Allen is a former military officer and humanitarian worker who has been witness to significant emotional events domestically and abroad. He has dealt with his own experiences of post-traumatic stress (PTS) through the application of NLP. He is an International Trauma Focused NLP Trainer and leads The Trauma Team, a collaboration of Life Coaches and licensed mental healthcare workers who are dedicated to helping people heal from post-traumatic stress. Allen uses the NLP intervention for PTS as part of a comprehensive protocol that addresses the pre-cursors for trauma such as adverse childhood events. The NLP intervention is based on the psychology and neuroscience of the reconsolidation of memories.
