Where do I start?
Though not required, commanders and supervisors should be your first stop when you have a complaint. Complaints resolution is an inherent part of a commander’s or supervisor's responsibility. However, if they can’t help, or if they are at the root of the complaint, contact the IG.  If you are unsure about what to do, give me a call and we can discuss your options.

As an Air Force member, you have a right to:

  • File an IG complaint at any level without going through your supervisory channel
  • Address your complaint to any IG... though it may be transferred to the nearest IG
  • File a complaint with an IG without fear of reprisal
  • Request withdrawal of your IG complaint in writing…IG may still examine the issues and treat as a third-party
  • Request the next higher-level IG review your complaint within 90 days of receiving the IG response
  • Submit complaints anonymously
  • Submit a complaint on behalf of another individual
  • Request whistle blower protection under 10 U.S.C. 1034

How do I file a complaint?
