Original air date: May 3, 2024

Adam and Corey take a break from Curb to review Jerry Seinfeld's directorial debut, Unfrosted! Not since The Merv Griffin Show episode of Seinfeld have the boys been this far apart in their scores. To say they are divided on Unfrosted would be an understatement lol!

The Twin Towers (Spec Script) by Billy Domineau Review20 Apr 202300:46:29

"In “Twin Towers,” Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer all deal with slightly mundane 9/11-related conundrums that, naturally, wind up intersecting with one another in the episode’s finale. Jerry develops an aversion to the dust that’s settled over New York City; Elaine discovers—much to her chagrin—that the guy she wanted to dump didn’t end up dying in the attack; George is mistaken for a mysterious hero who saved a dozen people from the World Trade Center; and Kramer tries to get the government to replace his box cutters, which were stolen by his friend and used in the 9/11 hijacking." - Caroline Siede (from the AVClub article)

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast, Adam and Corey review a Seinfeld spec script, written by Billy Domineau, dealing with the aftermath of 9/11. Originally written as parody, the script quickly gained notoriety thanks to an AVClub article. We highly recommend you read both the article and the script itself before listening to the review!

Even though the boys don't break down the script scene by scene like the would with a regular episode, they do rate it like one at the end. Let us know what you think of the script or our review on Patreon or our social media pages.

Thanks to our Patrons for keeping Cartwright going, post Seinfeld! Don't forget you can listen to our weekly Curb Your Enthusiasm aftershow!

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast, Adam and Corey breakdown and review The Bookstore! You’ll have to listen to find out!

Seinfeld Episode 18 (Season 4) Summary: “Jerry enlists Elaine to find out if his girlfriend’s breasts are real. George loses another girlfriend after getting caught “double-dipping.””

Original air date: February 25, 1993

Another classic Seinfeld episode from the back half of season 4! This time we get the famous lines, “They’re real and they’re spectacular” and “double-dipping” (co-host Corey’s wife actually knew the latter even though she’s not a fan of the show, that’s how deep into pop culture Seinfeld is entrenched)! We hope you enjoy this episode of Cartwright! and feel free to leave us a comment on our Facebook Fan Page to discuss!

We’re absolutely loving the second half of this classic 90s sitcom! We only have a few more recording sessions left and then it’s onto season 5!

Original air date: February 4, 1993

Woohoo! Another solid episode of Seinfeld! So far, it seems like the back half of season four is much more consistent than the first half! Hopefully it stays that way as we make our way to the end of this wild season. There’s only a handful of episodes left and some of them are real classics!

Original air date: January 6, 1993

This week on Carwright! A Seinfeld Podcast Adam and Corey breakdown and review The Movie! It’s another fast paced episode with a lot of quick scenes so it was a little difficult to track but the boys did their best! Of course, expect the usual amount of side tangents that you’ve come to expect from this podcast! Also, who the hell is Tom La Grua?!

Original air date: December 16, 1992

For most fans, The Pick isn’t an episode that immediately comes to mind when discussing all-time classics, like The Contest does, which is why both Corey and Adam were really surprised by how many “clip show” worthy moments were jam packed into it! Spoiler alert: it’s a ton! Plus Elaine’s enigmatic sister Gail gets mentioned in this episode too. It’s a wild ride!

Original air date: November 25, 1992

Unless you are brand new to Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast then you know that Corey and Adam have had some problems with the first half of Seinfeld season 4. Needless to say, it’s been a bit of a roller coaster ride! But with two stellar episodes in a row (The Contest and now this), the boys are now hopeful that the second half of this beloved season will stick the landing!

Keep listening to find out if that’s true! And, as always, let us know what you think of the episode on our Facebook Fanpage!

Seinfeld Episode 10 (Season 4) Summary: “In this classic Emmy award-winning episode, Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer enter a contest to see who is “master” of their domain.”

Original air date: November 18, 1992

The boys couldn’t be more excited to review The Contest this week! It’s been one of the most anticipated episodes since they started the podcast! Does it live up to expectations? Well, you’ll just have to listen to find out! A little bit of a warning before you do - Adam and Corey really embraced their inner man-child while talking about the themes in this episode. So expect some pretty crude masturbatory humor lol

Seinfeld Episode 15 (Season 9) - The Wizard27 Oct 202201:02:05

Seinfeld Episode 15 (Season 9) Summery: “Jerry buys his father an electronic organizer. Elaine thinks her boyfriend is black. Kramer retires to Florida, and Morty convinces him to run for condo board president. George lies to Susan’s parents about leasing a house in the Hamptons.”

Original air date: February 26, 1998

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast, Adam and Corey breakdown and review The Wizard! The boys both agree that this is a top-tier episode of their favorite show about nothing! Every storyline is strong but, more importantly, The Wizard makes fun of people’s need to categorize someone based on race. Just like with “Not that there’s anything wrong with that,” Seinfeld is at its best when it’s handling taboo topics.

Episode 9 - The Virgin (Season 4)07 May 202000:57:58

Seinfeld Episode 9 (Season 4) Summary: “Jerry discovers the girl he’s dating is a virgin. Kramer’s constant interruptions make it difficult for Jerry and George to write their pilot. When they go to pitch it to the network, George’s kiss costs Susan her job at NBC.”

Original air date: November 11, 1992

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast the boys dive into another build-up episode. This time it’s the calm before the “Contest” storm! (Side note: we can’t wait for that!) “The Virgin” is still a solid episode on its own though… more so than some of the previous build-up eps at least!

Original air date: November 4, 1992

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast Adam and Corey get real dark with Crazy Joe Davola! But then they get silly again so it all evens out! The real question is, how well does “The Opera” hold up after all these years? You’ll just have to listen to this episode to find out!

Episode 7 - The Cheever Letters (Season 4)23 Apr 202000:43:08

Seinfeld Episode 7 (Season 4) Summary: “Jerry offends Elaine’s assistant with the “panty remark.” Kramer makes a new contact for his Cuban cigars. A box of letters from John Cheever is all that remains after the Ross cabin burns down.”

Original air date: October 28, 1992

Not only is “The Cheever Letters” a sold Seinfeld episode (according to Adam and Corey), but it also marks the first appearance of Susan Ross’ parents on the show! Woohoo! Sure, they may not be as popular as the Costanzas or the Seinfelds but we love them. (You know what we don’t love? The “panty remark.” Gross, Jerry!)

Seinfeld Episode 6 (Season 4) Summary: “Jerry agrees to visit a bubble boy on the way to visiting a cabin in the woods. But Jerry and Elaine get lost and George winds up fighting the bubble boy. Meanwhile, Kramer appears at the cabin and wreaks havoc.”

Original air date: October 7, 1992

Woohoo! The Bubble Boy episode! Classic Seinfeld, right? Well, maybe. Adam and Corey were so happy to finally get to this episode, but it had a hard time living up to their nostalgic expectations. Listen to find out where things went wrong and where they went right (there’s still a lot of fun to be had especially when Brian Doyle-Murray is on the screen)!

Episode 5 - The Watch (Season 4)09 Apr 202000:43:31

Seinfeld Episode 5 (Season 4) Summary: “Jerry tries to buy his watch back from Uncle Leo to appease his parents. Meanwhile, George pleads with the NBC executive to reconsider their pilot deal. Elaine enlists Kramer in a plan to break up with Dr. Reston.”

Original air date: September 30, 1992

We wrap up the third two-part episode story arc from the fourth season of Seinfeld (that was a mouth full)! And even though this episode and the previous one has a lot to enjoy, the overall experience left Adam and Corey feeling like they just got off a roller coaster… and not in a good way. But, as we’ve seen before, sometimes the worst episodes of Seinfeld turn into the best episodes of Cartwright!

Original air date: September 23, 1992

And we kick off another 2-part episode arc with The Wallet! Does anyone else find it odd that technically the first 6 episodes of Seinfeld Season 4 are actually 3 one hour stories? Adam and Corey discuss this weird occurrence and a whole bunch of other stuff while they break down and review The Wallet!

Original air date: September 16, 1992

Yo-Yo Ma!! We are so happy to be recording our review of The Pitch/The Ticket this week! For us, Seinfeld Season 4 really starts with this two-parter (not that other one that shall not be named)! Seinfeld Episode 2 (Season 4) Summary: “Jerry and George discover that Kramer is suspected as the serial killer known as ‘The Smog Strangler.’”

Original air date: August 19, 1992

We’re almost at the finish line! The worst Seinfeld story line is almost over (at least according to hosts Adam and Corey)! But there’s still a lot of fun to be had during this episode of Cartwright… sadly, it’s at the expense of the creators of this terrible two-part arc. Original air date: August 12, 1992

Adam and Corey knew it was coming… the two part episode they both hate… The Trip! UGHHHH! Not wanting to have their score clouded by their feelings (or lack of nostalgia) for this episode, they both tried to watch it with an open mind and and open heart. Seinfeld Episode 13 (Season 9) - The Cartoon13 Oct 202200:46:46

Original air date: January 29, 1998

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast, Adam and Corey breakdown and review The Cartoon! Sadly, this episode threads familiar ground with Jerry and George and, even worse, it was done better before. Couple that with some fairly weak storylines and you have an episode worthy of the hatred everyone has for Sally Weaver lol!

Original air date: May 6, 1992

Her portrait of Kramer becomes a hot seller. Elaine refuses to remove her Orioles cap while sitting in the Yankees’ owner’s box during a game.”

Original air date: March 25, 1992

The Kramer painting! Elaine being from Towson, MD (the same place co-host Corey went to college)! So much fun stuff to talk about in one episode, but also some bad stuff too. That’s ok though… it’s Seinfeld so you know the boys still had a blast breaking it down and discussing it!

Original air date: March 4, 1992

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast Adam and Corey come to the realization that “The Good Samaritan” just tries too damn hard to be classic Seinfeld and, sadly, comes up short! The boys still have a blast breaking down and discussing this episode, even if it left them feeling a bit ‘meh.’

They’re thrilled to learn that they’re heading for Madison Square Garden and invite Kramer and Elaine to join them. The gang fears for their lives when Neo-Nazis hop in the limo and they discover their true destination.”

Original air date: February 26, 1992

A pointless B-storyline and mediocre writing keeps this episode from achieving true greatness even though Adam and Corey both enjoyed the A-storyline and the three stand-up bits. Oh well, they can’t all be winners! As an added bonus, The Limo features one of Corey’s childhood crushes: Suzanne Snyder from Return of the Living Dead Part 2!

Original air date: February 12, 1992

Original air date: February 5, 1992

“Oh! My! Gawd!” Yup, this is the episode with Maggie Wheeler (aka Janice from Friends). Worlds are colliding! Wait, that’s the wrong Seinfeld episode lol! Anyways, bad jokes aside, the boys had a lot of fun talking about this solid episode from everyone’s favorite sitcom about nothing.

Episode 14 - The Pez Dispenser (Season 3)19 Dec 201900:52:44

Seinfeld Episode 14 (Season 3) Summary: “Jerry’s Pez dispenser makes Elaine laugh during George’s new girlfriend’s piano recital. George wins the upper hand in his faltering relationship with her after performing a preemptive break-up.”

Original air date: January 15, 1992

Top to bottom, this is one hell of an episode of Seinfeld! Kramer’s firing out great ideas left and right, Jerry’s obsessed with Pez, George is losing hand, and some of the tightest sitcom writing we’ve seen! What more do you want? It’s so good Corey’s going to show it to his wife in hopes of getting her hooked on Seinfeld!

One thing that isn’t mentioned in the detailed summary above is all the high-profile supporting cast in this episode! From the realtor in the first Ghostbusters movie to the voice of Cobra Commander, there are a lot of crazy cameos packed into 22 minutes…and we talk about all of them! Make sure to let us know if we missed anything on our Cartwright Facebook Fanpage!

Seinfeld Episode 11 (Season 9) - The Dealership29 Sep 202200:54:42

Seinfeld Episode 11 (Season 9) Summery: “Jerry decides to buy a new car from Puddy. A starving George accuses a mechanic of stealing his Twix bar. Kramer test-drives a car, emptying its gas tank. Puddy’s obsession with high-fives leads Elaine to break up with him…again.”

Original air date: January 8, 1998

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast, Adam and Corey breakdown and review The Dealership! An episode that starts out strong but gradually runs out of gas over time. There was some fun to be had at the dealership, to be sure, but over this is a fairly middle-of-the-road episode of Seinfeld. Worthy of a high-five…but maybe not a “down low.”

ATENTION: The next episode (The Reverse Peephole) will be Patreon exclusive!

Episode 12 - The Red Dot (Season 3)05 Dec 201900:55:22

Seinfeld Episode 12 (Season 3) Summary: “Elaine’s recovering alcoholic boyfriend falls off the wagon when Jerry inadvertently switches his drink. George buys Elaine a cashmere sweater with a small flaw to thank her for getting him a job in her office. He must face the consequences of having sex on his desk with the office cleaning woman.”

Original air date: December 11, 1991

Wowzers! There’s a lot packed into this episode, as you can tell by the description above, and it’s all clip show worthy (a phrase you’ll hear Adam and Corey say a lot this episode)! Not to mention Kramer drunk, and American Werewolf in London! Strap in, Cartwrighters! This one’s a fun ride!

Episode 11 - The Alternate Side (Season 3)21 Nov 201900:41:57

Seinfeld Episode 11 (Season 3) Summary: “George’s job moving cars from one side of the street to the other turns out to be much harder than he expected. Kramer gets a line in a Woody Allen film: ‘These pretzels are making me thirsty.’”

Original air date: December 4, 1991

From Woody Allen to rental cars, there’s so much fun Seinfeldness to unpack in this episodes it’s hard to know where to begin! At the very least you have to listen to this episode to hear Adam and Corey do their best “these pretzels are making me thirsty” line. Let us know who did it better!

Episode 10 - The Stranded (Season 3)14 Nov 201900:45:19

Seinfeld Episode 10 (Season 3) Summary: “George strands Jerry and Elaine at a Long Island party because his sexy co-worker came onto him. The party host (Michael Chiklis) later visits Jerry in the city and has fun with Kramer and a hooker.”

Original air date: November 27, 1991

“The Stranded” is a weird episode! Not only was it supposed to air during season two, making all the stuff with George and his co-workers seem odd in season three because he already quit his job, but it almost felt like two different stories. Like with most of the oddball episodes though, Adam and Corey had a lot more fun breaking it down than they did watching it. The latter half, at least (the first half is quite good)!

Episode 9 - The Nose Job (Season 3)07 Nov 201900:46:18

Seinfeld Episode 9 (Season 3) Summary: “Jerry dates a sexy but shallow actress, forcing him to evaluate whether his penis or his brain rules his relationships. Kramer encourages George’s girlfriend Audrey to get a nose job, which goes horribly wrong.”

Original air date: November 20, 1991

The “sexy but shallow actress” mentioned in the summary is none other than 80’s music video vixen, Tawny Kitaen! That’s pretty cool…to those of us older than 30! Does Tawny’s guest spot take the show to a new level or is it all a ruse and there isn’t much meat on the bone? Listen and find out!

Episode 8 - The Tape (Season 3)31 Oct 201900:41:09

Seinfeld Episode 8 (Season 3) Summary: “George orders a miracle baldness cure from China. Elaine leaves an erotic message on Jerry’s tape recorder. Her dirty-mouthed practical joke spurs sexual interest in her from the guys, especially George.”

Original air date: November 13, 1991

Oofa…The Tape. Spoiler alert: this was not a favorite episode of Seinfeld for Adam or Corey, but they still had a lot of fun going off on different tangents and discussions while reviewing it. Proving the point once more that sometimes weaker Seinfeld eps actually make for better, if not more lively, conversations!

Seinfeld Episode 7 (Season 3) Summary: “A small failing restaurant brings out Jerry’s sympathy, but when the owner, Babu Bhatt, takes his advice, things go from bad to worse. Elaine helps George cheat on an IQ test but their caper backfires thanks to Kramer and his stolen jacket.”

Original air date: November 6, 1991

"You're a bad man! Very, very bad!"

But is Jerry really a bad man? Adam and Corey may not agree on how much they like or dislike this episode but they do agree that Jerry’s advice was actually pretty damn good! When it comes to restaurant themes, it’s better to be focused. Do you agree with our assessment of this episode? Leave a comment on our Facebook page and let us know!

Original air date: October 30, 1991

Full disclosure: with no scene breaks, this episode was really tough to break down and discuss in chronological order! Good thing Adam and Corey are season pros so they only muddle their way through 40% of the show lol. Have fun with this classic episode of Seinfeld!

Original air date: October 9, 1991

PROGNOSES NEGATIVE [said in George’s intercom robot voice] This week Adam and Corey have a great time breaking down and discussing Season 3’s “The Dog!” It’s more fun than an apartment full of Farfels!

Kramer installs a disposal in his shower. Elaine’s co-worker fears her germs, and Puddy admits he’s a germ-a-phobe as well. James Spader guest stars.”

Original air date: December 11, 1997

This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast, Adam and Corey breakdown and review The Apology! You know, the episode with where 80s mega-star, James Spader plays Stanky Hanky lol! (Yes, Corey writes the episode notes)

Inside jokes aside, this is a very serviceable episode of Seinfeld. It comes in, does its job, and doesn't overstay its welcome. Not all episodes have to be homeruns, sometimes a nice little bunt will do. Let us know what you think of The Apology in the comments below!

Original air date: September 18, 1991

After a short hiatus the boys are back to talk about all things Seinfeld! They kick off Season 3 with “The Note” and are surprised to find that the episode doesn’t hold up that well under scrutiny. Maybe it was the off-putting freestyle skat intro this episode featured? Skibbity bebop heyyyyyyyyy…
