They backed this up by taking several key systems and capital planets from the 5 big powers. One of these was Tharkad, the Lyran Capital World. In the field it performs well (well except against the Clanners) but it has a problem. You are the DCMS and you hate the FedSuns. So when you are forced to use their tech and designs to beat them..it doesn't sit well with your mechjocks. So begins the rumours, the rejections and the eventual demise of a great 'mech. The year is 3013 and the Draconis Combine have invaded Mallory's World, again. The assault is being spearheaded by the infamous Second Sword of Light, with Yoringa Kurita in charge. Prince Ian Davion lands to drive the invaders back. The battles rage back and forth and Prince Ian is forced to call for reinforcements in the shape of the Kell Hounds. They are a few days out when the Second Sword gain the upper hand and start to drive the brave Davions back. The defenders, led by the Prince lead a rousing combat retreat and fight to the bitter end. This episode has been released before, but it was missing the extras. Sp I thought it worthy of a revisit and quick tidy up. The audio has been spruced up and I have reworked and tweaked the extras in to help round of the story. Hello mechjocks, shrapnel here. Yes it’s me, please do excuse the voice. Like the world of Brinton I’ve got the scourge plague, probably the Capellans..again, and lost my voice. It’s very slowly coming back but it’s going to take a few weeks according to the docs.

Anyway, it has been 20 days, 36 stories, a new podcast, and many  sleepless nights but it’s been a blast!   Whilst losing the voice is a blow we are so close to the end of  Tukkayid, I couldn’t leave it there my dear friends. So I have drafted  (somewhat under duress) some cover. Everyone please meet your  replacement narrator Shrapnellena.

20th May  

Clan Wolf had enough mobility to work around the ComStar positions in  the Porozistu Mountains, they chose to engage Precentor Stinson’s 11th  Com Guards directly, eventually breaking off a series of small  skirmishes to gather for a coordinated attack. Beta Galaxy inflicted  heavy damage on the 11th, even though Khan Garth Radick was killed at  the peak of the battle, but the war ended before the Com Guards 13th  could join the fray.   Despite the short-lived blow to the Wolf Clan’s moral inflicted by the  Khan Raddick’s death, the Com Guards could not unseat the Wolves from  either Brzo or Skupo. Striking at Clan Wolf supply lines proved  fruitless, because Khan Kerensky heavily reinforced these vital points.  Her knowledge of Inner Sphere tactics gave Clan Wolf it successes.

After 21 days of fighting the Ilkhan of the Clans conceded victory to  the Comstar. Only Clan Wolf successfully gained control of both its  target cities. Clan Ghost Bear held Spanac but failed to take Luk. Based  on its surviving forces Clan Jade Falcon achieved a draw.  Both sides suffered staggering losses. It soon became apparent that  Tukayyid represented much more than the largest military battle in three  centuries. The Com Guards ended the conflict with nearly 40% dead and  more than that number injured. Clan Smoke Jaguar suffered the highest  losses with 32% dead, while Clan Wolf lost only 20% percent of its  forces on Tukayyid.  Both the clans and the Inner Sphere sacrificed too many men and women  for either side to claim a true victory, but this battle represented on  of the Inner Sphere’s finest hours. ComStar willingly bloodied the soil  of Tukayyid to stand between Terra and the Clan’s tyranny for the next decade and a half.  

19th May  Precentor, the prisoner has been processed as instructed and proved to be susceptible to interrogation. The prisoner is unharmed and will be  sent to holding for return to her Clan on the next available transport.  

The ambush in the Devil’s Bath on the 6th was more successful than  initially thought with the loss of most of a Super Nova in the first wave (see attached output file). These may make for suitable salvage when, Blake be willing, we prevail over the barbarians.

My Precentor, it is my unhappy duty to report that Clan Wolf continue  their push towards the city of Brzo. So far our defences have been  ineffective. We are redoubling our efforts and  shall, by the Blessing  of Blake stand firm at the city boundaries.  

In the meantime reports have come in from previous battles which require  your attention, mainly concerning the actiosn undertaken on the 6th  May. To refresh your memory Clan Ghost Bear had taken several ammo  supply stations around Luk and Precentor  Luarca with her 103rd Division  wanted to take them back whilst giving the garrison units a nasty  surprise.  

The second report pertains to the ambushes on the Clan Steel Viper  supply caravans. I think you will find them interesting, whilst taking  heavy casualties they succeeded in their mission.

In the Name of the Blessed Blake First Precentor, rejoice! We have found  it. Today, whilst cataloguing the inventory you sent us, we have found  the missing segment of the esteemed Shintaro Datsin lectures. Truly a  great man, with a deep insight into Comstar Lore and History. This truly  will enrich the vaults and provide valuable insight into the goings-on  of events on Tukayyid.   

It is an original recording, make in the old analog devices of field  reporters but we have done our best to recover it.  

Rejoice, another fabled part of Comstar history has returned to us!  Praise Blake!

Clan Wolf are the last Clan standing and been biding their time,  preparing, studying their enemy. They know what Comstar are doing and are happy to play the game. Finally after two days of logistics,  redeployment and rest they launch their renewed assault.  

Will the 9th Army hold? Will the 10th be able to reach their beleaguered  comrades and help defend Brzo?

No current battle reports are available Precentor, as it appears Clan Wolf are marshaling their forces and building their stockpiles.  

But the computer has found this encrypted report. It appears to be an  account of the 388th Division (The White Banshees) and makes for troubling reading.

7th May After their long crawl across the Prezno Plain, the Falcons finally  reach the bridges spanning the Prezno River. Too deep and swift to ford,  the river could only be crossed at Plough Bridge or Robyn’s Crossing.  The Twelfth Falcon Regulars won the right to take Robyn’s Crossing but  were soon driven to a standoff by the determined Comstar Defenders. A frustrated and furious Star Colonial Aidan Pryde leads the jump capable ‘mechs of his Command Star in an unorthodox flanking attack.

Whilst Clan Wolf take a self imposed two day resupply and consolidation  period, Clan Steel Viper make their last final play to win an adjective.  After many fierce days of fighting and destruction, Steel Viper finally  emerge from the Devil’s Bath. Only to find that they no longer have the  forces required to compete for their objective.  A general retreat is  sounded which leads to division in the Clan.  

Will orders be followed, or will glory be achieved by those who seek it  when it is so close!?

Like their totem, Clan Wolf stand alone. A predator stalking its prey in  the long grass, slowly moving into the perfect position. Basing their  attack on their experience of the Inner Sphere, Clan Wolf have prepared  and were proceeded methodically. Much to the annoyance of Comstar.   

To take their objective city of Brzo, the Wolfs had to clear Bloodyt  Basin Pass and the tenacious Com Guard  tank crews.

As is the way with the Clan, those weakest ill prepared and unworthy had been dealt with. Only the strong survive.

Clan Ghost Bear officially declare the end of their campaign and leave Tukayyid. Their final result was a loss after only succeeded in holding Spanac but failed to take Luk.

Clan Smoke Jaguar, suffered the loss of both Khans in a single campaign, forcing the Clan to retreat off planet. Alpha galaxy refused to give up and were wiped out to a ‘mech, no mercy was asked and none was given.

In the face of fierce opposition and raising loses Clan Jade Falcon officially leave Tukayyid with significant losses. After all their hard fighting a draw was declared by both sides.

Only Clan Wolf now remained on planet, forging ahead with their campaign.

Of the seven clans that invaded Tuakyyid only four remain as fighting forces. Of those four only two remain as true fighting forces, Clan Jade Falcon and Clan Wolf. The remaining two Clans, Ghost Bear and Smoke Jaguar are clinging onto life.

Comstar forces are tired and diminished but buoyed by their victories so far. Can they hang on and finish the task? Soon we shall see.

Things have not gone well for Clan Diamond Shark or Steel viper. Both  clans have suffered sever defeats and are attempting to withdraw from  battle. Only brave sacrifices and slow pushes from Comstar allow them to  save what is left of their forces. Clan Nova Cat official leave the  theatre of war to lick their wounds. 

Clan Jade Falcon continue their cautious push, using any means  necessary to ensure they defeat the Comstar traps. A clan technician  spots discrepancies in the town of Ollala, clearly indicating a trap. A  clan heavy star is sent into the teeth to test the Comstar mettle.

7 May 3052  With the Diamond Shark landing zone encircled by prepared ComStar  forces, breaking through these lines towards the objectives of Kozice  Prime and Urcunat would be a challenge.  

Clan Nova Cat are in full retreat, being caught in a rigged amusement  park. There were few survivors. While most clanner had retreated or were  being beaten back, Clan Jade Falcon spotted and successfully exploited a  chink in the armour of the defenders at Robyns Crossing. And Clan Steel  Viper routed the 6th Army.

Having run low on supplies and captured the Comstar supply base at Lake  Losiije, Clan Nova Cat think their troubles have passed. That they will  soon be marching into Joje City at the end of the day. Unfortunately,  Precentor Colombini had other plans and one last desperate course of  action.  

The battle in the Kozice vally had been raging for so long that Comstar  were able to bring in reinforcements, including dropping the 5th Army  behind enemy lines, encircling the battered clanners and allowing scouts  and assassins to move freely.

All is not well for Clan Diamond Shark, their forces have become  encircled and cut off from retreat. Clan Steel Viper are fairing no  better after being goaded into the Devil’s Bath and ultimately to their  doom.
