Ep 271 Teza (TeZATalks)11 Sep 202401:34:15

Our guest this episode is Teza of TeZATalks, a Seattle/Tacoma-based singer, self-described as hardcore pop. Seeing Teza perform at SMASH and again for Sonic Guild's award ceremony was amazing and I've been looking forward to this opportunity to learn a bit more about her and share it with you all. TeZATalks new album, Black Girl American Horror Story, will be out in Fall '24 and promises to take Teza to the next level and I recommend keeping her on your radar to catch any live performances she may make in your area. You won't want to miss it!

Ep 262 Tim DiJulio (Lazy Susan/Duff McKagan/Stereo Embers)17 Apr 202401:32:05

Tim DiJulio has been a fixture on the Seattle rock 'n roll scene for decades and leads the charge on many guitar-fueled nights in local clubs. Tim was a member of the first band I saw perform in a club in Seattle in 1993 and I've always looked up to him so it was a great pleasure to host him on this episode of the Couch Riffs Podcast. Most recently, Tim and I have become bandmates playing together in Duff McKagan's solo band in support of his newest album, Lighthouse, which Tim tracked many of the guitars for. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed this time shared with Tim.

Ep. 170 Matt Muckle (Paul Gilber/John Waite)03 May 202101:41:03

We are pleased to have Matt Muckle as our guest this episode, our most recent for Drummer Awareness Month. Matt thoroughly impressed me when he delivered his drums for our video performance of When Will I Be Loved (feat. Charlie Starr, Keith Nelson and Jeff Rouse). I immediately started following him on socials and watching with much delight as I revealed more and more depth to his playing, nailing every feel and groove with conviction and convincingly. We dive right into how he's able to do that in this conversation and barely come up for air. This one flew by! I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Ep 259 Kristian Dunn (El Ten Eleven)12 Jun 202301:51:18

Our guest this episode is Kristian Dunn, one-half of the instrumental rock band, El Ten Eleven. We cover Kristian's young musical life, his influences, love of sci-fi and writing as well as plenty of El Ten Eleven history. I met Kristian and Tim (El Ten Eleven) on tour last year and got to enjoy their music almost nightly and I can't recommend enough to see them. There is so much music coming off of the stage from two musicians with no pre-recorded loops. Be sure to check them out when they tour next for an upcoming release this Fall and go out and support independent music by buying theirs where ever you like to buy music, downloads or vinyl at the record store! I hope you enjoy this episode.

Ep. 133 Jeff Rouse (Loaded/The Gemini Affair)09 Dec 202002:10:03

I've played more shows with Jeff Rouse than with any other band member or person I know. We've created a bond of over 20 years and never had a single fight. Can you even imagine that? I'm not sure how he hasn't fired me as a friend over the years, but he hasn't. We played in Alien Crime Syndicate and Loaded for years of touring all over the world and I can't image having had any of those experiences with any other person. Jeff has a band called The Gemini Affair with 2 releases coming in the next month or so, a 7" single on Mike McCready's Hockey Talkter label and an EP coming later. Look for these new releases which are Rouse to the core: hook-laden, goth-tinged rock music with great production and a dynamite band.

Peter walks us through his history as a singer from his earliest days as a karaoke star to touring and single parenting as a working musician. Crashing Wayward release their debut album, Listen, on June 9 2023.
