Paying out millions of pounds a day to house illegal migrants in hotels is an "absolute disgrace", one of the Labour party's rising star MPs has told GB News.

Chris Curtis, elected MP for Milton Keynes North in July's general election, said that he found it "offensive" that public money was being used to keep illegal arrivals in hotels.

Earlier this week, it emerged that the Government was continuing to house asylum seekers in hotels despite Labour’s manifesto pledge to end the practice which costs £7million a day.

Curtis told Chopper’s political podcast this week regarding the previous administration that there was “a massive black hole that lurks in the economy” and he added that “the most offensive one is hotel bills”.

He said: "We're taking hard earned taxpayers money out of their pockets. It's an absolute disgrace. We need to be shutting down those hotel bills. But you can't do that with a ridiculous Rwanda gimmick."

Brexit was a "great move" by the British people and Labour should "embrace" the opportunity of working with President-elect Donald Trump, a senior Labour peer has told GB News.

Sir Keir Starmer will next year try to reverse Brexit "stealthily", according to former Conservative Attorney General Sir Geoffrey Cox.

Cox told today's Chopper's Political Podcast he had been worried that the Brexit he helped to negotiate when he was in the Conservative government was "under threat".

He said: "I've been saying so for a very long time, that the instinct of Keir Starmer will be to reverse Brexit, but it won't be done openly, it'll be done by stealth, it'll be done gradually."

Elon Musk - the world's richest man - will donate some money to Nigel Farage's Reform UK party, one of Farage's key allies has said.

There is speculation that Musk could be about to donate after Farage appointed property billionaire Nick Candy as his party's treasurer.

Asked if Musk will donate Banks told GB News' Chopper's Political Podcast: "I'm sure he will do but not to the extent of £100 million, I don't think. No."

He added: "Dollars, pounds .... there's still a lot of money but I suppose he's got UK companies and that's traditionally it's acceptable to donate through that. Let's see what happens."

A Conservative MP who has spent years trying to expose the rape gangs scandal says that more than 50 towns have been affected.

Robbie Moore, the MP for Keighley and Ilkley, has made dozens of interventions in the Commons to try to expose the plight of young white children being groomed or raped by predominantly Pakistani men.

Research based on court documents by GB News suggests that 50 towns could be affected, more than the six examined in the official review in child sexual exploitation by Baroness Jay review in 2022.

But in an interview with Chopper's Political Podcast, Moore said that he "would not be surprised" if more than 50 towns were affected.

Home Office's Prevent programme should be "improved" not scrapped, says former Security minister Tom Tugendhat as Axel Rudakubana was jailed for 13 life terms for attacking and killing children in Southport last year.

The Government has started a review of the Prevent programme after it emerged Rudakubana was referred to Prevent three times between 2019 and 2021, yet went on to commit his bloody murders in July last year.

The Conservatives and Reform UK are 70 per cent likely to merge or agree an electoral pact before the next general election, the most senior Conservative MP has said.

Father of the House, Sir Edward Leigh said that that if the Conservative Party don't come up with firm immigration policy, they will be "slaughtered" at the May local elections.

The former Conservative Cabinet minister also said that he considered Donald Trump's arrival in the White House to have been "a good thing" having backed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris at the presidential election.

One of the Labour party's rising star MPs has told how he would not have joined the Labour party when Jeremy Corbyn was leader because of concerns that it was no longer patriotic.

Mike Tapp, the Labour MP for Dover and Deal since last July, told GB News' Chopper's Political Podcast: I would not have stood under Jeremy Corbyn. I've made that really clear. 

"He's not a Labour MP now and we love the flag and we're very patriotic. And I think you've got to love the country to serve it."

A rural Labour MP has broken ranks with Sir Keir Starmer to demand the Prime Minister takes urgent action on the controversial inheritance tax raid on British farmers.

Henry Tufnell is one of three Labour MPs to have called for the Prime Minister to rethink plans to force more farms to pay 20 per cent inheritance tax on estates worth over £1million.

Tufnell, who was elected as the Labour MP for Mid & South Pembrokeshire last July, told today's Chopper's Political podcast that having a rethink on the plans is a "a fantastic opportunity for Labour, who've won a huge amount of rural seats, to come in and reset that relationship".
