Lester's 'Class of 1984' and Rainer Werner Fassbinder's 'Lola' and a largely-forgotten teen sex-comedy called 'Homework' featuring 'Dallas' star Joan Collins, who sued the proudction.

Brett Arnold (The New Flesh), Jacob Knight (Secret Handshake) and Jesse Hassenger (Vulture) review Nope, starring Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun, Brandon Perea, Michael Wincott, Keith David. Directed by Jordan Peele, whose previous films are "Get Out" (2017) and "Us" (2019).

Spoiler-heavy discussion included, as well as a spoiler-free portion. We get into the themes of the movie and analyze the meaning of each element. A metaphor tit-for-tat! We also discuss his previous films and how they differ.

This is the first episode of Roger & Me, a podcast celebrating the life and work of Roger Ebert that aims to keep his unique spirit of film criticism alive.

Every Friday, host Brett Arnold will be joined by film critic guests as they review all the movies set for release that day.  On Tuesdays, Brett and a guest will rewatch an old episode of Roger's movie review show and talk about the movies discussed, from a modern perspective.
