In recent months a few interesting events happened to me that brought to light that my ability to communicate, which is something I've long prided myself on, has slipped and is in need skill development.  I have a U8 Group here in Southwest Florida that I'm working with that is the best possible re-learning ground for me.  So in this episode, I detail how I have come to realize that I need to reinvest in my own development.

For our first episode we have Sam Steel, a 24 year old player for Anaheim.  Sam is a perfect opening episode because his game is rich with important player development topics.  The Steel study offers a platform to discuss the value of acquiring good pucks and how central this one aspect is to helping players breakthrough in the NHL in their offensive game.  With puck acquisition becoming his central challenge, there are a number of factors that spiral him into the position he is now battling in offensively.
