There have been many tough dudes who've donned the crest of the New West Bruins yet none put up a single-season PIM total higher than Steve Jaques. BTW-remember that stickfight between the Tri-City Americans & the Seattle T-Birds fans? Steve was there. The former Kings draft pick became an IHL mainstayin the 90's providing a physical presence on the blueline for multiple teams, including the Salt Lake Golden Eagles who in 1993-94 were the primary minor league affiliate for the New York Islanders This is part two. Thanks for tuning in everybody! Today I welcome Brandon DeFazio to the Penalty Box. My paesano played one season in the Islanders organization, spending 2012-13 in Bridgeport. DeFazio annually put up solid numbers & was one of the premier power-forwards during his AHL tenure, earning him time in "the Show" with Vancouver. The second part of his career is something I call the "Brandon DeFazio World Tour". If you're looking for inspiration, look no further as this is the story of a player who was never drafted into the OHL, never drafted into the NHL but worked his ass off & achieved his ultimate goal.
