| Episode 1- Why Are We So Bloody Scared Of Birth? | 17 Jun 2026 | 00:20:26 | |
🎙️ EPISODE 1: Why Are We So Bloody Scared Of Birth? Why are so many women terrified of birth? Not because they're weak. In this first episode, I'm diving into why we've been conditioned to fear birth from childhood and how years of dramatic TV, horror stories, movies and panic-filled birth scenes have shaped the way we think about labour. Because fear isn't something you're born with. It's something you've been taught. And the good news? You can unlearn it. Inside this episode we'll talk about: ✨ Why so many women fear birth If you're pregnant and want to feel calm, confident and fearless about birth, you're in the right place. 💗 Grab my FREE Birth Confidence Session 🔥 Learn more about The Calm AF Birth Course & The Fearless Birth Method: 📱 Come and say hi: Instagram: TikTok: 💌 Join thousands of mums preparing for positive, powerful births and remember: You don't need fixing. | Episode 2 - Tokophobia, Trauma and the births that changed everything! | 17 Jun 2026 | 00:21:24
Before I became a birth coach supporting thousands of women through pregnancy and birth, I was absolutely terrified of birth. I had tokophobia (an intense fear of pregnancy and childbirth), severe medical anxiety, vaginismus and trauma from a previous abusive relationship. I worked in the NHS and still managed to pass out at the sight of blood, needles and anything remotely medical. So when I saw those two pink lines, my first thought wasn't excitement. It was panic. In this episode, I'm sharing the story behind Bump 2 Babies UK, how therapy and hypnobirthing changed my life, my experience with postnatal depression and why I'm so passionate about helping women build birth confidence today. If you're scared of birth, overwhelmed by pregnancy or wondering whether confidence is something you'll ever feel, this episode is for you. Because birth confidence isn't something you're born with. It's something you build. Babe, I've got you. | Episode 3 - What If I Can't Cope With Labour? | 22 Jun 2026 | 00:17:00
EPISODE 3: What If I Can't Cope With Labour? "What if I panic?" "What if I lose control?" "What if I can't do this?" If you've ever had those thoughts, my girl, you are so not alone. In this episode, we're talking about one of the biggest fears women carry into birth: the fear of not coping. Because here's the truth… You don't need to be fearless. You don't need to have the "perfect" birth. And you definitely don't need to become some magical birth goddess to have an incredible experience. We'll chat about: 💗 Why the pressure to have the "perfect" birth is exhausting Whether your dream birth involves a pool and fairy lights, an epidural and plenty of snacks, or a planned caesarean where you feel calm and informed, this episode is your reminder that there are a thousand ways to have an incredible birth. And every single one of them counts. ✨ Grab your FREE Calm AF Birth Confidence Session 🎓 Birth courses and support: 📱 Come and hang out with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bump2babiesuk/ 🎧 If this episode made you think, "Bloody hell, I needed to hear that," please leave a review and share it with your pregnant bestie. In this deeply honest conversation, I'm joined by author, content creator and mum-to-be, Jade Marrey. This episode is a real full-circle moment for me. Long before Bump 2 Babies existed, I was watching Jade's YouTube videos during my fitness journey. Years later, I now have the privilege of supporting Jade as she prepares for the birth of her first baby. We talk about feeling lost, trusting your intuition, healing from the past, taking brave leaps, and how pregnancy has a way of bringing us back to ourselves. We also dive into my own experiences of losing my identity through postnatal depression, rebuilding my confidence, and the lessons I've learned from supporting hundreds of women preparing for birth. In this episode, we cover: • Why so many women feel like they've lost themselves and how to find your way back. • The identity shift that begins long before your baby is born • Trusting your intuition when everyone has an opinion. • The difference between performing for others and living authentically. • Healing family dynamics and breaking generational cycles. • Breathwork, shadow work and personal healing. • Building a community that supports the woman you're becoming. • Preparing for birth with confidence instead of fear. • Why birth isn't just the day your baby is born it's the day a mother is born too. | Episode 4 - Why Every Pregnant Woman Needs a Birth Plan (Even If Birth Doesn't Go to Plan) | 30 Jun 2026 | 00:37:56
You've probably heard someone say... "There's no point writing a birth plan because birth never goes to plan anyway." Honestly? It's some of the worst advice pregnant women are given. Because a birth plan isn't about controlling birth. It's about understanding your options, knowing your rights, communicating your wishes and protecting your experience—whatever path your birth takes. In this episode of Birth, Babe., I'm completely changing the way you think about birth plans. We'll talk about why the real power isn't the document itself it's the preparation that happens while you're creating it. Whether you're planning a home birth, hospital birth, induction or caesarean, this episode will help you feel calmer, more informed and more confident walking into labour. ✨ Why birth plans are so often misunderstood Because birth shouldn't be something that happens to you. It should be something you actively participate in. 💗 Birth confidence isn't something you're born with. It's something you build. If this episode helped you, I'd love it if you could leave a review, subscribe and share it with a pregnant friend. It really helps Birth, Babe. reach more women who deserve to feel informed, supported and confident about birth. ✨ Come and say hello: Website: www.bump2babiesuk.com
