In our first episode of dMbOnDemand we break down the fundamentals behind the brand. We discuss the lofty goals for the podcast and the history of the brand. The host explains the format for the show and answers questions that he will ask the guests each episode.

Our guest for this week is Jesse Buckman. Jesse is an outstanding young man that was born and raised on dMb. He discusses his skills, desires, the worst day of his life and the best day of his life with all of the stories influenced by the music we all know and love.

SEASON 1 FINALE!

Thank you to everyone that has helped and encouraged us over the past few months and found our footing! I am so excited to say that we have now closed out season 1 with a bang! You won't have to wait long for season two as we already have 6 episodes recorded and ready to publish! Onward to better things for the podcast!

EPISODE NOTES:

Today we sit down with Mary Jane, the husband of Sam who appeared in episode 09! You will here some of the same stories told that were shared in episode 9 but from a totally different perspective. It's a master-class in the commonality through music that we aim to explore on the podcast. Strap in, this one runs longer than our normal episodes but I wouldn't want to shave a second off of what was a brave, vulnerable and raw presentation put forth in this podcast for the sake of the listeners.

Tens of thousands of volunteers, donors and supporters advance the Make-A-Wish® vision to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a critical illness. In the U.S. and its territories, a wish is granted every 34 minutes. A wish can be that spark that helps these children believe that anything is possible and gives them the strength to fight harder against their illnesses. This one belief guides us and inspires them to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids they serve.

A DMB Family Surprise!

Saison 1 · Épisode 11

mardi 9 juin 2020Durée 20:35

This special episode is a group project to congratulate one of our good, good friends, Jesse! Jesse Buckman is an integral part of the #DMBFamily. He is a soulful, kindhearted & outstanding young man who was born, raised on and shaped by the music & spirit of DMB.

Recently, Jesse graduated from college and like so many graduates, was unable to have a physical commencement or celebration to honor his accomplishments with family & friends.

With that in mind we reached out to our DMB family on Twitter and asked them to record a congratulatory message for Jesse that was used to compile this episode!

We have also started our DMB History segment that airs right before the interview each week. Bridget from season 1 has taken on the role of host for this segment and we're extremely grateful for her contribution. This week we cover 1992-1994.

First, go like and follow Will Evans Band and Barefoot Truth on twitter @willevansmusic and facebook. That is the band I shoutout at the end of the podcast. They are an amazing band, all their music is on apple music and spotify and youtube. A mix of john butler trio, dave matthews, oar, and dispatch. A local band from where I live, theyre amazing in concert.

My Top 10 DMB songs for a first time listener, in no order: Ants Marching (Album: Under the table and dreaming), Gravedigger (Acoustic, Album: Some Devil), Grace is Gone (Busted Stuff), Samurai Cop (Album: Come Together), The Song That Jane Likes (Album: The Gorge 2004), Warehouse (Album: Live at Folsom Field 2002), Eh Hee (Album Live at Radio City), Two Step (Album: Live at Central Park 2003), Save Me (Live Trax Vol. 29 2014), Dont Drink The Water (Album: Before these crowded streets).

A few of my favorite deep tracks for the heavy Dave listeners: Linus and Lucy (Live Trax Vol 1: Centrum), Spoon (Live Trax Vol. 28: John Paul Jones Arena), Recently (Live at Red Rocks 1995), Minarets (Live Trax Vol. 7: Hampton), Smooth Rider (Weekend On The Rocks), #41* I put this song on purely for Victor Wooten Bass solo around the 6:30 mark. It is unreal. I suggest you watch it on youtube to truly appreciate his skills and flow on the bass (Live in Chicago 12.19.98). Everyday (The Gorge 2004), The Stone and Grace is Gone (Live Trax Vol. 22: Montage Mountain). Even deeper track -> Work It Out - Jurassic 5 feat. Dave Matthews.

Other than that, get out there and explore the live trax lists. I just recently discovered the Live Trax Vol 22, and it is amazing. The Live Trax Vol. 29 is great as well, heavy horns on that one.
