In 1973, Jim Krag spent time with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, learning to teach Transcendental Meditation, then returned to university training in 1980 and became a medical doctor in 1986. He completed his psychiatry training in 1990 at University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, where he still lives.
