Red Sox made big moves at the trade deadline and Hogdale joins the show to break it all down.

Hogdale and Iggy begin by giving their grades for the deadline and then assess each move. They debate whether the Red Sox overpaid for Adley Rutschman and if they sold too low on Marcelo Mayer. Then they discuss the moves that they wish Craig Breslow had made.

Lastly, they discuss how these moves made the Red Sox and if this helps their chances of making a deep playoff run.

Zack Scott spent 17 seasons in the Red Sox front office from 2004 to 2020 and he joins the show to share his experiences, especially at the trade deadline.

Zack begins by assessing the job of Craig Breslow so far and also grades the recent trade with Curtis Mead. He then breaks down the homework that's done before a trade and shares what happens behind-the-scenes to get a deal done.

He goes on to explain his experience being in the room when trades that involved Mookie Betts, Jon Lester, Manny Ramirez and Nomar Garciaparra went down. Also gives insight into the thought process that went into those moves and whether it's more difficult to trade MLB players for MLB players.

Zack then looks back at how the Red Sox front office and the involvement of ownership have evolved over time. Lastly, they discuss the current outfield logjam and Red Sox trades that almost happened, like Felix Hernandez and Roger Clemens.

Sean McAdam from MassLive and the Fenway Rundown joins the show. We start with the hard-hitting questions about whether Sean still believes that it's "nearly impossible" to see Craig Breslow keeping his job past 2026 and what Breslow needs to do to keep his job.

Jake and Sean then discuss how the Red Sox will approach the trade deadline and whether they'll likely target prospects or MLB-ready players. Staying on the deadline subject, we discuss if the Red Sox waited too long to trade Jarren Duran and if there will be any players dealt that might surprise people.

Continuing with injuries, they talk about whether Aroldis Chapman's nagging hamstring issues and recent struggles could impact his value at the trade deadline. Then Pete gives his thoughts on whether the Yankees sweep impacted if the Red Sox decide to buy or sell at the deadline.

Lastly, Jake and Pete discuss the environment of the Red Sox and specifically their front office that's been described as "not fun to work in."

Jake Storiale from Jomboy Media joins the show to discuss everything regarding the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry.

They started by reflecting on how things have changed for the Red Sox in the 2025 Wild Card series, and Jake gives his thoughts on the turnover at manager and potentially the front office position. Then they get into former Yankee players like IKF, Sonny Gray and Aroldis Chapman taking shots at New York and how tough it's been to see some of those players flourish with the Red Sox.

They then shifted focus to the comments that Red Sox CEO Sam Kennedy had at the start of the week on WEEI about the state of the Red Sox, Craig Breslow's job security and their plan for the trade deadline. This starts the debate over which Red Sox players are untouchable and who the Red Sox should deal if they're sellers at the deadline, bringing up players like Willson Contreras, Aroldis Chapman, Sonny Gray, Jarren Duran and more.

Tim Healey, Red Sox beat reporter for the Boston Globe, joins the show to discuss all the questions that everyone has surrounding Craig Breslow and the current state of the Red Sox's front office.

Jake and Tim start talking about whether Breslow could be fired during the season and if he'll be able still be the team's President of Baseball Operations at the trade deadline. Then dive into Breslow's reputation around the league and how his communication within the organization has evolved over the last few years.

Tim then sheds light on his report that Breslow might benefit from an English-to-English translator and explains Breslow's approach with model-based decision-making. On that subject, Tim explains if this approach has made it more difficult for other teams to work with Breslow and if it has made him overthink decisions.

Lastly, Tim gives his perspective on how the Breslow might potentially approach the trade deadline and which players he believes have the highest chance to be dealt.

Ari Alexander from Channel 7 News joins the show to discuss the massive struggles that the Red Sox have had when playing at Fenway Park. Jake and Ari start off by talking about a trade with the Pirates that Ari actually broke right before the recording. Then they talked through the quotes from Isiah Kiner-Falefa on why they've been struggling and try to figure out what he meant.

Then they dive into the situation with Brayan Bello after he struggles once again as a starter. They break down the big statistical differences and discuss how they should handle Bello going forward. (This was recorded before he was sent down to AAA)

Lastly they discuss the recent reports from Buster Onley and Jeff Passan on how the team will potentially approach the trade deadline.

Jake Iggy is joined by Ed Hand from Pod On The River and Dirty Water podcast to discuss the tough stretch the Red Sox have had when playing at home. Then they go into some potential changes that should be made in the bullpen.

Jake and Ed then dive into Craig Breslow's recent comments about the trade deadline and discuss how the Red Sox should approach a potential buy or sell plan. On the subject of trades, they talk about which Red Sox top prospects should be dealt to improve the MLB team.

Jake Ignaszewski talks about the possibility of Alfaro being called up to majors and breaks down how he's performed in Worcester so far this season.
