Ooooooohhhh! Aaaaaarrrgggghhh! Yes, it's spooky season so we're taking a little look at much-loved (by Nick) and much missed (still by Nick) but sadly short-lived 80s UK horror comic Scream!

Cowabunga, CAMHPers! Colin and Nick are still trying to be in the same place at the same time to record an episode so it's another in Nick's mini solo series where he asks a question as a sort of rhetorical device to let him witter on for a bit and, this week, it's the turn of those heroes in the half shell - the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So grab a slice of pizza and avoid the use of nunchuks for this week's episode....

Catastrophe! Due to technical failure, the planned episode with Colin and Nick talking about Bishop is unsalvageable. Never fear, however, for Colin has stepped into the breach to do a whistlestop one-man recreation of that very episode for your listening pleasure. So here is not-quite-but-almost the lost episode - enjoy!

NOTE:- We'll be dropping down to a fortnightly schedule for the time being as life is very much interrupting the regular weekly schedule at the moment and we want to make sure you're still getting some comic-y goodness from us

Catastrophe (and not just for the unsuspecting inhabitants of Tokyo)! Technical difficulties unfortunately stomped on this week's planned 90s X-Men themed episode so instead, we have an emergency broadcast in which our very own Nick Krik asks the question:- is Godzilla part of the Marvel universe? There's only one way to find out...

Join Colin and Nick as they emerge fresh from the cinema (and, in Nick's case with a badge and some free socks) to chat about the latest MCU film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and we'll be asking the big question:- who enjoyed it and who didn't? (We start off spoiler-free but it does get spoilery around the half hour. mark...)

Tune in to the first part of this Spidey two-parter and come back next week when we finally take a look at some of Peter Parker's greatest moments and put the web-slinging wall-crawler himself in the list at long last!

It's the second part of Colin and Nick's look at the wonderful(?) world of 90s X-Force when everyone had guns and muscles and even the guns had muscles too (with smaller guns on them). They'll be asking the important questions like:- just exactly how does Gideon's hair work? How easy is it to create their own version of X-Force with classic characters like Rockhead and The Stoat? And how many attempts does it take to say goodbye at the end of a podcast?

On this week's episode, Colin and Nick are back into the world of X-Men '97 as they're both loving Season 2 which means it's time to take a look at (yeesh) X-Force and ask the important questions:- can Rob Liefeld draw feet? Who thought a man that shoots his hands was going to be the next big thing? And why can't X-Force be cxool like in the cartoon all the time

They'll also be adding to the A-Bomb To zzzax Marvel character list with a look at some of Marvel's weirdest cosmic types and asking the questions:- do we need an alternate universe Hulk version of Mister Fantastic? It's part one of a two spectacular as Colin and Nick dive into the world of the many (and slightly confusing) versions of Supergirl in honour of the new film being released. Why is one of them a ball of pink protoplasm? Is it icky that she starts dating a parallel universe version of her "father"? And who has enough lead to coat an asteroid knocking around in their shed?

As well as the superchat, Colin and Nick chat about what they've been reading recently, namely classic Hellblazer and New 52 Animal Man.

Colin and Nick are back once again with the nerd behaviour to chat about season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again (but only because Nick hasn't watched season 2 yet) and take a look at some of his weirdest villains. What is Gladiator's business model? Why does Mister Fear want to bring waxworks to life? And has no one thought of pushing both of Stilt Man's legs at the same time to make him fall over?

Away from the world of Marvel, the chaps have been immersing themselves in some classic 90s Bat action, namely Nightwing and Alan Grant's Shadow Of The Bat

BATROC, WHIRLWIND, LIVING LASER, ZARAN, MACHETE

Bonjour, mes amis! BATTERING RAM, ANARCHIST, ORPHAN, BLOKE, DOOP, DEAD GIRL, U GO GIRL, LA NUIT, VIVISECTOR, VENUS DEE MILO

Look, up in the sky... oh no, hang on, that's someone else. Bastion, Sentinels, Master Mold, Bolivar Trask

Look out, the machines are taking over! In what feels like a very timely episode, Colin and Nick take a look at the man-made machines menacing the mutants of the Marvel universe (yeah, maybe all this Stan and Jack has been rubbing off on us, alliteratively speaking). Are the Sentinels a terrifying look at the future of robotics or another 60s misunderstanding of how robots work? Is it OK to just do the Iron Giant but with a sentinel? What is a Siege Perilous? Colin and Nick are still taking a little post-festive break so, to tide you over in the meantime, here's a little taster of some of the bonus content that we're putting out on the Patreon in a frankly shameless attempt to encourage new subscribers (boo, capitalism!). We talk a little bit about the Zombie, Simon Garth, and the Marvel universe's version of Frankenstein's Monster (both covered way back in Season 1 episode 19, fact fans!)

Enjoy and we'll be back with full episodes from next week!

OMEGA THE UNKNOWN AND DOCTOR BONG!

For no real reason Colin and Nick discuss the work of late Steve Gerber, creator of the much beloved 70s comedy comic character Howard the Duck. But is he actually funny?? Or is it just a bit weird and depressing? Finally we disagree on something. Sparks fly and things get pretty bloody heated! That said we both adore Doctor Bong and are deeply confused by Omega the Unknown

Best buds Colin and Nick are back reviewing every Marvel Character with an Ironheart special. They've seen about 1.5 eps of the new series and...it's fine. But who is Ironheart? Has she captured our shrivelled middle aged man hearts? And before that: who is the real Tony Stark? Did he ever soil his iron suit? Does he listen to Eric Clapton and Chris Rea? Is Iron Monger the maddest baddest of them all?

It's a fun episode although Colin is in a hotel designed to make it impossible for a human to comfortably reach the desk from his bed and it shows!

Our little run of special guests continues as Nick welcomes comedian Colleen Cheetham-Gerrard (previously a Marvel correspondent herself) to take a look at the many people who have also proved worthy of hefting a mystical hammer and taking up the mantle of the God of Thunder Thor, namely the most famous of the alternates Jane Foster (of course), as well Beta Ray Bill, Thunderstrike and probably the greatest of them all, Dargo Ktor (no, us neither). Is that horse-faced alien really just called Bill? Who is desperate for Thunderstrike to be a thing? And why does Odin keep churning out knock-off Mjolnirs for anyone that fancies being a Thor? Join us and find out!

Everything you need to know about Alpha Flight! (Well, half of them anyway...)

Nick and special guest David Ferguson (of Believe? The Myths And Conspiracies Pod) are trekking back to the 80s to take a deep dive into Canada's premier (only?) super hero team, Alpha Flight. Will they fare any better than the last time they were talked about on the pod? Did Civil War usher in the basic loss of clearcut heroism in the Marvel universe?
