S16 Ep4: A Mexican Stand-Off with a (Now Deceased) Cat
Saison 16 · Épisode 4
jeudi 29 août 2024 • Durée 01:21:51
Ipswich were the 100th visitor to the Etihad Stadium since it opened in 2003, so we take a look at City's records - both good and bad - against the 99 other opponents they've faced.
James Jones from We Are West Ham drops in to help us preview the upcoming trip to the London Stadium - and we look at Guardiola's options on the wings, with the form of Jeremy Doku and Savinho, as Jack Grealish looks for chances to impress. We also focus on Rico Lewis and his start to the new season.
On top of that, following the sad news that the former City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson passed away this week, we dedicate the end of the show to remembering his time in the Eastlands dugout.

It looks like Ilkay Gundogan could be returning, too, so we look at how his arrival could affect the options in the squad and the make-up of Pep Guardiola's team selections.
It's Ipswich Town next - and the first meeting in the league between the teams since they relegated City from the Premier League in 2001. Mooney explains why, around that time, he utterly despised the club... and we discover if he's managed to let go of those old hang-ups with Rich from The Suffolk Crunch, who also tells us all about what to expect from Kieran McKenna's side on Saturday.

==========
After Manchester City's 4-2 win at Crystal Palace and 3-3 draw at Real Madrid, David Mooney is joined by City fans Chris Higginbottom and Bob Toole to discuss the performances, the character of the team, and where the results have left the club in their defence of both the Premier League and the Champions League titles.
With the tightness of the title race, how should Guardiola approach this weekend's game with Luton, especially with the looming spectre of the Real Madrid second leg on the horizon? We hear from Ollie from the We Are Luton Town podcast, who tells us all about their season so far, too.
Then we're putting match-by-match tickets into the spotlight. There's been controversy over season ticket price rises recently, but how are you affected as a fan who is only able to go to a few games each year? Listener David Lamb got in touch to explain his position, so we hear from him.

Saison 15 · Épisode 33
jeudi 14 mars 2024 • Durée 01:15:53
Why couldn't City capitalise on a strong first half display and what changed after the break? Were they lucky it wasn't a penalty on Alexis Mac Allister at the end? Were they unlucky not to win it when they hit the post and the bar? Lots to get into...
Then there's the overall experience of being a City fan... This week has suggested lots of people just don't understand what following City means to the supporters, so we dive into that off the back of Trent Alexander-Arnold's comments.
