At the end of 2021, I decided that I wanted to take a month off of work. I set my systems in place, let everyone know that I would be taking a break, and began my staycation on June 1st. During my time off I learned some valuable and unexpected lessons. For example, I learned I have a lot more agency over my calendar than I thought. I also found that I enjoy writing and my social posts were having a higher impact than they used to. I was able to walk away for five weeks and return, refreshed and enriched, to my business without missing a beat. I officially returned to work on July 12th with a new excitement for what I do.
