In this special update-isode, Chris and Cody give everyone an update on what's been going on in their lives. Chris is busy as ever being a fancy schmancy director. Cody's been traveling, and his travels have included some fun paranormal stuffs, so he shares stories and info about his friend's haunted house and also Chichen Itza, the wonder of the world where people were sacrificed and their ghosts are said to haunt the place to this day. We have a very special live episode for you recorded for the Arizona Theatre Matters 2022 Festival. In it, we talk all about seances (as if it wasn’t obvious from our last minisode). First, Cody talks about Helen Duncan, the last woman tried as a witch in Britain for talking to dead soldiers during WW2. Then, Chris discusses Mae West, the Hollywood starlet fascinated by seances. Next, Cody shares the story of a man who sets up a fake seance only to have the real thing thrown in his face. Finally, Chris talks about a crazy seance set up in a haunted Toys R Us…You read that right. Our drinks were whatever the heck we wanted to make for this special.

Oh “baby”, do we have an episode for you! In this woo-fest, we talk about all sorts of paranormal pregnancies. First, Cody talks about Amanda Teague, a woman in Ireland who married a ghost pirate whom she believes impregnated her. Then, Chris shares creepy encounters with the paranormal that coincided with different pregnancies. In this minisode, we bring two stories with something (subtle) in common. First, Chris tells a true crime story about a man who, desperate for money, kills two people - to create the dumbest alibi ever - and calmly performs on stage right after. Then, Cody dives into the world of cinema and talks about cursed film sets. He focuses on the Conjuring Universe as a throwback to previous episodes (whee!). Can you guess next week’s topic?

This week, Cody and Chris talk about the ultra-fascinating Cellular Memory Phenomenon (CPT). CPT is a crazy occurrence in which an organ recipient takes on personality traits of their donor. First, Cody talks about Clair Sylvia, who after a heart/lung transplant, suddenly had a hankering for chicken nuggets and beer. Then, Chris discusses a donor who predicted his death...and the girl he would give his heart to. Literally. Next, Cody brings the mood down with a story about a man who ended up marrying his donor’s wife and then met the same horrible fate. Finally, Chris tells us about a (douchey) guy who became much more sexually proficient following his transplant. Creep of the Week comes from a listener, who as a flight attendant, stayed in the creepiest hotel ever! This week’s drinks are a mixed berry smoothie and Pineapple Truly.

A Change of Heart

In this minisode, Cody and Chris share two truly bizarre cases that have to do with organs (the human kind). First, Cody discusses an insane case of pettiness, where a husband wants the kidney back that he donated to his soon-to-be ex-wife. Then, Chris tells a recent story about a prison inmate who was brutally murdered and his organs removed. Even more insane, they were never found (that we know of). Can you guess our next topic from these stories?

In this episode, Cody and Chris get explicit (well, more so than usual) and discuss the Succubus and Incubus, or demons who have sex with people. First, Cody tells us about Pope Sylvester II, the priest who made a deal with a succubus in order to reach his rank. Then, Chris shares the story of a gay couple who was touched upon and thrust upon by the same entity. Next, Cody discusses a 16-year-old nerd who summons a Succubus for his own personal exploration. Finally, Chris talks about Doris Bither, the real life case that became the basis for the book and film, The Entity.
