Baddies & Foids29 Jul 202601:04:27

In this solo episode of the Check Your Brain podcast, host Tony Mazur delves into some of the political and cultural issues that have set up a seemingly immovable partition among the sexes. From being girl bosses to embarrassing one’s spouse on TikTok over trivial complaints, to divorcing a husband because he wants to relax after work, one can see why younger men have opted out of the dating market.

Why Are Millennials Obsessed with ‘90s Nostalgia? Is It Harmless or Cope?22 Jul 202600:55:46

In this solo edition of the Check Your Brain podcast, host Tony Mazur delves into one of the biggest soft spots for Millennials: nostalgia for the 1990s. Were those days great that they want to relive them? Is it because popular culture is lame today? Or is this all a trauma response?

John Kerezy - Colbert's Exit, Rise in AI & Jesse Owens the American Hero27 May 202601:10:37

This week on the Check Your Brain podcast, Tony Mazur is joined by John Kerezy, a retiring associate professor at Cuyahoga Community College. In his second appearance on the show, John and Tony talked about the changing of consumer habits when it comes to mass media, specifically the dwindling relevance of late night comedy shows. They also touch on AI's use in media and the backlash it is already having from Generation Z, along with John's continued research on famous Ohioan and Olympian Jesse Owens.

We Are So Back06 Nov 202401:19:11

The 45th President of the United States will now identify as the 47th President come January, as Donald Trump handedly defeated Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. Tony Mazur gives his raw reaction to the win, and he showcased the meltdowns on MSNBC, CNN, The Young Turks, and The Daily Show. Tony's biggest takeaway: after more than nine years, the progressives still have not learned how to stump the Trump.

If He Wins Again...30 Oct 202401:12:44

Tony Mazur is no political expert, no pollster, no prognosticator; just a former radio guy who does podcasts these days. But he does lay out what could happen if indeed Donald Trump wins a non-consecutive term, which may include more lunacy from progressives either screaming at the sky, checking into psychiatrists or rehabs, or perhaps getting violent.

No One Likes Mitt Romney23 Oct 202401:06:46

The political realignment continues, as Dick and Liz Cheney are voting for Kamala Harris, while RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard are on Team Trump. Mitt Romney hasn't actually endorsed Harris, but his TDS won't allow him to pull the lever for the Orange Man. Which begs the question: other than his large immediate family, who on the political spectrum actually likes Romney? Tony Mazur touches on that, as well as the Democrat Party panicking over losing men, and what happened to old white people phrases like "I don't give a rat's ass?"

Another Round of Stupid White Guy Commercials16 Oct 202400:43:50

It's been nearly two years since Tony Mazur dedicated a round of stupid white guy commercials on his Check Your Brain podcast, but here he is ahead of the 2024 election. Are these ads made to be silly, or is there something sinister going on? Is this a way to make men (mainly white men) out to be ridiculous, inconsiderate, and unaware morons, or is Tony making a mountain out of a molehill?

Declaration of Zyndependence09 Oct 202401:03:31

All across the globe, there are efforts to ban smoking, flavored tobacco, and nicotine pouches such as Zyn. Yet those same entities seem to look the other way when it comes to vaping, marijuana use, and fast food intake. Check Your Brain's Tony Mazur talks about the war on tobacco and nicotine usage, why it's fairly classist in nature, and how Big Tobacco quietly became Big Food in the 1980s. Later in the podcast, he chats with long-time Patreon supporter Lance about his use of Zyn.

Oakland Aweigh's02 Oct 202401:00:06

The Athletics have joined the Raiders and the Golden State Warriors in leaving the city of Oakland since 2019. Rather than blaming corporate greed, Tony Mazur goes into why it's the best business decision to leave Oakland, and not just the sports teams. Oakland doesn't deserve big businesses due to rampant crime and DAs/politicians looking the other way and letting it all happen.

Foreign Substances18 Sep 202401:19:24

In this week's free episode of Check Your Brain, Ohio podcaster Tony Mazur covers what he believes to be a purposeful invasion of Haitians into towns such as Springfield, and how most do not assimilate to American cultures. Is this what's called "Great Replacement"? Doesn't seem so great for Heritage Americans.

Tony also covered another potential assassination attempt of Donald Trump over the weekend, JD Vance giving a master class in media takedowns, and how to deal with feds questioning one about social media posts.

Where Have the Men Gone?20 May 202600:53:23

In yet another free solo episode of the Check Your Brain podcast, Tony Mazur (along with ZeroHedge) asks the question, where have the men gone? 2024 NFL Preview with Ken Mosca04 Sep 202401:15:01

Tony Mazur is the host of the Check Your Brain podcast, and this week he welcomes his friend and former football show co-host Ken Mosca to preview the upcoming NFL season. They largely agree on the division winners, and in typical Ken and Tony fashion, they ride the wayback machine and discuss quarterbacks, teams, and broadcast booth analysts of the past. Lectured By The Death Cult28 Aug 202400:18:18

In a much shorter episode than normal, Check Your Brain podcast host Tony Mazur covers a recent story about Gus Walz, the neurodivergent son of Minnesota governor and Kamala Harris VP pick Tim Walz. Tony's take is that it's not smart or humane to mock his son, but he'll be damned if he's lectured to a group of people who would have aborted Gus if his disease was detected in the womb.

Karens For Kamala31 Jul 202400:48:37

On this week's Check Your Brain podcast, Tony Mazur covers the latest rise of Kamala Harris, which is not by any means a grassroots effort. The push to either ignore or erase her past comments or idiosyncrasies is at a fever pitch, and no more is this prevalent as the white women for Kamala Zoom conference.

Joe Biden has decided to step away from the presidential race in 2024 and serve out the rest of his term. Check Your Brain's Tony Mazur talks about this decision, how Biden's mental and physical prowess has diminished in the last decade, and if this was more of a Democrat Party coup than a family decision.

Tony also gets the listeners/viewers excited for a Kamala Harris run with her classic quotes and mannerisms.

Accountability Culture, Bro!17 Jul 202401:18:52

For the last decade, leftists have said "cancel culture isn't a thing, but if it was, it's good," or "it's not cancel culture, it's accountability culture." After the near-assassination attempt of Donald Trump over the weekend, progressives everywhere are sitting in HR offices and being told to pack their belongings over troubling social media posts. Tony Mazur says it's time for non-leftists to stop taking the high road and get wishing for the shooting death of a political figure a taste of their own medicine.

Tony also touches on how it is a mainstream belief that Trump staged this attack, and that it would be a net good if the shooter finished the job. Joe Scarborough and Joe Biden still accept no responsibility for what occurred over their dangerous rhetoric, and progressives are back to calling him Hitler and an existential threat.

Bonus Episode - Trump Survives Assassination Attempt14 Jul 202401:20:33

There was an assassination attempt on the life of Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States, over the weekend at a Pennsylvania rally. In today's podcast, I cover the immediate fallout in the 24 hours since the rally, from the media admonishing a wounded Trump for not "turning down the temperature" with political rhetoric to who actually raised the temperature in the first place. I also discuss why it's a pretty mainstream belief on the left that this event was either staged or us being an inch from preserving our sacred democracy.

And Boom Goes the DEI-namite10 Jul 202400:58:29

In this episode, Tony Mazur delves into the best and worst sports announcers from the past and present. What makes for a good announcer? Tony believes it to be someone who lets the picture tell the story, one who makes even the most boring contests sound like the Super Bowl, yet not making the moments about themselves. Some do it well like Vin Scully, and others do a poor job, specifically the new Oakland Athletics play-by-play person.

The Music Industry's Slow & Painful Demise13 May 202600:58:47

Prior to Napster and LimeWire, the music industry seemed to be a cash cow. Everyone wanted in. But in the world of streaming, artists are making literal pennies on the dollar. Some bands will need tens of thousands of listens and likes to make a paycheck. The music industry is broken, which is why Bruce Springsteen and the Red Hot Chili Peppers have cashed in their chips and sold their music catalogue.

In this solo episode of the Check Your Brain podcast, Tony Mazur analyzes the issues in modern music. He plays interviews from Rick Beato and Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan who said rock 'n' roll was systematically destroyed three decades ago, and the only way one makes it in the music industry is if they have rich parents subsidizing their kids' vanity project. He also touches on the ridiculous New York Times' list of 30 Greatest Living Songwriters, the unoriginality in modern music, and the phenomenon known as "Blue Dot Fever."

Bernie, Bernie26 Jun 202401:05:28

How did the Democrat Party move drastically leftward in the last decade or so? Many point to the elections of Barack Obama (notably 2012), but the shift, according to Tony Mazur, happened with the rise of Bernie Sanders. Tony lays out how the Vermont senator isn't just a mitten-clad grandpa yelling at the sky, but a man whose influence forever shaped the progressive coalition and moved the party to the far, far left.

The Holiest of Months12 Jun 202401:08:23

The month of June used to be filled with weddings, vacations, summer baseball leagues, and strawberry festivals. Today, every city, government organization, major corporation, and the mainstream media promote the new religion of our time, and we all know what that entails. Check Your Brain's Tony Mazur covers how we got from "live and let live" and "what two consenting adults do in the comfort of their home..." to "obey my pronouns and let me read pornography to your child, you bigot."

Mark Houck - Free Man & King's Men05 Jun 202400:52:34

Mark Houck is a husband, father of seven, and Pro-Life activist from Pennsylvania, and he made international headlines when the FBI arrested him inside his home. His crime? Defending his son from a crazed abortion supporter. He has since been acquitted and even ran for congress, and he joined the Check Your Brain podcast with Tony Mazur to talk about the arrest and his mission. They also discussed the abortion debate and how the rhetoric has changed, especially since June of 2022, the birth control pill, and what it means to be a Catholic.

Mark's mission is called The King's Men. For more information, visit TheKingsMen.org.

Ladies, Are We OK? Are We OK, Ladies?15 May 202401:16:43

The West is dealing with a mental health crisis, especially among Generations Y and Z due to the overabundance of social media. But much of this behavior seems to really affect young girls and adult women more than their male counterparts, from dating life to depression, all the way to transgenderism. Check Your Brain's Tony Mazur gives his analysis of what he thinks is going on and how to course correct.

In Defense of Nu Metal08 May 202401:05:43

Per a Patreon suggestion, Check Your Brain's Tony Mazur does an entire podcast defending the short-lived and much-maligned 1990s genre that was called nu metal. Bands such as Korn, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, Linkin Park, Slipknot, Staind, Sevendust, and others don't seem too bad to Tony, as compared to what is promoted on rock radio today. He also gets into what led up to nu metal, as well as the heavy metal genre's history dating back to the 1960s.

Mary Jane Murphy - Protect Women’s Sports01 May 202401:04:11

Mary Jane Murphy is a comedian from the New York area, though she got her start a decade ago in Hawaii. She joined Tony Mazur on the Check Your Brain podcast to first talk about "California sobriety," where one refrains from alcohol but does every drug under the sun.

One area where Mary Jane is quite serious about is the protection of women's sports, which have been infiltrated by biological men in the last ten years, and how we go about fighting back, but with love, not hate.

Mary Jane is very active on her Instagram @mjmurphycomedy, and her YouTube page is  @mjmurphycomedy.

Are the Savannah Bananas Ruining Baseball? Or Has MLB Done That to Themselves?06 May 202600:50:21

The Savannah Bananas have become one of the most polarizing topics on social media. Fans either love 'em or love how their kids react to them, or have a deep hatred of all things Banana Ball. Tony Mazur talks about the meteoric rise and how some kids' first introduction to baseball may be because of the Bananas, and that may not be the best thing. He also covers travel ball and the changes Rob Manfred has pushed onto the game to court younger fans the last decade.

Defund NPR Already17 Apr 202401:01:03

A 25-year veteran of NPR spills the beans how his employer lost the trust of America. The brains of the publicly-funded radio outlet seemed to have been broken by Donald Trump's election in 2016, and they have continued down the path of far left-wing dogma ever since, as covered on today's show by Tony Mazur.

The opening clip is from the podcast Honestly with Bari Weiss.

NPR Defends Porn, Masturbation27 Mar 202400:56:13

Is pornography as innocent as mainstream voices make it seem? Is it just a marital aid for exploring or distressed couples, or a "valve release" for single young men? Or is it more nefarious than we expected? And if it's the latter, why is it being pushed so hard? Check Your Brain's Tony Mazur takes a stab at these questions.

Why Can't Cities Be Nice WITHOUT the NFL Draft in Town?29 Apr 202600:47:26

The city of Pittsburgh hosted the 2026 NFL Draft, where over 800,000 football fans made the trek to the Three Rivers town. Prior to the draft, Alleghany County bragged about their efforts to clean up the city, but the question Tony Mazur poses in this week's Check Your Brain podcast is, why can't cities be this nice the other 362 days a year? Why can't urban areas remain pleasant on days when a foreign national or ESPN aren't in town?

Tony gives a brief history on the degradation of cities, which happened nearly 60 years ago, and we're seeing it all over again since 2020. He mentions how we don't need to put up with rampant lawlessness, from public urination to outright murder, even though urbanites will tell us it's "all part of living in the big city" and that "you gotta be tough" to live here.
