The Coterie arrived at the Sunset Retirement Home to gather evidence and find those who had sent the frenzied attackers. Evangeline explained to Everett how they investigate crimes, Doris compelled Loreley Beerfass to reveal that it had not, in fact, been a “normal night” and Val broke into a locked shed only to find bloody symbols on the ground and a corpse, its flayed face contorted in a scream.

With a moment to breathe, the coterie were formally introduced and apprised Everett of the current situation: unless they can keep the town’s citizens under control, every mortal and Kindred alike will be liquidated. Furthermore, in addition to the dangers presented by the Children of Lilith and an influx of Kindred refugees putting stress on the town’s blood supply, the attack on the station seems to have originated from the Sunset Retirement Home. Can the coterie contain this new threat?

After being pounced by Emily's jealous mate, Iris (Megan Miles, @meggiemiles) was introduced to the rest of Emily's pack, including their leader Lycanan Greywood. Lycanan informed Iris that the street drug Drac has been creating unnatural werewolves and vampires and is linked to the demon Metathiax, the dark creature who dwells beneath Montreal (and occasionally has possessed Iris herself!). He enlists her help in stopping its flow and finding justice for Dominque Looney, the werewolf Iris killed in the Wild Hunt! With Emily beyond her reach, Iris returns to the coterie, where an unexpected visitor awaits...
