Work Confessions: Stockroom Naps to Changing Room Disasters05 Aug 202600:58:00

This week on Blame My Sis, we’re looking back at the jobs that built us and nearly broke us.

From shop floors to office life, we’re spilling it all. Ashley takes us back to her River Island days  being hungover taking a nap in the stockroom and being caught on camera . Claudine being underage working in the local Chinese, but it was worth the free curry tray at the end of the night.

Emma brings us from Tesco checkouts  days to working in a zoo and we relive the worst shifts, the times we nearly walked out and the most outrageous things customers have ever said to us. Ashley even shares her all-time worst shift ever involving a changing room toilet disaster having to clean. it up, she will never forget this!

Did these jobs shape how we treat people now? And would we ever go back and do any of them again?

It’s funny, relatable and it’ll have you thinking twice about every job you’ve ever had.

Body Image: We were raised by Diet Culture28 Jul 202600:52:29

This episode of Blame My Sis hits differently.

Ashley, Claudine, and Emma get real about body image in a way we never have online before. From being bullied, to feeling uncomfortable in our own skin, to Emma not even wanting to be here as a teenager.

We talk about growing up with toxic diet culture: Weight Watchers at 12, Special K “meal plans,” slimming pills, and the habits that shaped how we see ourselves to this day.

Ashley opens up about insecurities and the pressure of social media, while Claudine reflects on how those early experiences rewired her mindset around food and body image. It’s honest, a bit uncomfortable, and probably something a lot of you will relate to.

If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and not liked what you saw… this one’s for you.

This week on Blame My Sis, we dive right into the ins and outs of the "Influencer" world... and I think that word gives us all the ick.

From how we got started to what life behind the camera really looks like, we're answering all the questions people always ask but rarely get an honest answer to. Is it as glamorous as it seems? Does social media ever become overwhelming? Do we actually switch off, or are we always "on"?

We're chatting about the good, the bad, and everything in between from dealing with comments and online pressure to protecting our private lives while sharing so much online. We also talk about how social media can affect your mood, whether it gets to us, and how we handle those inevitable off days.

It's an honest, unfiltered conversation about the reality of creating content, building a career online, and everything that comes with it. No filters or fluff just the real story behind the screen.

Millenials v Gen Z: From Bebo to Tiktok08 Jul 202600:46:32

This week on Blame My Sis Podcast, Ashley chats about what’s new in her single life, Claudine and her work experience in the back of a Garda car and How Emma is navigating her first week in her 40s.

Then we dive into the differences between Millennials and Gen Z. How are they so different to us, and why do we suddenly feel like dinosaurs?

We’re talking Bebo, MSN Messenger, and uploading full albums from a night out on Facebook… back when getting ready meant gluing in your hair extensions and Dream Matte Mousse was the only makeup essential and the trauma of getting a complex over the Wii Fit. Compared to today’s 10-step skincare routines and camera phone to capture everything and wifi on hand not a dial up modum.

This episode is definatley trip down memory.

Holiday Carnage: Sun, Scandal & Ski Trip Trauma01 Jul 202600:43:40

This week on the pod, we’re taking you along for the questionable holiday choices we made when we were younger .

Claudine is in full carnage mode trying to survive holiday life with two kids, Ashley shares her very unexpected beach encounter with a massage therapist and Emma actually managed to switch off for once.

We’re also diving headfirst into nostalgia from the iconic 6th year holiday, when Emma’s friends somehow crashed a quad in Hersonissos, to all the unhinged antics of our 18 year old selves. And of course, we revisit the infamous ski trip: think blizzards, our Dad leaving Claudine stranded on a mountain and Ashley missing her boyfriend so much she nearly packed it in early.

We wrap things up with our ultimate bucket list destinations… and the places we absolutely would not go back to.

It’s hilarious and definatley relatable.

Dating Disasters: Ghosted, Lies & Traumatised.24 Jun 202600:45:58

Get ready for one of our wildest episodes yet…

Ashley shares the story of a guy who wasn’t just a red flag he was an entire circus. From lying about his job to completely faking who he was, she somehow ended up stuck spending an entire weekend with him.

Emma’s story? Equally unhinged. A guy secretly had a portrait drawn of her (yes, without her knowing… creepy), then ghosted her with the excuse that he’d been in a car crash all while still watching her Instagram stories 👀

We’re unpacking the chaos, the lies, the delusion, and the “how did we not run sooner” moments, we actually learnt from them all. And of course, Claudine is giving her honest take on all of it.

If you’ve ever had a dating disaster, this episode will make you laugh and think… dating is actually the Hunger Games at this point.

This week on Blame My Sis...

Ashley chats about her kitchen being completely hijacked by blue bottles and having to call in the exterminator when she realised there was something else lurking that definitely wasn't paying rent. Claudine gives us an update on married life and, for once, managed not to give in during a little tiff with her husband. Meanwhile, Emma headed to Tramore for a weekend of sunshine, fun, and perhaps one drink too many, ending the night seeing triple. We'll blame the gorgeous weather for that one.

The Topic of the week taking a trip down memory lane to our CLUBBING days. Remember getting ready in a tiny bedroom packed with friends, straighteners, fake tan, and enough hairspray to damage the ozone layer? We're talking about the iconic outfits, the giant dream catcher earrings, the sky-high heels, and spending hours getting ready before a night out. Back when €20 in your pocket was enough for a night out.

We're reliving the nights out at Barcode, Club M , The Wright Venue, sharing stories of the antics we got up too . From the pre-drinks to the dance floors, the hangovers to the hilarious memories, it's a nostalgic look back at the chaos, craic, and unforgettable memories we had.

The Emotional Rollercoaster: Where we thought we’d be in life19 Aug 202600:48:46

It is the season finale of Blame My Sis...

And we’re ending on the most emotional and honest conversation yet. This week, we’re talking about “Where We Thought We’d Be in Life” the relationships, careers, families and timelines we once imagined for ourselves… and how different life can sometimes look.

Ashley opens up about her healing journey and coming to terms with where she thought she would be by now. Claudine shares the gratitude she has for her life, while being honest about how hard it can be watching the people you love struggle. And Emma opens up about convincing herself for years that she didn’t want children, only to realise how complicated those feelings really were and the grief that comes with wondering if motherhood might not happen.

There were tears, a lot of honesty and conversations and it feels like the perfect episode to end this season on.

Red Flags, Green Flags and ICKS.12 Aug 202600:52:13

This episode of Blame My Sis is all about red flags, green flags and the ICKS and this time, it’s all coming from you.

We asked listeners to send in their biggest relationship red flags, green flags and most irrational ICKS, and this week we’re reading through them all and giving our very honest opinions.

We’ve got Instagram followings that look more like a nail bar, questionable communication skills, skinny jeans and plenty of other very specific icks that may or may not be completely fair.

Claudine talks us through her marriage icks, Emma gets into the green flags she looks for in a relationship, and Ashley tells the story of the time she needed to get to a polling station and somehow ended up in Des Bishop’s car which then led to a date the following week.

From the very valid to the absolutely ridiculous, we’re talking through them all.
