A young South African man raised in a rural Afrikaner farming community had never met a Muslim in his life, until a vivid dream of men in white robes around a desert fire led him, the very next morning, to a stranger on the roadside and straight into a mosque. He took his shahada that same day, and within a year moved to Yemen's Hadramawt Valley to study under scholars in the ancient city of Tarim, eventually watching his own father travel there and embrace Islam too. It's a story about dreams, lineage, and what it means to truly live a faith rather than just believe in it.-Start halal investing 👉 https://uninteresting.wahed.com/canyon-Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/0xfSSc1...Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast...-0:00 – Intro6:25 – Moving to Johannesburg: A Soul Quietly Searching14:49 – Saying the Shahada and the Call to Seek Knowledge23:14 – The People Who Remind You of God31:39 – What Islam Actually Requires You to Wear40:03 – The Sheikh Whose Turban Matched His Dream48:28 – Islam, Iman & Ihsan: The Three Levels of Faith56:53 – Why We Send Blessings on the Prophet ﷺ1:05:17 – 20 Years of Prayer Before Feeling Anything1:13:42 – Nothing Happens Except by the Will of God-Clips Channel:    / @canyonmimbsshowclips  Canyon:   / canyonmimbs  Contact Us: canyon@canyonmimbs.com#islam #revertstory #muslim

Hamza went from a disinterested atheist running his own finance company to defending Islam in pubs after 9/11, but it took a near-fatal car crash on the motorway to finally push him toward Shahada, even knowing it would cost him his relationship, his daughters, and his father's business. 24 years later, he's the founder of Hamza's Den, a street da'wah veteran of Speaker's Corner who's built a logical framework proving Muhammad ﷺ as a true prophet by ruling out every alternative. Caren set out to convert Muslim students to Christianity, she even packed a Quran on her way to Bible college just to find ammunition against it. Sakina grew up Catholic in a tiny Ontario town, questioning the Trinity as a kid and watching her parents quietly admit the Bible had been changed. Decades later, after finding the Quran, taking shahada in a park, and building a life of faith, she faced the hardest test any revert can face: losing both parents to cancer without them ever accepting Islam, including her mother's choice to use Canada's MAID program. This is a story about grief, steadfastness, and finding Allah's support when no one else has walked your exact path.-Get a FREE $10 when you start investing with Wahed and use code "CANYON". In this episode, a scholar breaks down one of the most comforting themes in the Quran: the boundless mercy of Allah toward sinners who turn back to Him. Through powerful stories, from Fir'awn's drowning to the man who killed 100 people, he explains what true repentance (tawba) requires, why guilt can either pull you closer to Allah or push you into despair, and how hardship itself can erase sin. The conversation closes with a simple, practical reminder: whatever you've done, run back to salah and never stop asking for forgiveness.-Get a FREE $10 when you start investing with Wahed and use code "CANYON".
