Ep 6 Saint Nazianz: Wisconsin's Cursed Religious Colony16 Jun 202500:33:44

Share your thoughts or send a request

Deep in Wisconsin lies Saint Nazianz - a tiny town with one of the darkest paranormal reputations in the Midwest. Founded in 1854 by German priest Father Ambrose Oschwald, this religious commune was meant to be paradise. Instead, it became something far more sinister.

When Oschwald died in 1873, houses shook across town simultaneously. His body never decomposed for 53 years. For over 150 years, Saint Nazianz has been plagued by supernatural reports including the abandoned JFK Prep School that investigators call one of Wisconsin’s most haunted locations.

Join me as we explore documented history, witness testimonies, and the ongoing mystery of whether this former religious colony remains cursed.

Ep. 5 Flight 401: The Tragedy That Still Haunts the Skies09 Jun 202500:31:18

Share your thoughts or send a request

On December 29, 1972, Eastern Air Lines Flight 401 crashed into the Florida Everglades, killing 101 people in one of aviation's most tragic accidents. But the Flight 401 crash was just the beginning of this true ghost story. When Eastern Air Lines salvaged parts from the Flight 401 wreckage and installed them in other aircraft, airline employees began reporting something impossible – real ghost encounters with the dead crew members aboard other flights.

In this paranormal podcast episode, we dive deep into one of the most well-documented hauntings in American history. From Captain Robert Loft ghost sightings appearing in first class to Flight Engineer Don Repo's apparition staring out of overhead bins, these weren't vague supernatural experiences but detailed encounters with apparently solid spirits who continued trying to protect passengers even after death. Despite Eastern Air Lines' threats to fire employees who spoke about the Flight 401 ghost sightings, the paranormal reports persisted for 18 months until the airline quietly removed all salvaged aircraft parts from their fleet – and the aviation ghost sightings stopped.

Join Creepy Shit Podcast for this chilling tale of aviation tragedy, corporate cover-ups, and protective spirits who refused to abandon their posts. This true haunting story explores documented paranormal activity, ghost encounters on airplanes, and one of aviation's most mysterious supernatural cases. Perfect for fans of true ghost stories, aviation mysteries, paranormal investigations, and real haunting experiences.

Topics covered: Eastern Air Lines Flight 401 crash, Flight 401 ghosts, aviation paranormal activity, airline ghost stories, Captain Robert Loft ghost, Don Repo spirit encounters, aircraft salvage hauntings, corporate paranormal cover-ups, Everglades plane crash, documented ghost sightings, true haunting stories, aviation supernatural phenomena.

Ep. 4 Hair Raising Encounters: Haunted Hair Salons02 Jun 202500:33:47

Share your thoughts or send a request

Today on Creepy Shit Podcast, we are exploring haunted salons – real haunted salons, and as an actual hairstylist of nearly 20 years, this episode is going to make you think twice about who could be standing behind you during your next salon visit.

We investigate two documented cases of paranormal activity in active beauty salons. First, the historic Dorris House in Grapevine, Texas, where salon owner Lauren Jackson experiences bottles of red nail polish mysteriously flying off shelves and lights turning on by themselves. Then we visit Jazz Hair Salon in South Shields, England, where owner Sheena Carmichael deals with unplugged dryers spinning on their own and a disembodied voice telling customers to "get out."

I'll share my own unexplained encounter from two decades behind the chair, plus explore why beauty salons seem particularly prone to ghostly activity. These aren't just ghost stories - they're documented experiences from professional businesswomen willing to risk their reputations by speaking about the unexplainable.

**Content Warning:** This episode contains some explicit language and descriptions of potentially unsettling paranormal activity.

Ep. 2 Human Statues: When Your Brain Betrays You19 May 202500:16:04

*Fair warning: this episode contains disturbing medical content that may affect your sleep. You've been warned!

What would you do if your body stopped obeying your mind? If you could think, feel, and see everything around you—but couldn't move a single muscle to show the world you were still in there?

Between 1917 and 1928, a mysterious epidemic swept the globe, leaving millions of people locked inside their own bodies. The medical community had never seen anything like it. They still haven't.

This week, I'm diving into one of the most terrifying medical mysteries in history—a disease that made people question everything they thought they knew about consciousness and free will. We'll explore cases that sound like something out of a nightmare, and discover why some experts believe this nightmare could be far from over.

Think you can handle knowing what it's like to be completely aware but utterly helpless? Think you want to understand what happens when your brain declares war on your body?

Press play if you dare. But don't say I didn't warn you.

Ep. 1 Shadows in the Glass: Uncovering the Truth at Myrtles Plantation05 May 202500:36:01

Share your thoughts or send a request

Ever stare into an old mirror and wonder what the hell it's seen before you came along? At Louisiana's Myrtles Plantation, the mirrors don't just reflect—they remember.

In this premiere episode, I'm diving into America's allegedly "most haunted home" where handprints appear on mirrors no matter how many times they're cleaned, ghostly figures show up in photographs, and visitors report being watched by something that definitely isn't on the tour.

But here's where shit gets interesting: the famous ghost stories they tell tourists? Mostly bullshit. The ACTUAL history and unexplained phenomena? Way creepier than the made-up stuff.

Join me as I separate haunted fact from fiction, explore the cultural folklore behind Southern hauntings, and figure out why some places just feel wrong, even when you're standing in broad daylight with twenty other people.

Welcome to Creepy Shit, where sometimes the strangest stories are the true ones.

Ep. 14 Terrible Tilly: The Deadliest Lighthouse in America11 Aug 202500:46:25

Share your thoughts or send a request

You guys, I cannot believe I haven’t told you about Terrible Tilly yet. This lighthouse off the Oregon coast is absolutely insane - and I mean that in the most terrifying way possible. We’re talking about Tillamook Rock Lighthouse, but everyone calls it Terrible Tilly because, honestly, what else would you call a place that’s basically a death trap perched on a rock in the middle of the Pacific Ocean?

So picture this: it’s 1879, and someone thought it would be a brilliant idea to build a lighthouse on this tiny, wave-battered rock that’s constantly getting demolished by 100-foot waves. The construction alone killed multiple people, and that was just the beginning. The lighthouse keepers who got stationed there? Let’s just say their job description should have included “must be okay with potential death by giant wave or complete mental breakdown.”

I’m talking about keepers getting swept into the ocean, supply boats that couldn’t even reach the rock for months at a time, and storms so intense that waves would crash over the entire 130-foot structure. These guys were literally trapped on a rock with no way off, watching the ocean try to kill them every single day. And the stories of what happened to some of these keepers… honestly, you’re going to need to hear this.

Trust me, after this episode, you’ll understand why Terrible Tilly earned its nickname and why it’s considered one of the most haunted and dangerous lighthouses in America. This is lighthouse horror at its absolute finest.

Ep. 13 The Great Peshtigo Fire: Echoes from the Ash04 Aug 202500:53:08

Share your thoughts or send a request

On the same night as the Great Chicago Fire, a deadlier inferno consumed the town of Peshtigo, Wisconsin, killing over 1,200 people in what remains America’s most devastating wildfire. But the tragedy didn’t end when the flames died out. For over 150 years, residents and visitors have reported phantom fires in the woods, voices warning of danger, and spirits still searching for loved ones they lost in the chaos.

Join us as we explore the documented paranormal phenomena surrounding the Great Peshtigo Fire of 1871. From cemetery apparitions and museum hauntings to helpful spirits guiding lost travelers to safety, this Wisconsin tragedy seems to have left a permanent psychic imprint on the landscape. We’ll dig into historical accounts, modern investigations, and eyewitness reports that suggest some loves are too strong to be extinguished by death.

This isn’t just another ghost story - it’s a deep dive into how extreme trauma can burn itself into a place so deeply that it becomes part of the environment itself. Whether you’re a believer or a skeptic, the consistency of reports spanning decades will make you question what you think you know about life, death, and the power of human connection.

Share your thoughts or send a request

Join us for a deep dive into Hyde Hall, the massive 22,000 square foot mansion in upstate New York that might just be America’s most haunted location. Built over 17 years by the ambitious George Clarke IV, this neoclassical masterpiece was once the largest private home in America - and it’s been scaring the shit out of people for over 200 years.

From the mysterious family curse that supposedly doomed all women who lived there, to the 2013 Ghost Hunters investigation that captured some of their most compelling evidence ever, Hyde Hall has it all. We’ll explore the Clarke family’s rise and fall, the mansion’s near-demolition in the 1960s, and the documented paranormal activity that includes full-body apparitions, responsive phenomena, and infrared camera evidence that still can’t be explained.

Whether you’re a believer or a skeptic, the sheer volume of documented paranormal reports from this architectural wonder will leave you questioning what’s really happening in those 50 rooms overlooking Otsego Lake.

Ep.11 Asylum Point Park: Whispers from Lake Winnebago21 Jul 202500:27:34

Share your thoughts or send a request

We are visiting our First Asylum on the show today - On the tranquil shores of Lake Winnebago, families picnic and anglers cast their lines into peaceful waters. But beneath the serene surface of Asylum Point Park lies one of Wisconsin’s darkest chapters—a story of institutional failure, forgotten graves, and spirits that refuse to rest.

Join us as we explore the haunting history of the Northern Asylum for the Insane, which opened its doors in 1873 and became home to some of Wisconsin’s most troubled souls. From the attempted assassin of Theodore Roosevelt to the hundreds of unnamed patients buried in unmarked graves hidden in the woods, this is a place where tragedy and the unexplained intertwine.

We’ll dive into documented paranormal encounters, including reports of a spirit named Rufus who still roams Sherman Hall, and examine the scandals that rocked the institution—including the 1934 death that triggered a legislative investigation and led to 30 dismissals. But this isn’t just another abandoned asylum story. Unlike most institutions of its era, Winnebago Mental Health Institute never closed its doors, evolving from a place of suffering into a modern treatment facility that courageously displays its dark past.

Is Asylum Point truly haunted, or does the weight of historical trauma simply leave an imprint that sensitive souls can feel? We’ll explore the evidence and let you decide.

*Content Note: This episode deals with historical mental health treatment practices and institutional abuse. While approached respectfully, listener discretion is advised.*

What happens when a trusted family funeral home becomes a house of horrors? In this episode, we dive deep into the shocking true story of Pasadena’s Lamb Funeral Home and the criminal empire built by David Sconce in the 1980s. From mass cremations cramming dozens of bodies into single ovens to black market organ harvesting and gold tooth theft, this respected funeral home hid crimes that would make your worst nightmares seem tame.

But here’s the kicker – with tens of thousands of bodies desecrated and families betrayed in their most vulnerable moments, paranormal investigators believe the spiritual fallout is still lingering. Are the restless dead still seeking justice at the former Lamb Funeral Home? We explore the documented crimes, the ongoing paranormal claims, and why this case represents one of the most disturbing betrayals of trust in American funeral industry history.

Ep. 8 Hidden Tunnels & Ghostly Whispers: The Octagon House30 Jun 202500:30:39

Share your thoughts or send a request

Deep in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin sits an eight-sided house with nine secret passages, underground tunnels, and 160+ years of documented paranormal activity. Built in 1856 by the town’s first mayor as protection against Native American attacks, the Octagon House quickly became a stop on the Underground Railroad—and apparently a permanent home for the spirits of the Brown family who lived there.

From spinning wheels mysteriously disassembling themselves to glowing eyes in the basement tunnels, this isn’t your typical ghost story.

Featured as the second-most haunted house in Wisconsin on the History Channel, the Octagon House represents something darker about human nature—the lengths we’ll go to feel safe, and how trauma leaves permanent marks on the places where it happened.

**Content Warning:** Discussion of slavery, Civil War deaths, and supernatural encounters.

Ep. 15 Hoia Bacciu Forest: Romania’s Portal to Hell18 Aug 202500:33:54

Share your thoughts or send a request

Alright Creepy Crew, buckle up for this one.

We’re diving deep into Romania’s most F'd-up forest - a place where trees grow in impossible spirals, time itself gets twisted, and a five-year-old girl disappeared for five years only to return completely unchanged.

From the shepherd who vanished with 200 sheep (and was never found) to the 1968 UFO photos that ruined a man’s life, the Hoia-Baciu Forest is paranormal activity on steroids.

We’ll explore the mysterious circular clearing where nothing grows, the scientists who can’t explain what they’re finding, and why locals have been avoiding this place for centuries. Plus, I’ll tell you exactly why I think this forest might actually be alive - and hunting, not haunting.

Fair warning: this episode will make you question everything you thought you knew about reality.

Ep.16 Hanging By A Thread: Island of the Dolls25 Aug 202500:53:16

Share your thoughts or send a request

Get Ready, Creepy Crew - this week we're diving into Mexico's Island of the Dolls, and I gotta tell you, this place is genuinely fucked up in the best possible way. We're talking about a tiny island in Xochimilco where one man spent 50 years hanging thousands of rotting dolls from trees to honor a drowned girl's spirit. Don Julián Santana found a dead child in the canals back in the 1950s, and what started as a simple memorial became a decades-long obsession that created one of the world's most genuinely haunted locations.

This isn't your typical tourist trap ghost story - we've got consistent paranormal reports spanning decades, dolls that move on their own, whispers of dead children, and electronic equipment that goes haywire for no reason. Plus, Julián himself died in the exact same spot where he found that first girl's body 50 years later. Coincidence? I don't fucking think so.

If you're into true hauntings, Mexican folklore, or just want to hear about a place that'll make your skin crawl, this episode is for you. Fair warning though - after hearing this story, you might never look at dolls the same way again.

Ep. 19 Bones VooDoo & Bad JuJu: Marie Laveau's Creepy St Louis Cemetery15 Sep 202500:47:03

Share your thoughts or send a request

Holy Sh--, you guys - this week we’re diving into St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 in New Orleans, and I’m not even kidding when I say this place will mess with your head. We’re talking about America’s most haunted graveyard, home to the legendary Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau and literally hundreds of restless spirits who apparently missed the memo about staying dead.

I’m breaking down the wild history of this above-ground city of the dead - from why they had to build tombs instead of graves (spoiler: floating coffins are a real problem) to the fascinating life and afterlife of Marie Laveau, who’s been spotted wandering these marble corridors for over 140 years since her death. Plus, I’m sharing some absolutely spine-chilling documented encounters from tour guides, paranormal investigators, and regular people who’ve had their worldview completely shattered by what they experienced in those narrow pathways.

Whether you’re a true believer like me or a skeptic who thinks there’s a rational explanation for everything, these stories will have you questioning what you think you know about life, death, and what might exist in between. Trust me, after this episode, you’ll never look at cemeteries the same way again.

Ep. 18 Turnbull Canyon Exposed: Real Horror & Miracle Survivor08 Sep 202500:51:52

Share your thoughts or send a request

Alright Creepy Crew, This episode is DARK, (See Trigger Warning Below) Turnbull Canyon in California is genuinely disturbing. And I'm thoroughly convinced it’s actively hunting people, not haunting.

We’re talking 30+ documented deaths since the 1950s. People having dreams about a canyon they’ve never heard of, then driving hundreds of miles to die there. Cult activity in the 60s-80s with animal sacrifices and occult ceremonies that might have cursed the place. Cars breaking down at impossible rates, electronics going haywire, phantom apparitions, and temperature drops that defy science.

This isn’t your typical ghost story - this place is a predator. From the woman in white on the bridges to YouTube investigations gone wrong, Turnbull Canyon is actively calling people to their deaths.

And the light at the end of the tunnel? Is the incredible Survival Story of a Young Woman.

TRIGGER WARNING!!  - This episode is not recommended for minors, this episode contains discussions including assault and murder of humans and animals & some of the content may be disturbing. Please Listen with Care.

So come on, strange and unusual friends. Let's explore the unexplained together. New episodes weekly – for those who know the night has always held more truth than the day.
