Lee Stewart Bio I am one of the very few sustainability consultants who has over 20 years' experience including working for billion-dollar multinational companies. I am now on a mission to help others and support businesses to become a force for good whilst also being profitable. Below is my book preface on "Why I Wrote How to Build Sustainability into Your Business Strategy." Many individuals can go through their entire professional career without discovering their true purpose. After years of working, they may reflect on their accomplishments and question if it was all worthwhile. Did their work solely focus on increasing profits for their company by selling more products or services? What if they had found a way to leverage their expertise and knowledge to benefit society and the environment earlier in their career? By understanding your "why", you can harness a powerful tool that keeps you motivated and on track during challenging times. Personally, I have spent years refining my purpose, and it ultimately comes down to having a greater sense of meaning in my work. My purpose is twofold: to provide financial security for my family and to make a positive impact on the world. Despite many moments of doubt and uncertainty, where I questioned if my work was just greenwashing or focused on profits over sustainability, I have consistently strived to improve sustainability outcomes in every role I have held. Over time, my "why" has evolved, and now, as a father of three, I am more determined than ever to make a difference in the world. Understanding the bigger picture and the role I can play in creating a better future is a powerful driver that keeps me focused and motivated to succeed. Drawing from my own journey through the trials and triumphs of global corporate roles, this book, How to Build Sustainability into Your Business Strategy, is born from the bruises, frustrations, and burnout. It's more than a guidebook. It’s my obsession to help individuals seek deeper meaning in their careers and to enlighten businesses on the practical steps to seize the sustainability opportunity of our time.

Who is Rael Bricker? In 2013 I was given a rude awakening when after a season of triathlons, I decided to run a marathon. All this was part of a plan before turning 50. Each time I ran, I experienced neck pain and it was discovered that I had two blocked arteries. I was the lucky one- I dodged a bullet and ended up with two stents. This experience helped me to find my purpose in life. I found my purpose in sharing the experiences of journeying and achieving excellence with business owners and entrepreneurs around the world. After 30+ years as a serial entrepreneur, in everything from education to finance to fitness, I’ve now made it my mission to share my knowledge and expertise with others. Seeing that light come on, and connections being made in people’s heads as to how they can weave my experiences and advice into their businesses reinforces that this is where I need to be. From being 6000ft underground in a mine, to starting an education business (that grew to have 4000 plus students) and spending years working in venture capital, I have has seen it all. I have listed companies on multiple international stock exchanges, and my financial services group has settled more than $3bn in loans over 20 years. I have a diverse work history combined with unique global research interviews with companies in more than 25 countries. Taking this knowledge and experience makes me perfect to work with leaders and managers on growing and achieving excellence, as I have experienced the rollercoaster myself, and know how to navigate the twists, turns and loops. If you need me to have academic qualifications, I hold two Masters degrees; an MBA and MSc (Engineering) and am currently a Fellow of the MFAA (Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia), a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) (Professional Speakers Australia) and a Member of AICD (Australian Institute of Company Directors). My most important qualification is from the school of hard knocks and my most important skill is being able to listen to your needs and design a solution to help you. I am the first inspirationalist in Australia with Integrus Global and a Mentor with both Mentored With Mark Bouris and Mastermind.space. “He was still standing in direct line of fire when he was risking his life to save mine. Bullets are whizzing around us, but he stabilised me in 10 minutes in the brick line of fire. And in the analysis afterwards, he says he doesn't know how my heart didn't stop. All the textbooks say it should have stopped. The only reason he believed that it didn't stop, was because I had never read those textbooks.”

Where to find Derrick McManus? LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/derrickmcmanus Website https://www.derrickmcmanus.com/
Who is Derrick McManus? Derrick McManus was a South Australian Police officer operating in the elite Special Tasks And Rescue (STAR) Group. He held specialist skills as a sniper, diver and was trained by the military elite Special Air Services Regiment (SAS) in counter-terrorist tactics. This is a physically, mentally and emotionally demanding environment. It is an extreme, potentially overwhelming, VUCA environment in every way.
Derrick’s team had been tasked to arrest a high-risk offender. He was obviously not very keen on being arrested. He fired 18 times in less than 5 seconds and hit Derrick 14 times. Derrick was then lying on the ground bleeding for 3 hours prior to his rescue. It was also anticipated that Derrick would suffer massive post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and be in psychological therapy for decades after such a massive traumatic event.
Three months after the shooting, Derrick had a single appointment with the Director of the Adelaide Centre for Traumatic Stress Studies – an international expert in traumatic stress. Derrick defied all odds and amazed everyone when he was immediately psychologically cleared to go back to full duties with the elite STAR Group (obviously his physical injuries took much longer).
Derrick had proactively prepared himself physically, mentally, AND emotionally for the challenges he could expect as a result of the choices he had made. He took responsibility for his actions and for all possible consequences. This format has been developed into the model for Human Durability and forms the basis of the philosophies within the Australian Centre for Human Durability.
Derrick has been a speaker and trainer on the international speaking circuit for the past 20 years. He’s presented to audiences of 7 people to 4000 people, 5-year-old students to staff/team leaders to executives/CEO’s through to retirees. Derrick provides the insights and the tools to go beyond resilience to durability and create sustained optimum performance. He will show you how to create greater success for your people, leaders, and the organization.

| In Conversation - Devin Miller Can I trademark my own name? | 08 Dec 2021 | 00:24:42 | |
”So, if you think of a patent, it goes towards an invention. Something that has a functionality, it does something and accomplishes something that would be a patent. A trademark is more on the branding side. When you think of the name of a company, name of a business, a logo, a catchphrase something, it is what the brand is. And then copyrights are going to be more on the creative side. So, if it's kind of creative in nature, you know, a book, a video, a sculpture, or a painting something that's on the creative side, you protect with copyrights.”
“And so again, it's one where you have to look and say how? what is the plan for the business? Are you looking for bringing on partners, investors, licencing it, setting it up for acquisitions, and then you start to look and say, now let's set up a structure that has the best protection.”

That's a procedure that they've built in for themselves. So therefore, the customer experience is dilapidated at best, and it doesn't create customer loyalty.” “I mean, the first thing that you really need to do is you need to make sure that whatever you're offering is what the customer wants. No, what you're selling is a value added to your customer, that is the first thing you need to do. Who is Kellie Koach? Here’s my story and why I’m doing what I’m doing I was 3 when the passion that inspired my business was born I was 7 when I said to my mum, I’m going to open a baby shop I was 8 when I began my business journey
When I was 3 years old, my little sister Abbie entered the world with a Left Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. This meant a hole in her diaphragm had pushed all her intestines & stomach into her chest cavity, pushing her heart to the wrong side. She was immediately flown to the Royal Children's Hospital to receive lifesaving surgery. during Abbie's recovery, it meant that I got to spend a lot of time in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit. I would visit Abbie; help take care of her and bring her teddies. just being surrounded by so many little babies and the overall experience of Abbie's birth left a real imprint in my heart, sparking a passion for babies and the desire to nurture. as me and Abbie have grown up together, she has been by my side every step of the way in the dream to open our business But the business journey, I just wished that I could just know the right things, to have the right help that would actually show me some positive results we would go to conferences, seminars, workshops, fill up books with notes that would then pile up. It’s so easy to get lost in the overload of ‘coaching’ and ‘advice’ out there trying to understand the analytics that goes on behind operating a business. I was 8 when I started to try this, mum was trying the best to make it happen, but she didn't have the expertise, and we did get lost. We got overwhelmed and it hit a bit of a standstill. In my mid-teens I was still dead serious about my future being my business, so I launched it again, I found the workshops etc that I would go to or read would help me with a specific point, or get me to a specific place but not enough to ground me solidly in every aspect of ru

Because so often, that's not the case in businesses, but when we can make that shift happen, that then sets the tone across the rest of the business sale going on vision, traction, unhealthy. We utilize a variety of tools and different processes, but ultimately, that's what we're looking to help people.”

This prompted me to create Pinnacle Traction. It's been a long journey that started when I co-founded a company called imei in 2000 with a trusted business partner. I worked in several key leadership roles throughout its growth, and when we reached a critical point of change in the business, I stepped back, leaving it in the hands of a new CEO. Unfortunately, things didn't work out. To cut a long story short, my co-founder and I took back the reins and worked with a business coach who mentored us in implementing the Entrepreneurial Operating SystemTM (EOS) that ultimately turned things around.
It's just that I have a different way of doing things. You make more money faster and have more time to spend with your family.

Understand what the owner prison is and how entrepreneurs get trapped in the repetitive 2-year cycle. 2. Automate, delegate, and eliminate tasks to free up time and scale the business. 3. Overcome the need to do everything by quantifying time spent on tasks and showing others who can do them better. 4. With over 30 years in business himself, Richard has embraced time compression, sharing the secrets and strategies that bring rapid and lasting results to the companies he works with. After 20 years in business and at the top of my game '08/09 hit and I lost everything. At this same time, I had a wife and six children under the age of four. As a Marine, champion boxer and black belt I'm not a fan of losing, so I had to do the hard work of determining why I failed so catastrophically. I connected all the dots (and there were a lot of them) and started to rebuild and regain success. At this same time business owners are trapped in the Owner Prison where they serve their business instead of it serving them. I show them how to Escape the Owner Prison. other entrepreneurs were watching and asking me how I did it. Next thing you know I'm helping them create their business to not only withstand hardship but begin to thrive and create a life with balance in the five most important areas of life - Faith, Family, Finances, Fitness and Friendships. I even wrote a best-selling book called Escape the Owner Prison where I detailed my story and how they can escape themselves. I learned that if I could help business owners understand the power that business ownership has, that it will not only balance their life, but it can do the same for those under their employment. That in turn transfers to their families which then influences the communities they live in. Now, do this with 10,000 Small businesses and we have the opportunity to alter the lives of millions of people for the better...

This is a book for people with ADHD, it takes just a few minutes to read, yet should have a long-lasting effect on you. Good automation solves two litmus tests. The first I think is fairly obvious and that's it's an increase in efficiency when you add automation in right? Does this thing happen quicker? Because automation is a part of the workflow? Typically, that answer is yes. The second thing is that's if automation improves the efficacy of what we're doing does the outcome of what we're creating become better because we've added automation into the workflow or not? It's difficult because it's not always a black and white, yes or no answer. It's dependent on you and your business and your understanding of what you're trying to achieve by adding automation as a tool into your workflow.
2:29 To automate a process, I’m looking for a 1-2% change that will speed up the process measurably 6:03 In my book I talk about simplifying your business to five steps: a lead, a sale, onboarding, delivering the product, then offboarding 11:22 You should treat automation as almost like hiring a new employee 16:25 We need to solve pain points in organisations with automation 23:38 Our clients own their AI, their tech, their automations I think it's part of the power of being able to not rely on somebody else In his previous career as a Mechanical Engineer he worked across all aspects of business from sales and estimating to project management and high-end design. I grew up in Northern Ireland in a pub, my parents owned the pub, we grew up above it. Later in life, as I started working with organizations and leaders, one of the common complaints or one of the common concerns was around engagement and people, how do you get people engaged? And how do you get people to feel like they belong in an organization?
The more I thought about that, I thought hey, here's this, institution that's been around for hundreds of years that people voluntarily go to, they call it their local. In there, people make connections, and people have sense of belonging and they're vulnerable. They tell stories, they don't feel they have to be perfect and I thought it was a wonderful institution to look at to see what's happening, what's some of the dynamics in there that might inform businesses and leadership today?
2:41 One thing I’ve learned from Covid is that you can’t take away the physical powewr of contact between people 4:47 Everyone has an emotional trigger point and it varies from person to person 10:27 Telling stories is a unique way for us to connect in the corporate world 16:23 In business it’s better when all the voices in the team are heard 20:18 All leaders have a cultural bias and they have to be conscious of their bias

He is in the process of launching a new podcast called The Accessibility Advantage where he will interview business owners who have embraced accessibility and inclusion to their benefit. The podcast will also feature short accessibility tutorials and website reviews of sites or apps belonging to his clients. So, stay tuned for that. If you have any questions about anything in his profile, please just ask. Maxwell learned a long time ago that it's easier to answer awkward questions than make people guess.

Every time I see someone self-sabotaging I understand, having had that experience makes me a bit more empathetic towards people who are doing it and I and I call them on it really quickly. The benefit of situational awareness is it doesn't care how fast you're going in and you know, I see ample bad decisions made at a slow speed, let alone bad decisions at high speed. One of the things we learn is good or bad decisions is irrelevant, the decision itself is what's important.
1:28 I was exceedingly lucky to have that sense of purpose or an incredibly young age. 5:09 I think that the biggest handbrake to people living their best lives is themselves 7:35 What I subconsciously decided to do was sabotage my career instead 13:10 What I think is important is the leader must work in the business to understand what it's like working as an employee in the business 18:33 Without a decision, the environment stays vague and stays gray, you need to move into the black or white end of that spectrum.

"And it's just my pleasure to try to help people get unstuck, because what I find is, so many entrepreneurs, they're stuck in their ways, you know, their business may be stuck, but they may also be stuck in their ways as far as not having sort of a Northstar, not having a business goal, let alone a personal goal "
Regarded as a “pragmatic visionary," Terry is best known for pairing innovative thinking with practical solutions that help organizations transform their operations and achieve meaningful success.
Not only does Terry advise existing companies, but he also builds and transforms his own ventures. Most recently, he co-founded, scaled, and then profitably exited, RSVD, a SaaS business that provides digital capacity management solutions for retail, food, and hospitality industries.
Terry is a consumer engagement pioneer, who prior to Future Proof Advisors, co-founded and scaled Fanscape, one of the first-ever social media marketing agencies, which he grew from an initial $10K investment to an eight-figure acquisition by Omnicom (OMC: NYSE). Terry began his career in the music industry, culminating with his role as VP, Artist Development at Interscope / A&M Records (Universal Music Group).
