Chef Ben Taylor Little Blackwood05 Jul 201900:50:25

HELLO FOODIES, This week we are Breaking Bread With Head Chef & owner of one of our favourite restaurants at the moment, Little Blackwood Moseley.  We start the episode off by going through Bens work history, places he has trained at, and how working in hotel kitchens is so different to working in a normal restaurant and changes dramatically again, when you own your own restaurant. Since recording this episode, we have been very lucky to have become friends with Ben & his girlfriend restaurant manager Zsofia. As you hear in the show, Ben is extremely passionate about his restaurant and loves what he does. I think the crazy hard work that goes in to being a restaurant owner is evident.

Ep.7 Literally Breaking Bread, with bread Baker Seb, from bakery On The Bread Line11 Feb 201900:33:45

HELLO FOODIES,

This episode I have a chat with massively talented, great guy Sebastian Clough. Sebastian is a Baker and owner of Four Oaks bakery Onthebreadline. The bakery creates quality handcrafted baked goodies and breads. An interesting chat where we discuss taking a talent and skill, and turning it into a business.

Unfortunately when we organised a date to sit down and record this chat, i failed to notice that i had organised it for November 5th. Bonfire night. To make things worse, Sebastians bakery is across the road from a school which was holding a giant fireworks display. So a complete rookie error on my part, but its a learning curve. Thankfully the display finishes four minutes in, and we have a great little chat.

Ep5 Julia & Beatrice From Ju Ju's Cafe14 Jan 201900:33:53
HELLO FOODIES, This is one of the nicest chats i've had since starting this podcast. Julia, Beatrice and their team welcome all who visit their restaurant Ju Ju's Cafe as long lost relatives. That's exactly how i felt after finishing this podcast there. It was so good to hear their story, their love and passion for what they do really shines through. A real and genuine family run restaurant serving fresh home cooked comfort food in the heart of Birmingham, Ju Ju's is somewhere you have to visit. A few people getting in touch to ask what the banging sound is, the sound is from a very passionate restaurant owner banging the desk as she lovingly talks about her food. Also we did record at the restaurant while they were busy getting set up for dinner service so there was a bit of background noise.
