This episode of Climate Pulse introduces us to Yangchen Dolkar, and her journey from Nepal's storied Upper Mustang region to the United States for education, her return to Nepal, and her work with the Jigme Foundation focusing on sustainable development, cultural preservation, climate change and health and wellbeing in Upper Mustang.

In this episode, we discuss how climate disruption is impacting non-communicable diseases, injuries and how the health system inadvertently contributes to the problem. Drew Shindell is the Nicholas Professor of Earth Science at Duke University where he studies climate change, air quality, and links between science and policy, and Dr Fintan Hughes is an Anesthesiology resident at Duke and has been advocating for the need for the healthcare system to pay closer attention to global climate disruption.
