Now and Then (1995). This movie was written by I. Marlene King and directed by Lesli Linka Glatter.

This movie stars Rosie O'Donnell (A League of Their Own, Harriet The Spy), Christina Ricci (Mermaids, Addams Family Values), Demi Moore (St. Elmo's Fire, Striptease), Gaby Hoffmann (Field of Dreams, Sleepless in Seattle), Melanie Griffith (Working Girl Cecil B. Demented)Thora Birch (Hocus Pocus, Ghost World), Rita Wilson (Jingle All The Way, Runaway Bride), and Ashleigh Aston Moore (Touched By An Angel, Northern Exposure). We also have a fabulous supporting cast that includes Devon Sawa, Janeane Garofolo, and Cloris Leachman.

This movie is often referred to as the female "Stand By Me", and I personally think that this movie is honestly just as good as that film, and is an absolute classic for girls that grew up in the 90s. It's also crazy to see how stacked this cast is, and how heartwarming the story overall is. Do yourself a favor and watch this absolute banger of a film.

Scream (1996)14 Sep 202201:52:31

On today's episode, we're stocking up on all the chips and dip and heading over to Stu Macher's house for a party, and revisiting the beloved horror classic, Scream (1996). This film was written by Kevin Williamson (Dawson's Creek, I Know What You Did Last Summer), and directed by Wes Craven (The Last House on the Left, A Nightmare on Elm Street).

This movie stars Neve Campbell (The Craft, Wild Things, Drowning Mona), Skeet Ulrich (The Craft, Riverdale), Matthew Lillard (Serial Mom, Hackers, Scooby-Doo), Rose McGowan (The Doom Generation, Charmed, Jawbreaker), Jamie Kennedy (Malibu's Most Wanted, Romeo + Juliet), Courtney Cox (Friends, Cougartown, Welcome to Shiningvale), and David Arquette (12 Hour Shift, Never Been Kissed, Eight Legged Freaks).

This movie is an absolute classic of the horror genre and really helped to revitalize the genre at a time when horror was dead as a doornail. If you haven't watched this film before, do yourself a favor and watch it TODAY!!

Carrie (1976)07 Sep 202201:24:02

On today's episode, we're putting on our best formal wear and heading over to Bates High School for the Love Among The Stars senior prom and revisiting the beautifully chilling cult classic horror film, Carrie.

This movie stars Sissy Spacek (Coal Miner's Daughter, The Straight Story), Amy Irving (The Fury, Who Framed Roger Rabbit), Nancy Allen (Dressed to Kill, Poltergeist III), Betty Buckley (Wyatt Earp, The Happening), and PJ Soles (Halloween, Rock N' Roll High School, Jawbreaker)

This is personally, my absolute favorite horror film, and it's a must-watch for any die-hard horror fan. The imagery captured in this film (from the infamous shower scene to the prom massacre scene) has been recreated, parodied and homaged for literal decades (and with good reason). Do yourself a favor and watch this film if you've never seen it before. You'll be glad that you did.

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert (1994)31 Aug 202201:26:29

On a bonus episode of Cult Cinema Circle, we're heading out to Lasseters Hotel Casino Resort in our best emu headdresses, and revisiting the penultimate queer Australian film, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994). This movie was written and directed by Stephan Elliott.

This movie stars Terence Stamp (Superman, The Company of Wolves, The Haunted Mansion), Hugo Weaving (The Matrix, Babe, Lord of the Rings), Guy Pearce (Ravenous, Memento, The King's Speech), and Bill Hunter (Muriel's Wedding, Strictly Ballroom)

This movie is almost 30 years old, at this point, and it still stands out as a beautiful piece of queer cinema. It has spawned a popular musical of the same name and has an outstanding balance of comedy and drama in the film to show what these performers are going through. If you've never seen this, definitely add it to your watchlist!!!

Muriel’s Wedding (1994)31 Aug 202201:08:37

On today's episode, we're leaving Porpoise Spit behind and picking up a shift or two at Videodrama, while I revisit an absolutely classic example of Australian cinema, Muriel's Wedding (1994). This movie was written and directed by PJ Hogan (who also directed My Best Friend's Wedding).

This movie stars Toni Collette (The Sixth Sense, Hereditary, United States of Tara), Rachel Griffiths (Six Feet Under, My Best Friend's Wedding, When We Rise), and Bill Hunter (The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert, Strictly Ballroom)

PJ Hogan has stated that this is the saddest comedy that you'll ever watch, and I'll at least confess that you'll have some strong feelings while watching this film. If you are at all a fan of any of the lead actors in this movie, do yourself a favor and RSVP to Muriel's Wedding!!

Beautiful Thing (1996)24 Aug 202201:08:07

On today's episode, we're throwing on our cutest club wear and taking the bus down to the Gloucester Pub, and revisiting the wonderful LGBTQIA+ coming-of-age film, Beautiful Thing (1996). This movie was based on a play by Jonathan Harvey (who also penned the screenplay) and was directed by Hettie McDonald.

This movie stars Glen Berry (London Bridge), Scott Neal (London's Burning, EastEnders), Linda Henry (Bad Girls, EastEnders), Tameka Empson (3 Non-Blondes, EastEnders), and Ben Daniels (The Exorcist TV Series, House of Cards).

This is an absolute classic for queer cinema that follows two young men in Thamesmead, London in the 1990s while they discover their own sexuality, and ultimately fall for one another. If you're at all a fan of queer/LGBTQIA+ cinema, definitely put this on your watchlist.

Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion (1997)17 Aug 202201:28:39

On today's episode, we're loading up the Jaguar convertible and heading down to Tuscon, AZ, and revisiting the beautiful cult classic film, Romy and Michele's High School Reunion. This film was written by Robin Schiff, and directed by David Mirkin.

This movie stars Mira Sorvino (Mighty Aphrodite, Welcome to Shiningvale), Lisa Kudrow (Friends, Clockwatchers, The Comeback), Janeane Garofolo (Reality Bites, The Truth about Cats and Dogs), and Alan Cumming (Spice World, GoldenEye, X2:X-Men United).

This movie is about two best friends who find out that their 10-year high school reunion is coming up, and they decide to reinvent themselves to impress their former classmates. This movie is super duper colorful, and has a great message about being yourself, and keeping your best friends close to you. This is a MUST-WATCH!!

Dick (1999)10 Aug 202201:21:41

On today's episode, we're baking some Hello Dolly cookies, putting on our best patriotic midriff outfits, and revisiting the political satire film, Dick (1999), directed by Andrew Fleming and co-written with Sheryl Longin.

This movie stars Kirsten Dunst (Bring It On, The Virgin Suicides, Drop Dead Gorgeous), Michelle Williams (Dawson's Creek, Halloween: H20, Blue Valentine), and Dan Hedaya (Clueless, In & Out) and is a hilarious re-imagining of the events of the Watergate Scandal in the 1970s. This film is definitely worth a watch and has a bangin' soundtrack of 70s hits throughout.

Jawbreaker (1999)09 Aug 202201:05:35

On today's episode, we're putting on our tighest rubber skirt and strutting our shit down the hallway like everything is peachy fucking keen, and revisiting the cult classic film, Jawbreaker (1999), written and directed by Darren Stein.

This movie stars Rose McGowan (The Doom Generation, Scream), Rebecca Gayheart (Beverly Hills 90210, Urban Legend, GBF), Julie Benz (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Dexter), and Judy Greer (13 Going on 30, Archer).

This can only be described as a sickly campy movie about 3 friends who accidentally kill their best friend on her birthday, and now they have to cover up the crime. If you like dark comedy movies, this is definitely a must-watch.
