How to Build Stronger Bones with Professor Belinda Beck18 oct. 202600:43:01

Bone health is something many of us don’t think about until we’re faced with low bone density, osteoporosis or an unexpected fracture. But what if we could take steps today to protect our strength, mobility and independence for years to come?

In this episode, Belinda is joined by Professor Belinda Beck, leading bone health researcher, exercise physiologist and founder of The Bone Clinic, to explore what really makes our bones stronger and why it’s never too early or too late to start looking after them.

We unpack the impact of menopause on bone density, the difference between osteopenia, osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, and why traditional exercise like walking, swimming, Pilates and yoga are not be enough to build stronger bones.

Belinda also shares the research behind her evidence-based Onero™ exercise program and how supervised resistance training and impact exercise can help improve bone strength, even for those already living with osteoporosis.

We talk about:

• Why bone health matters at every stage of life

• How menopause and declining oestrogen affect bone density

• The difference between osteoporosis, osteopenia and osteoarthritis

• Common risk factors for declining bone health

• When to consider a DEXA bone density scan

• The importance of calcium, vitamin D and nutrition

• Why lifting weights and impact exercise are essential for stronger bones

• How targeted exercise can help people living with osteoporosis

• The connection between bone strength, healthy ageing and independence

If you want to protect your bones, stay strong as you age and understand what you can do to improve your bone health, this conversation is a great place to start.

Belinda sits down with Olympic gold medallist, world record holder and mum of five Libby Trickett for an honest conversation about identity, motherhood, mental health, anxiety, resilience and the heart attack she had just two months after giving birth to her fifth child, after her symptoms were initially dismissed as anxiety.

Libby opens up about growing up around mental illness and addiction, being estranged from her father, the impact her upbringing had on her relationships and self-worth, and the pressure she put on herself to keep achieving.

We talk about:

  • Learning to actually own your achievements instead of immediately moving on to the next goal
  • Growing up with mental illness, addiction and an absent father
  • How childhood experiences can shape adult relationships and the need for validation
  • Motherhood, postnatal depression and raising five children
  • The heart attack Libby experienced two months after giving birth to her fifth child
  • Why her symptoms were initially dismissed as anxiety
  • SCAD and the lack of awareness around women’s heart health
  • Why seeing her daughter come dead last was one of her favourite parenting moments
  • Raising kids to love movement without making it about performance
  • Losing your identity after retiring from elite sport
  • Why Libby still considers herself a work in progress

And despite everything Libby has already achieved, when asked about her greatest achievement, her answer is not what you might expect. She believes the best may still be ahead of her.

Perimenopause, Menopause, HRT & Weight Loss with Dr Christine Greenwood04 oct. 202600:54:53

Perimenopause and menopause can affect far more than your cycle, from sleep, mood and anxiety to libido, weight, bone health and overall wellbeing.

In this episode, Belinda sits down with Women’s Health GP Dr Christine Greenwood for a conversation about perimenopause, menopause and post-menopausal care. They talk about HRT, hormones, nutrition, weight loss, exercise, supplements and the health checks women should be thinking about in midlife. Christine specialises in helping women navigate this stage of life with a practical, evidence-based approach.

We talk about:

  • The early signs of perimenopause and why they can be easy to miss
  • Anxiety, irritability, sleep changes, low libido and changes to your cycle
  • Why some women are prescribed antidepressants before hormones are considered
  • The history of fear around HRT and how treatment has changed
  • Oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone and what each hormone does
  • What the current evidence tells us about HRT and bone, brain and cardiovascular health
  • Vaginal oestrogen and its role in dryness, painful sex and recurrent UTIs
  • Why healthy eating and eating for fat loss are not always the same thing
  • The role of strength training, cardio and movement in midlife
  • Important health checks for women, including blood tests, mammograms, cervical screening and bone density
  • Supplements that may support women through this stage
  • Why getting help early can make such a difference

More than anything, this conversation is a reminder that perimenopause and menopause don’t have to be something women simply endure. Understanding what’s happening and having the right support can make a significant difference to your health, strength and quality of life.

How You Start and End Your Day Shapes Your Life13 sept. 202600:33:39

In this solo episode, Belinda explores how the way we start and end our day influences what we think about, how we feel, what we focus on, and how what we repeatedly give our attention to doesn’t just fill our day, it shapes our life.

It’s not about creating the perfect morning or evening routine. It’s about becoming more intentional about what we allow into our minds, particularly in those first and final moments of the day.

From reaching for your phone first thing in the morning to taking the stimulation of the day into bed at night, Belinda looks at the impact of constant consumption, distraction and the stories we repeatedly tell ourselves.

We explore:

  • Why your day starts with what you give your attention to, not when you get out of bed
  • How reaching for your phone first thing can shape what your mind focuses on
  • Why natural morning light is important for your body clock, sleep, and mental health
  • How what you repeatedly consume can become the environment you create for your mind
  • Why boredom, silence and creating mental space can be valuable
  • How brain rot and constant stimulation can contribute to mental fatigue and difficulty concentrating
  • Why the way you end your day can affect how you wind down for sleep
  • How writing things down can help you put tomorrow’s problems down for the night
  • The importance of paying attention to the people, content, conversations and environments influencing you
  • Why the way you speak to yourself matters
  • A simple five-minute morning and evening ritual

Your attention is one of the most valuable things you have. If you don’t consciously choose where it goes, there’s no shortage of people, platforms and outside noise that will happily choose it for you.

Sometimes changing your life isn’t about adding more. It’s about becoming more selective about what you allow in.

In this episode, Belinda sits down with coach Nick McCallum, owner of Outlier Performance, to unpack a different way of looking at pain, training and movement, and why understanding joint position, posture and the way we train can make such a difference to how our bodies move, function and feel.

Nick shares his perspective on back pain, pelvic control, stretching, glute and posterior-chain strength, the role of the nervous system, and why a diagnosis doesn’t necessarily define what your body is capable of.

We cover:

  • Why pain isn’t always coming from where you feel it
  • The connection between posture, joint position and pain
  • Common training mistakes that may reinforce dysfunction
  • Why back pain can be linked to pelvic position and muscle imbalance
  • The importance of glutes, hamstrings and abdominal strength
  • Stretching, mobility and reducing muscular tension
  • Why you shouldn’t become defined by an MRI or diagnosis
  • Why strength training matters
  • Rebuilding movement and coordination after experiencing pain
  • Nick’s perspective on peptides and why they shouldn’t replace addressing the underlying biomechanics

A valuable conversation that will have you thinking differently about pain, movement, strength and how you train.

Episode 84: Domestic Violence and Emotional Abuse: Recognising the Signs16 août 202600:49:22

Content warning: This episode discusses domestic violence, emotional abuse, coercive control, drug use and stalking.

Belinda sits down with Lauren Jane, founder of Find My Wild, to have an important and honest conversation about domestic violence and emotional abuse.

For years, Lauren was in an abusive relationship without recognising that what she was experiencing was domestic violence. She shares the moment her doctor helped her understand what was happening, what it took to leave with her children, and the challenges of rebuilding her life afterwards.

We also talk about recognising the signs of emotional and coercive abuse, how unhealthy patterns can become familiar, learning to trust yourself again, and the way Lauren realised she had started to become her own abuser through how she spoke to and treated herself.

Lauren’s experience ultimately led her to create Find My Wild, a survivor-led not-for-profit organisation and support platform in Australia providing free resources, community and guidance for people experiencing, leaving, or rebuilding their lives after domestic violence and emotional abuse.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • The early warning signs of emotional and coercive abuse
  • The moment Lauren realised she needed to leave
  • What life can look like after leaving an abusive relationship
  • Rebuilding your identity and learning to trust yourself again
  • How unhealthy behaviours can become familiar and feel normal
  • Why asking “Why didn’t you just leave?” can be so damaging
  • Lauren's WILD framework for supporting someone experiencing abuse
  • The story behind Find My Wild and its free app
  • WILD Conversations and Lauren’s next chapter
  • Creating safety, financial independence and a plan for leaving

If this episode brings someone to mind, consider sharing it with them gently. Sometimes simply knowing that someone believes you, sees you and is there when you’re ready to talk can make an enormous difference.

Episode 83: Motherless at 7, Breast Cancer at 20, Learning to Rebuild Yourself09 août 202600:59:44

Belinda sits down with Bianca Innes to discuss resilience, grief and rebuilding yourself after life-changing adversity.

At four years old, Bianca’s mother left the family after struggling with alcoholism and depression. Three years later, when Bianca was just seven, her mother passed away, leaving her to be raised by her dad and older brother.

At just 20, Bianca became the youngest person in Australia to be diagnosed with Stage 2B Grade 3 triple positive breast cancer. The diagnosis led to medically induced menopause and she was told she may never have children.

Bianca shares what it was like to have her symptoms dismissed, navigate cancer treatment, become a mother against the odds, and rebuild again after losing her brother in adulthood. This is a conversation about grief, resilience, identity and the quiet strength it takes to keep moving forward when life keeps changing the path beneath you.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • Losing a mother in childhood and navigating the mother wound
  • Advocating for yourself when you know something isn’t right
  • Being diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer at just 20
  • Medically induced menopause and its impact on identity and mental health
  • Becoming a mother after being told it may never happen
  • Losing a sibling and learning to live alongside grief
  • Rebuilding your identity after trauma
  • Using writing and journaling to process grief and emotions
  • Why kindness and one genuine conversation can change someone’s life

Sometimes life asks us to rebuild more than once. This conversation is a reminder that while we can’t choose every chapter, we can choose what we do with the story from here.

Episode 82: Families Don’t Heal Because Everyone Shows Up for Dinner02 août 202600:22:10

In this solo episode, Belinda explores one of the biggest misconceptions about family relationships: that talking again, showing up for family dinners, or smiling for the family photo means healing has happened.

Real healing isn’t about avoiding difficult conversations or pretending the past never happened. It’s about acknowledging hurt, rebuilding trust, and understanding the difference between reconciliation and repair.

Whether you’re navigating family conflict, estrangement, or simply wanting healthier relationships, this episode will give you a new way of looking at what actually creates lasting connection.

We explore:

  • Why reconciliation and repair are two very different things
  • The difference between peacekeeping and peacemaking
  • Why every healthy relationship experiences ruptures
  • What genuine repair looks like and why trust is rebuilt through actions, not word
  • Why intentions don’t erase impact
  • How curiosity creates more connection than defensiveness
  • Why not every relationship can be repaired, and why that’s not always yours to carry
  • Questions to help you reflect on the health of your own relationships

Healthy relationships aren’t measured by how many family photos you have together. They’re measured by whether people feel safe enough to be honest with each other.

If you’ve ever wondered why a relationship still feels distant, even though you’re talking again, this episode will help you understand why.

Episode 80: Your Genes Aren’t Your Destiny: The Truth About Epigenetics19 juil. 202600:54:59

Why can two people experience similar childhoods, do similar healing work, make similar lifestyle changes, and yet have completely different experiences when it comes to stress, anxiety, burnout, energy and recovery?

In this episode, Belinda sits down with epigenetic longevity strategist Chris Barnes to explore how our genes, biology and environment influence the way we experience stress, anxiety, burnout, energy, recovery and healthy ageing.

Chris shares his personal journey with chronic anxiety, sleep issues and night terrors, and how understanding his own genetics helped him realise that what he once believed was a character flaw was actually his biology needing different support.

Together, they explore what epigenetics actually means, why our genes are not our destiny, and how our daily choices - from nervous system regulation, sleep and movement to food, sunlight, relationships and environment can influence the way our genes are expressed.

What we cover:

  • What epigenetics is and why it matters
  • The difference between genetics and epigenetics
  • Why two people can experience stress, anxiety and healing so differently
  • How biology can influence mood, energy, dopamine and serotonin
  • Why one-size-fits-all health advice doesn’t work for everyone
  • The role of genetic testing in understanding your body
  • How lifestyle choices can influence gene expression
  • The difference between biological age and chronological age
  • Why health span and quality of life matter more than simply living longer

This episode is a reminder that healing isn’t always about trying harder or doing more. Sometimes, the missing piece is understanding your biology, getting curious about what your body actually needs, and making small daily choices that support your long-term health and wellbeing.

Keri shares why symptoms like exhaustion, anxiety, sleep disruption, weight gain, hot flushes, overwhelm and feeling “not like yourself” are often connected to changes in our hormones, nervous system and overall health, not simply getting older.

Together, they explore why women have been conditioned to push through for so long, why quick fixes don’t always work, and how this season of life can become an invitation to slow down, listen to your body and support yourself differently.

What we cover:

• What perimenopause is and when it can begin

• The signs and symptoms many women don’t realise are connected to perimenopause

• Why burnout in earlier years can show up more strongly in midlife

• The connection between hormones, stress, anxiety and the nervous system

• Why sleep, energy and weight often change during this stage of life

• How Traditional Chinese Medicine views women’s health and ageing

• Why HRT can be helpful, but isn’t always the full picture

• Small, practical ways to better support your body through this transition

This episode is a reminder that you’re not broken, failing or imagining what you’re feeling. Perimenopause can feel confusing and confronting, but it can also become an opportunity to better understand your body, support your health and move into the next season of life with greater awareness, confidence and self-trust.

In this episode, Belinda sits down with Karlye Williamson, a Mental Health Occupational Therapist who helps people better understand what is happening in their body when they feel anxious, overwhelmed, tense, disconnected or caught in patterns of overthinking.

Karlye shares how her own experience with chronic back pain after having her first child led her to discover Stretch Therapy, a turning point that completely changed the way she understood pain, movement, mental health and the nervous system.

Together, Belinda and Karlye break down nervous system regulation in a simple, practical and easy-to-understand way. They explore why regulation isn’t about being calm all the time, how to recognise when your body is in fight, flight or shutdown, and the small everyday tools that can help you feel safer, more connected and better equipped to handle life’s challenges.

They also discuss why talk therapy alone is not always enough, the growing understanding of body-based approaches to healing, and practical strategies for managing overthinking, stress and nervous system dysregulation.

  • The powerful influence our environment has on our nervous system
  • Why healing isn’t always about thinking differently, but also about what needs to happen in the body

Episode 74: I Was a Stay-at-Home Mum Who Accidentally Built a 7-Figure Business07 juin 202600:35:51

In this solo episode, I’m sharing a more personal side of my story, how I accidentally built a seven-figure business, ran more than 80 retreats across Australia, Bali and Fiji, and why I’ve made the decision to press pause on retreats in 2027.

This isn’t really an episode about business. It’s about intuition, trust, change, and learning to follow the internal nudges before you know exactly where they’re leading.

I talk about starting out as a stay-at-home mum, waking from a vivid dream that led me to write my first book, choosing to self-publish instead of handing over control, and how one unexpected conversation in a hotel gym in Fiji opened the door to my very first retreat.

What began as a one-off experience slowly became something much bigger, not through advertising, business plans or strategy, but through connection, word of mouth and simply saying yes to what felt aligned.

I also share why I’m feeling increasingly disconnected from parts of the healing space online, where vulnerability, trauma and personal growth can sometimes feel packaged for engagement rather than genuine connection.

This episode is a reminder that you don’t need to have your whole life figured out before you begin. Sometimes clarity comes after the decision, not before it.

Together, they unpack what “doing the work” really means beyond surface-level motivation, learning to interrupt old patterns, regulate emotions, take accountability, and heal the wounded parts of ourselves that often show up in parenting, relationships, and co-parenting.

Episode 70: A Mother–Son Conversation on Endurance, Men’s Mental Health & Growth10 mai 202600:35:58

Belinda sits down with her eldest son Hayden, just weeks after his 24th birthday and fresh off completing a 24-hour endurance challenge for men’s mental health.

What started as a physical test quickly became something much deeper. Hayden opens up about pushing through pain, self-doubt, vulnerability, and the mental stories that arise when the body is exhausted and the mind is stripped back.

They also explore why he took part in the Dads4Dads challenge despite not being a father, family, growing up, the influence of environment, learning through mistakes, and what it means to become proud of who you are becoming.

In this episode, we cover:

  • Why Hayden said yes to a 24-hour endurance challenge for men’s mental health
  • The hardest physical and mental moments of the challenge
  • What vulnerability looked like surrounded by other men
  • Lessons from Kokoda and endurance training
  • How family, environment and life experiences shaped him
  • The power of listening instead of fixing
  • A raw mother–son conversation about growth, mistakes and self-pride

With Mother’s Day approaching, Belinda also puts Hayden on the spot and asks: “What do you think I’ve done well as a mum?”

This episode is a reminder that hard things don’t just test us physically - they reveal who we are, what we’re carrying, and who we’re becoming.

Episode 69: Adult Children Don’t Distance Themselves for No Reason03 mai 202600:18:22

In this episode, Belinda speaks to something that can feel uncomfortable… but matters.

You don’t get your real parenting feedback when your kids are little. You get it later… when they have their own life, their own voice, and the choice of how much of you they want in it.

And that part doesn’t happen by accident.

This isn’t about being a perfect parent. It’s about something deeper - the connection, the safety, and the relationship that’s built over time… in the small moments, in how you respond, and in how you make your kids feel.

Because there’s a difference between a relationship built on obligation, and one built on real connection.

We explore:

  • Why adult children don’t just “pull away for no reason”
  • The difference between obligation and genuine connection
  • How emotional safety (or lack of it) shapes long-term relationships
  • The subtle ways distance starts to build over time
  • Why love alone isn’t always enough to create closeness
  • The role of rupture and repair in keeping connection strong
  • Why what’s not acknowledged often matters more than what happened

This episode isn’t about blame. It’s about awareness.

Whether you’re listening as a parent or as the adult child, it’s an invitation to look at what feels easy… what feels forced… and what might still be sitting under the surface.

Because in the end, it’s not just about raising kids.

It’s about the relationship that exists when they no longer need you… and whether that relationship is something that’s chosen.

Episode 68: You Don’t Heal by Drinking, Numbing or Escaping Yourself26 avr. 202600:18:42

In this solo episode, Belinda breaks down a post that reached over 100,000 people, not because it was controversial, but because it hit something real.

We explore the difference between healing and the things that look like relief… drinking, drugs, staying busy, constant distraction, surface-level connection, and why so many people don’t realise they’re actually avoiding themselves.

Because healing doesn’t happen in escape. It happens in truth, stillness, honesty, and real connection.

In this episode, we explore:

  • The difference between choosing something, and needing it to cope
  • How distraction becomes normal, and why so many people don’t question it
  • Why you can be surrounded by people and still feel disconnected
  • The gap between surface-level conversations and real connection
  • Why stillness feels uncomfortable, and what comes up when things go quiet
  • Relief vs healing: why one keeps you stuck and the other moves you forward
  • “You can’t outrun it”… how unprocessed emotions continue to show up
  • Why people feel stuck even when it looks like they’re “doing the work”
  • The truth about sitting with your emotions instead of numbing them
  • How your environment and the people around you either support your growth, or keep you where you are
  • Honest questions to help you recognise your own patterns and behaviours

If you’ve been keeping yourself busy, distracted, or constantly reaching for something to avoid what’s underneath… this episode will help you see it clearly. And once you see your patterns… you can’t unsee them.

Episode 67: The Stress That Grows You vs The Stress That Drains You19 avr. 202600:19:47

In this solo episode, Belinda breaks down the difference between good stress and bad stress, and why not all stress is harmful.

Your body is designed for stress. In the right amount, it helps you grow, build resilience, and expand your capacity. But when it’s constant, layered, and without recovery, it starts to drain you, dysregulate your system, and lead to burnout.

This episode will help you understand the difference, recognise your own edge, and learn how to work with stress in a way that supports you, not breaks you.

We explore:

  • The difference between good stress and bad stress
  • Why stress itself isn’t the problem
  • How stress becomes harmful when it’s ongoing and without recovery
  • The concept of your “edge” and building capacity over time
  • Why pushing too far leads to burnout and avoiding discomfort keeps you stuck
  • Simple ways to recognise whether stress is helping or harming you

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or constantly “on”… this will give you a clearer way to understand what’s actually going on.

Because you don’t need less stress. You just need the right kind.

Episode 66: The Best & Worst Thing for Your Nervous System: Your Environment & the People Around You12 avr. 202600:19:54

In this solo episode, Belinda explores why you can be doing all the “right” things and still feel stuck. Because healing isn’t just about what you do internally, it’s also about your environment and the people around you.

Your nervous system is constantly adapting to what surrounds you. So if you’re moving between moments of calm and environments that feel tense, chaotic, or unsafe… your body will keep shifting back into survival mode. This episode will help you understand why.

We explore:

  • Why you feel like you’re making progress… then slipping back
  • How your environment shapes your nervous system more than your intentions
  • The “clean vs dirty fishbowl” concept
  • Why your body is responding, not failing
  • Co-regulation, co-dysregulation, mirror neurons, and the impact of the people around you
  • The difference between environments that challenge you vs drain and dysregulate you
  • How your internal work can start to shift your external world
  • Practical, realistic ways to create more safety in your everyday life, even if you can’t change your environment yet

If you’ve ever thought, “Why can’t I hold onto this version of me?” this will give you a different perspective.

Episode 65: Stop Letting the News Control Your Nervous System05 avr. 202600:18:26

In this solo episode, Belinda explores how constant exposure to news, global events, and fear-based messaging is impacting your nervous system, and often without you even realising it.

We’re living in a time where we’re not just informed… we’re immersed. And when your attention is constantly on chaos, uncertainty, and division, your body starts to feel like it’s living in it. This episode isn’t about ignoring the world. It’s about learning how to observe without absorbing and becoming overwhelmed.

We explore:

  • Why the world has always felt uncertain, but our consumption has changed
  • How constant exposure to news keeps your nervous system in a stress response
  • The difference between being aware vs being emotionally consumed
  • Why fear-based messaging is so powerful on a dysregulated system
  • How collective trauma shows up in real time
  • The impact of what you focus on (and your brain’s filtering system)
  • Why “what you consume, consumes you”
  • Simple, practical ways to stay informed without staying in fear
  • How to come back to your body, your environment, and what you can actually control

Episode 64: Small T, Big T & Everything In Between: What Trauma Really Is29 mars 202600:22:07

In this solo episode, Belinda explores what trauma really is, and why it’s often misunderstood.

When most people hear the word trauma, they think of something extreme or obvious. But trauma isn’t defined by the event itself, it’s defined by how it was experienced in your body.

This episode invites you to look beyond labels like “big” or “small” trauma, and instead understand how your nervous system has adapted to what you’ve lived through. Because sometimes… it’s not about what happened. It’s about what didn’t.

We explore:

  • Why trauma is about your internal experience, not just the external event
  • The difference between explicit (remembered) and implicit (felt) memory
  • Why many people believe “nothing happened to me”… but still feel anxious or on edge
  • How trauma isn’t always about what happened, but what was missing
  • Developmental, acute (shock), pre-verbal, complex, intergenerational, and collective trauma
  • How your nervous system adapts through fight, flight, freeze, and fawn
  • Why trauma is stored in the body, not always as a clear story
  • How unprocessed survival responses continue to show up in adult life
  • The connection between trauma, patterns, relationships, and physical symptoms
  • Why awareness—not blame—is where healing begins
  • How to shift from “What’s wrong with me?” to “What happened to me?”

This episode explores trauma, nervous system regulation, emotional patterns, and how your past experiences continue to shape your present—often in ways you don’t consciously realise.

If you’ve ever felt like “nothing bad happened” but still find yourself feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns you can’t explain… this episode will help you understand why.

Episode 63: Burnout, Breakthroughs & Saying Yes to Yourself: A Retreat Guest’s Journey with Gemma Hudson22 mars 202600:57:46

In this episode of Beyond The Surface, Belinda is joined by Gemma Hudson, a past retreat guest who shares her journey from burnout to breakthrough.

Gemma opens up about her mum leaving when she was just three, how that unconsciously shaped her independence, identity, and the way she moved through life. In her early 30s, she made the decision to become estranged from her. Eight years later, when her mum was dying, Gemma chose not to reconnect.

On the outside, Gemma had built the “perfect” life - a successful corporate career and the version of success she had always been shown. But underneath, her body was sending signals she continued to ignore… until burnout forced her to stop and question it all.

Through coaching, personal growth, and attending Belinda’s women’s retreat and couples retreat with her husband, Gemma began reconnecting with her intuition, her emotions, her feminine energy, and her body, and with that, a deeper sense of who she truly is.

By learning to listen to herself, embracing vulnerability, and choosing to live in alignment, Gemma went on to retrain as a counsellor and coach, now supporting women in meaningful and purposeful ways.

This conversation explores burnout, childhood experiences, estrangement, boundaries, unconscious patterns, and the power of coming back to yourself.

If your life looks right on the outside but doesn’t feel right on the inside, this episode will resonate deeply.

Episode 61: Why You Can’t Make a Decision (And What It’s Really About)08 mars 202600:20:27

In this solo episode, Belinda shares why decision making can feel so difficult, and why indecision is often less about logic and more about what’s happening in the nervous system.

If you’ve ever felt stuck between two choices, overthinking every outcome or constantly asking others for advice, this episode will help you understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.

We explore:

  • Why indecision is often a nervous system protection response
  • Decision fatigue and why choices feel harder when you’re overwhelmed
  • The fear of regret and how it keeps people stuck
  • How perfectionism can show up as decision paralysis
  • Why clarity often comes after action, not before it
  • How small decisions help rebuild self-trust

This episode explores decision making, nervous system regulation, overcoming indecision, building self-trust, and understanding the psychology behind why making decisions can feel so hard.

Episode 60: From Lawyer to 8-Figure Entrepreneur: Georgie Stevenson on Manifestation, Money & Motherhood01 mars 202600:59:08

In this powerful conversation, Belinda sits down with Georgie Stevenson, founder of Naked Harvest and Rise & Conquer, to explore how she followed an internal “nudge” to walk away from a safe career as a lawyer and build multiple seven and eight-figure businesses.

Georgie shares what life looked like before the success…feeling lost in her early 20s, choosing law without true alignment, and having the courage to leave security behind to follow a creative pull. What began as documenting her fitness journey online eventually evolved into launching Naked Harvest with her brother, building a female-focused supplement brand rooted in integrity, and creating a global personal development platform through Rise & Conquer.

In this episode, we explore:

  • Leaving law to follow intuition and build from scratch
  • Creating an 8-figure wellness brand with no investors
  • Manifestation beyond vision boards and affirmations — identity, inner work, and nervous system regulation
  • Rewriting money stories and expanding your wealth capacity
  • How she balances entrepreneurship, family, and motherhood
  • How motherhood has shifted the way she sees life
  • Navigating judgment, visibility, online growth and being one of the first “influencers”
  • Why investing in yourself delivers the greatest return ROI

If you’ve ever felt the pull for more but questioned whether it’s possible for you, this episode will remind you that growth starts internally, and the nudges you feel are there for a reason.

In this solo episode, Belinda explores the powerful truth behind the phrase “If nothing changes, nothing changes.

You say you want change, but find yourself repeating the same patterns, reactions, and choices.

Belinda explains why change feels hard and not from a motivation or “just think positive” lens, but from a nervous system and subconscious perspective.

Because change isn’t just a mindset shift. It’s a body shift. A pattern shift. An identity shift.

You’ll learn how familiarity, survival mode, and subconscious programming keep you stuck in cycles,  even when you truly want different.

Belinda shares personal stories, real-life examples, and practical reflections to help you understand how safety, capacity, and small repeated actions retrain your system for growth.

In this episode, we explore:

  • Why the subconscious chooses familiar over healthy
  • How the nervous system resists unfamiliar change
  • The role of identity in lasting transformation
  • Why change is a practice, not a decision
  • How building capacity helps you tolerate discomfort
  • The link between regulation and perception
  • Self-reflection questions to interrupt old patterns
  • A simple embodiment exercise to reconnect with yourself

Trigger warning: This episode discusses childhood sexual abuse, incest, trauma, and healing which may be confronting or activating for some listeners. Please listen with care.

In this deeply vulnerable and powerful conversation, Belinda sits down with trauma survivor, author, advocate, and breathwork facilitator Caroline Brunne, alongside her award-winning therapy Border Collie Louie, recently named Australia Dog of the Year.

This episode is both confronting and inspiring, offering hope, insight, and practical perspective for survivors and those supporting them. Caroline reflects on her upbringing, from a vibrant Mauritian family life to migrating to Australia as a child, and how her experience of sexual abuse began at age ten and continued for several years. She shares the complexity of living a “normal” life externally while navigating trauma internally, and how abuse reshaped her sense of safety, childhood innocence, and ability to access joy later in life.

Caroline is the author of More Than One Thing Can Be True and now dedicates her work to supporting survivors, opening conversations around trauma and replacing shame with understanding.

Episode 57: Ryan Girdler: From NRL Legend to Media, Business & Men’s Mentor08 févr. 202600:51:18

In this episode, Belinda is joined by former NRL player, media personality and men’s wellness facilitator Ryan Girdler for an honest conversation about men’s mental health, identity, pressure, and what real transformation actually looks like.

Ryan shares his “that was then, this is now” story from professional football and public success to the quieter, more confronting inner work that followed. They unpack what happens when the structure disappears, when achievement no longer defines you, and when you’re forced to slow down and meet yourself without distraction.

This conversation goes far beyond football. It’s about men stepping out of the system, letting go of control, doing the work, finding purpose, and getting clear on what you’d be willing to do for your family.

Ryan talks about how meditation and breathwork changed his life and led him to the path he’s on now… being of service, running retreats and events, facilitating breathwork, and advocating for men’s mental health by living what he teaches.

A grounded and real conversation about growth, evolving as a man, and having the courage to do the inner work.

They explore what really keeps people stuck. • The difference between understanding emotions intellectually and actually feeling them
  • Why procrastination and self-doubt are usually emotional blocks, not mindset problems

Episode 54: Not Everyone Is For You. And You’re Not For Everyone18 janv. 202600:19:58

Some people are meant to walk with you for a season, a chapter, or a version of you. Growth, healing, and evolution change not just who you are, but who you show up as. And when that happens, not everyone can or will come with you.

In this episode, Belinda explores what it really means to outgrow friendships, clients, circles, and old versions of yourself. This isn’t about ego, cutting people off, or being dismissive. It’s about truth, alignment, and the freedom (and discomfort) that comes when you realise you’re not for everyone. And everyone isn’t for you.

Belinda shares practical reflections on how to navigate shifting relationships, release the need for approval, and find ease with the people and spaces that truly align with who you are today. This episode is for anyone who’s learning to honour their growth, embrace self-acceptance, and step fully into the version of themselves that’s ready to be seen.

What You’ll Discover in This Episode:

  • Why some relationships only last for a season, and why that’s okay.
  • How personal growth changes your dynamics with others.
  • Why being seen as “too much” or “not enough” often isn’t about you.
  • The difference between disloyalty and authentic outgrowing.
  • How to stop trying to control other people’s perception of you.
  • Where your energy truly belongs and how to recognise aligned connections.
  • Practical questions to help you reflect on your relationships and alignment.

If you’ve ever felt the tension of outgrowing people, wondering if you’re doing something “wrong,” or struggling to belong, this episode will give you clarity, relief, and the permission to show up fully as you are.

Episode 53: Darcy Cogdale: The Choices That Took Me to Jail and the Ones That Changed My Life11 janv. 202600:46:41

Content warning: This episode discusses addiction, mental health struggles, and suicide. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to a mental health professional or support line in your area. In Australia, you can contact Lifeline on 13 11 14.

Labelled “the fat kid” growing up, Darcy never felt like he belonged. Food became his first coping mechanism, followed by drugs at a young age in a search for acceptance. By his teens, he’d been expelled from three schools, was living on the streets, and deeply involved in crime and addiction.

After years of struggling including a suicide attempt, jail became the turning point that forced Darcy to face reality. While incarcerated, he built discipline through routine, training, meditation, and journaling. A promise to his terminally ill mother became the foundation of his sobriety.

Now, eight years sober, Darcy works as a personal trainer and coach, helping others from his lived experience.

This episode is proof that no matter how far you fall, the choices you make next can save you.

Episode 52: You’re Breathing… But Are You Actually Breathing Well?04 janv. 202600:22:27

We’re born breathing, yet many of us breathe in a way that keeps the body stuck in stress.

In this episode, Belinda explores why how you breathe matters, and how your breath directly affects the nervous system, emotional regulation, and the body’s ability to feel safe.

You’ll learn why shallow, fast breathing keeps the body in survival mode, the benefits of nasal breathing and tongue position, the role of the diaphragm in nervous system balance, how humming and gentle breath holds stimulate the vagus nerve, and why CO₂ tolerance matters for anxiety, breathlessness, and resilience.

You’ll also be guided through a simple, practical breathing practice you can use anytime to calm your nervous system and reconnect with your body.

This episode is educational, grounded, and designed to be revisited.

Episode 51: Why New Year’s Resolutions Fail And What Actually Creates Lasting Change28 déc. 202500:19:02

As we head into the New Year, there’s a message everywhere: New Year. New You. It sounds motivating, but for most people, it doesn’t last.

Only 8% of people actually succeed with their New Year’s resolutions. And it’s not because they’re lazy, unmotivated, or incapable. It’s because resolutions are built on hope, not on habits, and real change requires much more than motivation.

In this episode, Belinda unpacks why resolutions fail, what’s really happening in your nervous system when change feels hard, and what actually creates sustainable, long-term transformation.

This is not about hype, pressure, or reinventing yourself overnight. It’s about understanding the patterns underneath your behaviour, and learning how to work with your body, not against it.

By the end of this episode, you’ll feel grounded, clear, and resourced, not fired up for a week, but supported for real change that lasts.

Episode 50: Here’s Why You Become Like the People Around You21 déc. 202500:17:29

Who you spend time with shapes everything, your habits, your choices, your stress, your growth, and your sense of self. In this episode, Belinda explains why your nervous system mirrors the people and environments around you, not because you’re weak, but because this is how humans are wired.

You’ll learn why some people feel regulating and expansive, while others leave you dysregulated, drained, or stuck in old patterns, and how your childhood experiences shape what feels “normal,” even when it isn’t healthy. Belinda shares practical ways to choose people and spaces that support your growth, regulate your nervous system, and help you create lasting change.

If you’ve ever wondered why you feel like a different version of yourself around certain people, or why growth and change can feel hard in familiar environments, this episode will give you clarity, validation, and tools to start choosing people and environments that truly nourish you and move you forward.

Donna is the founder and principal GP of Her Medical, a women-centred clinic on the Gold Coast that feels more like a spa than a traditional doctor’s surgery —a pink building, soft curtains, warm spaces, and thoughtful design. At the heart of it all is genuine care for every woman who walks through the door.

Donna’s mission is simple but revolutionary: to create a space where women feel safe, seen, heard, and truly cared for. She has recently been named a finalist for Gold Coast Woman of the Year, and after hearing her story, it’s easy to understand why.

In this episode, we explore:

  • Why women’s healthcare has historically been dismissive and how it’s finally shifting
  • Donna’s vision for Her Medical and why environment affects how safe women feel
  • The conditions most misunderstood or minimised in women’s health (endometriosis, PCOS, menopause, incontinence)
  • ADHD in women and why diagnoses spike in the 40s and during perimenopause
  • The power of holistic care: GP, psychology, dietetics, physiotherapy, naturopathy, and more
  • How Donna leads a team of 10+ doctors and encourages women to advocate for themselves

This episode is inspiring, practical, and a must-listen for every woman who wants to experience healthcare that truly puts her first.
