| Alex's experience of motherhood | 12 May 2024 | 00:41:45 | |
Full disclosure, we recorded this ep in Lisa's living room because we filmed it so that we could upload it to IG. It all fell to shit because we aren't professionals and filmed too wide for an instagram crop hahahaha... anywhoo, that's why it sounds the way it does this week!! This episode is a little update from Alex on her experience of motherhood so far. The highs lows, swings and roundabouts. The change and evolution she feels in her identity and some rudimentary advice from someone currently going through it all. Listen if you wish, no hard feelings if this ep isn't for you right now :) Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/all-bases-covered. Hosted on Acast. | Let's get slugged | 02 May 2021 | 00:45:22
EPISODE 116./ Starting off this episode a little chaotic off the back of our very first hate mail and a VERY happy engagement to friend of the pod, Armadale Liv! In beauty news this week, Sunday Riley has been certified as a B Corp, more retailers have joined the TerraCycle beauty recycling program and we discuss the top paid beauty influencers and their reported income per post, per platform… so juitzy. In launches: Jaclyn Hill’s new priming and setting collection has been revealed, Bread Beauty has launched in Sephora Australia and Vieve is about to drop a highlighting product! P.s we were wrong about Vieve … it’s totally not a powder. Moving into a beauty breakdown, this week we’re discussing slugging. Not the wormy kind. The K-beauty skincare trend that’s doing the rounds on tik tok and promises to reduce trans epidermal loss of hydration. So what is it? And do you need to try it? Let’s discuss. This week we trialled the Dr Dennis Gross Intense face tanning wipes. They’re an AHA/BHA/DHA delight combining light exfoliation with a tanning glow. | Mini / Mothers Day Gift Guide | 27 Apr 2021 | 00:34:57
Hi fam! Show notes below are a collection of our ramblings and planning for this episode. There's a lot to get through so we won't be providing links but hopefully product names will help you find things :) Bridie: Gift for my mum: loves homewares, is about to build their dream home on the water, loves cooking (not baking) and enjoys a nightly wine 👏🏼💞 > The book I mentioned this week! Julia butilli nushimuri cookbook. Get her a little hamper and wrap it in a basket from target which will be gorg and helpful for her home. Add some fancy olive oil, rock salt…I say this every time but the zalto wine glasses - always get comments on mine. >A cute kitchen book stand to go with the book ^^ (fog linen work brass bookstand) > Byredo or similar hand wash and cream set for new house. (Aesop, grown alchemist) Jess: Hi ladies 🤗 I need a present for my mum. She likes gardening, is obsessed with her two dogs and her and my dad recently got a caravan to go adventuring in. She isn’t really into make up or skin care (I’ve tried). She is a bargain hunter and doesn’t really go for high end stuff. She does love a nice perfume tho, she currently wears Si. I usually buy on behalf of me and my useless brothers and spend $250-$300. Any recommendations would be appreciated 😇 This excites me. Can she adopt all my future dogs too? > Camper chair the internet and Brenton tell me expensive is good, wanderer looks like a good brand - > Not sure of the calibre of the camper van but maybe a nice hot plate or heater? > Jaffle iron maker > The clay collection do the chicest personalised dog bowls > Also MERRY PEOPLE GUM BOOTS can’t say it enough. And has she got a good puffer and or wet weather jacket like gortex vibes > Would she like Gucci bloom? Or jo Malone? Kaye: Desperately need ideas for my mum pls - very minimally interested in make up / skincare (think moisturiser, powder and brow pencil only 😂). Hates the idea of buying anything expensive. Works in finance. Loves crafty things like cross stitching and knitting. $50 budget just to give her a little treat. Now that i’m typing this, can you say: Vanilla 😂😂😂 Love her tho hahaha > Would she like the journey of something puzzles? She could then frame it? >Wool and gatherer do punch needle kits for 58 bucks with free shipping and punch needle is cool and trenday > Beeswax wrap sets! Fun crafty and sustainable Em: “High flying executive mum who spends 2 working weeks out of the month in Perth. Sensitive skin, likes natural skincare. Obsessed with tea, cooking and animals” > Marrimeko mug. > A donation to an animal charity on her behalf. Nigella cook book. > Josh rosebrook hydrating mist or mask, both nice for water loss as a result of flying and natural and bougey. > Japanese cross back linen apron from made and more currently on sale. I don’t wear any of my other aprons cause they’re too hard to put on lol this is superior. > Some Robert Gordon pottery or I just got the cake stand? NARN Not into self care, doesn’t read. Likes hippy/boho clothing and decor.

| The boy who cried wolf | 25 Apr 2021 | 00:44:38 | |
EPISODE 115./ Good morning everyone! (gooood morning Lisa and Alex). We have some important news for you all… Things around here are going to be changing. We had a catch up with our friends at Acast this week, and we’re keen to get our listener (that’s you)’s input on the updates we’re planning to make to our show! Please tune in to provide us with your feedback - we do this for you and would hate for you all to hate our podcast if things change too dramatically! You can DM us @allbasescovered.pod or leave us a review on Apple Podcasts to share your thoughts on our suggested changes. Getting into beauty news… This week we’re coining Jeffree Star as the boy who cried wolf after an ill-timed accident that he was involved in over the week with a long time friend. Reality or fake news? You be the judge. Speaking of people being dodgy, this week it was announced that James Charles has been dropped by Morphe and Demonetised by YouTube. New things this week include weddings, babies and product launches from Ultra Violette, Hourglass, Esmi, and Lisa Eldridge. This week we trialled the Dior Backstage Face and Body foundation. Time for us to discuss the claims, our thoughts and how we find that this foundation compares to the cult MAC Face and Body foundation alternative. EPISODE 114./ Happy Monday everyone! Not a heck of a lot of beauty news circling around the internet this week, so we’ve got a little to cover before jumping into a beauty breakdown and a review of the Vieve eyeshadow sticks. Krave beauty released a statement this week with an update on their extensive lab testing of Beet the Sun. Next up, we wanted to give you an update on Lisa’s Sculptra filler procedure. You’ve been asking, so she’s here to share and Alex has an update about the Mecca Vitamin C serum after using it for an extra week. | Did we just find our new holy grail foundation? | 11 Apr 2021 | 00:45:25
EPISODE 113./ This week’s episode feels like a blast from 2019’s past with the resurfacing of allegations against Beauty Influencer, James Charles for his predatory behaviour against minors. In beauty news we touch on our opinions regarding these allegations, also where the heck Tati Westbook has been, and why some influencers just can’t be cancelled. Also in beauty news we discuss the impending launch of Hourglass Vanish Cream Blushes, Ardell Aqua lashes, The new oddly shaped Rare Beauty discovery eyeshadow palette and the hotly discussed KVD Apple Foundation. Also what has MAC Cosmetics done with Face and Body by reformulating it into their new studio Radiance foundation! This week, Lisa and Alex trialled the Georgio Armani Neo Nude Natural Radiance Foundation. No spoilers but we picked this up a few weeks ago at the Sephora Sale and it’s safe to say it’s made it way into our hearts very quickly. Finishing up this week’s episode with an ‘I can’t believe you didn’t know that’ our beauty faves, non beauty faves and snacks. Products mentioned:

EPISODE 112./ Happy Easter Monday! We hope your bellies are full of chocolate, and your tinned tomatoes only purchased whole. This week there’s LOTS of beauty news to get through, followed by a snack related ‘I can’t believe you didn’t know that’, our product trial, faves, and snacks. First up in beauty news, ultimate cool girl Jen Atkin has announced that her and her partner are having a baby via surrogacy. Secondly, Jae Haircare and Mecca’s new Pout Pop sheer line have launched at Mecca this week. In addition, Mecca have been trialling TerraCycle recycling services in-store and have announced that this service will be available in all stores by the end of April. Moving on to Sephora Australia news, Milk Cosmetics has finally dropped, and we’ve decided that we don’t want to try the Fenty Beauty Eaze Drops already. Lisa also has more Shaanxo conspiracy theories to share with you all and Desi Perkins has very swiftly dropped a new skincare line under her existing brand Dezi. This week we trialled the Mecca Cosmetica Vitamin C serum that boasts 15% L-Ascorbic Acid for the low low price of only $55. Whilst it’s a little too early for us to discuss the long term impacts this product had on our skin, we chatted about how it compares to our other Vit C faves, who it’s great for and what we think of the ingredients list. EPISODE 111./ We’re high from our shopping spree and keen to tell the world what we spent all our cash on! Also this week, Adore Beauty has started the Global Shades campaign, leading the charge in pressuring the Australian Beauty industry to shop inclusive shade ranges. This week our beauty trial is MCO Ambassador Celeste Barbers ‘top pick!’ - the MCO Xtend Lash Mascara. This is a ‘drugstore’ mascara retailing at around $25 and is available at Woolworths in Australia. It’s a bristly brush with a tubing formula so already ticking a few boxes before we trialled it, but you’ll have to listen to see what we think. | Shiny like a bowling ball | 21 Mar 2021 | 00:49:45
It’s been a chonker of a week for Lisa and Alex, between an anniversary trip away, simultaneously, momentarily despising our partners and Lisa looking the most beautiful she’s ever looked in her life (so far cause wedding hasn’t happened yet), we have a little to bring you up to speed on! First up in beauty news this week, Rihanna has trademarked the name Fenty Hair to obviously bring hair care to her empire. It got us thinking, what other beauty brands out there (who aren’t retailers) are currently tackling ALL of the beauty realm? Don’t stop her now, she’s still got the fragrance category to cover and where do you think she’ll go next with this? Oddly, Ren Skincare found themselves in hot water this week after bringing out a new product with the name ‘British Summer Time’. Props to Ren for handling this gracefully and also, how fkn weird that anyone would trademark that in the first place?! We discuss… In a twist of fate and a drunk turn of events, we ended up trialling TWO Goop Beauty products this week - the Goop Microdermabrasion scrub and the Goop Glycolic Peel Pads. We haven’t heard a whole lot about these products other than that they’re uber expensive and as VERY big acid lovers, we have developed a lot of opinions about how efficacious these were for us! Also this week, we wanted to let you know that we can’t believe you didn’t know that you shouldn’t put foundation under your eyes. Guilty? Let makeup artist Lisa tell you why you’re wrong. | We found a Glossier dupe and it's from the drugstore | 14 Mar 2021 | 00:46:24
EPISODE 109./ Hello pod fam! Happy new week and another new podcast episode. Lots of beauty news to cover from the last week, but firstly, we’ve gotta talk about Lisa’s Youfoodz hunger strike cause it’s the cause of her crazies in this episode. Kicking off news with another beauty Youtuber pregnancy announcement. Congratulations to Zoella on the announcement of her tiny baby prodigy and a big HA HA to everyone who said that her and Alfie no longer loved each other. Next up, Jaclyn Hill is doing the unthinkable, relaunching a lipstick line for Jaclyn cosmetics, KVD Vegan Beauty has rebranded AGAIN and Chloe Morello … or Face Halo have released some seriously questionable and outrageously expensive merch. This weeks product trial is nothing short of a miracle. A legitimate Glossier dupe sourced directly from the drugstore. We trialled the Rimmel Wonder Cloud Liquid Eyeshadow (and primer!). Not only is it a fantastic dupe for Glossier Skywash, it’s also a fairly decent eyeshadow primer too. What a win-win! Great work Rimmel. Finally, you spoke and we listened, the secret skincare sound is no more. You hated the segment and now it’s gone forever, but if you’re wondering what it was… Congratulations if you guessed Sunday Riley Good Genes. Products Mentioned:

| Get the grapes in your gob | 07 Mar 2021 | 00:47:32 | |
EPISODE 108./ Hello! Happy Public Holiday Monday to everyone! We hope that you’re out enjoying a long walk on the beach, or with your dog whilst listening to us today. Please give your pooch a pat for us. In beauty news this week, Ultra Violette has landed on British and EU soil, officially launching in Space NK! In Youtuber chat, Estee Lalonde is celebrating her 10 year anniversary on YouTube and has launched a ‘self care and self reflection’ brand (not sure what else to call it at this stage) called Mirror Water. Shaaanxo has dropped her wedding video that had Lisa in a blubbering mess, and Raw Beauty Kristi has brought us very behind the scenes with her just released birth story video. In the most exciting beauty news of all. Lisa has FINALLY possibly, very likely stopped the search for a PERFECT, Functioning, eyeshadow primer! STOPPPP THE PRESSSS you’ll have to listen in to work out what it is!! Truly, alex was shocked. We dive right into some tea, sparked by a recent video where Allana Davison stated that she felt that Urban Decay has gone down hill in recent years… and it got us talking about which brands we think have also lost their shine. Lisa also discusses her experience with her Liberty Belle Derma Sweep facial and we have a little pow-wow about our collective experience now that we’ve both been. This week we trialled the Vieve Sunset Blush in the shade Pesca. Introducing a NEW SEGMENT … secret sound…it’s a rather unique segment that is probably only suitable to beauty devotees and ASMR enjoyers. Each week we’re going to tinkle some skincare noises and you’ll have to guess which product we’re playing with. All will be revealed next week as to what sounds #1 is. Things Mentioned:

EPISODE 106./ What a wild last week we had! Whilst Alex suffered through Melbourne’s snap lockdown, Lisa was living her best life up in QLD. This week in beauty news, we’re giddy with excitement that Milk Makeup is coming to AUSTRAAAALIAAA. Finally. Known best for their kush mascara, cream bronzer and cool-girl attitude. Lisa got deeeeep into the Lydia Elise Millen hair saga and brings us all up to speed. You’ve got to hear it to believe it. Also Shaaanxo got married! We received a Listener Question in our IG DM’s this week from Sarah who wants to know how you can tell when a product has started to go off, and when you should consider decluttering old stored makeup and skincare. A great question, thank you Sarah! We’re going to go through just that for you. It’s a battle of the brow products for our product trials this week. After the Mecca Brow Soap last week, we’re excited to try two other super-hold gel options - one drugstore and one luxury. Lots of opinions here as always so you better listen in to see what we think. It’s becoming a trend but our snacks are meals and beverages and beauty faves are very un-sexy so pls enjoy when you get to that! Things Mentioned:

Happy Birthday, Lisa and Happy Monday, pod fam! Lisa predicted the future because hey-ho, it’s a shit show in lockdown land again this week! We’re obsessed with the packaging (not the contents) of the new Marc Jacobs cafe collection, Vieve has dropped more perky products, Shaaanxo is getting MARRIED, and we’re glad to hear about Sephora’s 2021 beauty accelerate program which is 100% supporting BIPOC brands. The product has completely polarised Lisa and Alex as they both feel completely differently about it … tune in to hear what they think. | Eau de raisin | 31 Jan 2021 | 00:38:29
Episode 103 ./ We’re jumping right into beauty news today because there’s lots to cover! Firstly, It’s Alex here and let me start by correcting myself that for the WHOLE section about Auric Beauty i referred to the platform it launched on as ‘magic dust’ … my auto correct must have screwed me because it’s magic DUSK. I’m embarrassed, let’s move on. Second most important beauty news is Chloe Morello’s baby announcement. Another beauty influencer baby hooray! Katy has announced her brand Thirty Years, LOTS of newness at Mecca and the Halsey Beauty line About Face. This week, we tried the Go To, Removalist Kaolin Clay and Zinc face mask. It’s a delightful mask with a scent of Benadryl and Grape that we collectively gave an 8/10. Listen in to find out why! Our beauty faves this week included the Caudalie grape water and the Go To Hand Cream. But Alex cheated and there’s also a third fave, the Bite Beauty Changemaker foundation. We wanna give this unsung, middle of the road foundation a shout out because it truly is great and has been under appreaciated. In snack news: Lisa is off chocolate. By choice. We’ll see how she goes, but for the next few weeks you can anticipate some non-chocolate snacks for the first time ever. EPISODE 102./ We know we’ve done a lot of random rambling of late, so as the title suggests, this is a jam-packed ep with LOTS of beauty chat. Starting with a little bit of a beauty news segue, we’re excited to kick off this weeks episode with a little chat about a new Australian skincare/dermatology consultation service called QR8. We are very excited to see developments in the tailored compounded-skincare space and hope you enjoy hearing about it! If you’d like to learn more, you can follow them on Instagram @qr8_mediskin. In beauty news this week, the new Stay Vulnerable collection from Rare Beauty, the much-anticipated Auric Beauty in depth discussion that we’re a week late on (great news, it ships to Australia!!) AND we have a little giggle about Jeffree Star. We’re back on the product trial bandwagon and ready to talk about the not-so-new anymore Liberty Belle Godsend oil. No spoilers here so you’ll have to listen in to see what we thought! We also have a beauty breakdown this week on the beauty procedure, Sculptra. It’s a type of filler that’s injected into the face to help restore collagen. Lisa has tried it so that we can hear directly from her what it’s all about! Finishing things off as usual with lots of beauty faves, non beauty fave (Trash TV) and snacks! We hope you enjoyed this lengthy episode. Please follow us on Instagram @allbasescovered.pod and leave us a review if you haven't already! We'll chat with you again next Monday ;) Things Mentioned:

EPISODE 207./ Fair warning, the title says it all, but Lisa had food poisoning this week so skip forward 5 minutes if you want to miss the vomit and poo discussions. Don't listen whilst eating. Please don't listen out loud in public... we trust you guys but no one else needs to hear this hahahaha Second half of this ep we're just catching up on chit chat about Season 43 of US Survivor. We know this ep will be polarising so if you listen to it through, please DM us. You're the real MVPs. Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/all-bases-covered. Hosted on Acast. | Time out ladies, time out | 17 Jan 2021 | 00:47:19
EPISODE 101 ./ It’s 2021 and we’re back and better than ever (in our opinion, anyway). Let us start by bringing you up to speed on our little holiday break and events over chrissy before jumping straight into beauty news! To catch you all up on Beauty News, we’re starting with the Nikki Tutorials documentary. Whilst we’re glad this mini series exists, we do wish that 1) the eps were longer 2) the series is missing a few key elements of Nikki’s life given how long they were recording and 3) … it is a little yawn-y. We’re also covering the (not so) new MAC x The Sims palette collab, new influencer brands by Ssssamantha and Katy, and a YSL lipstick printer … yes you heard that correctly, but don’t get excited yet. Next, Lisa is going to gift you and your ears an on-air demonstration of the NEW Liberty Belle Godsend oil. Keep your ears peeled for a proper product review on this one in the coming weeks! We have LOTS of beauty faves to go through from over the break so this week we’ve got faves and anti-faves from Alex and a repeat fave from Lisa. Finally… SNACK NEWS. We need your opinion on two pieces of controversial chocolate related snack news because truly we’re confused as to whether Cadbury are now just repackaging old faves on us. Products Mentioned:

| It is your birthday | 13 Dec 2020 | 00:45:36 | |
EPISODE 99./ HAAAAAAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALEX! Please hold as we begin this episode with the sounds of rustling wrapping paper as Alex opens her birthday gift from Lisa. Don’t worry, garden chat is very much going to be covered once we get the festivities out of the way. Also please pause whatever you’re doing RIGHT NOW so that you can subscribe to our YT channel. If you DON’T subscribe to our YouTube channel, you’ll miss our live on Monday at ~around~ 5pm. Moving into beauty news it’s important that we let you know that Liberty Belle has launched the missing piece of their product puzzle - an oil! Nikki Tutorials’s robbers are no longer at large, Raw Beauty Kristi has named Young Beauty Kristi (her son), and Static Jon has launched a beauty line collab with Artists Couture. We also found out investigating beauty news what @Katy’s surname is. You’ll be shook. This week we tried Mac Face and Body foundation. This foundation is loved and adored by artists worldwide for it’s flexible formula with a buildable, waterproof coverage. This was Lisa’s first time trying it in her whole 27 years of life, so please enjoy what she has to say about this discovery! Lisas beauty fave this week is the Sarah Chapman Skinesis Overnight Facial and Alex’s is the Tatcha Violet C Radiance Mask and Lisa also has an Anti Fave: The Lanege cream skin mist. She has a number of gripes with this product so proceed with caution! Anyway, if you enjoyed this weeks episode, please follow us on Instagram over at @allbasescovered.pod and come chat with usssss! EPISODE 97./ The countdown is on! Only a couple of episodes remain until Christmas! It’s an influencer heavy news week this week with the most exciting news of all being that Lisa and Alex’s best friend (lol) Allana @allanarama has FINALLY gotten engaged to dejan. Of course we already knew because we’re her nearest and dearest friends, but you didn’t … and now you do. Hooray. Also in news we’re discussing the re-launch of Zoe Foster-Blake’s Go-To brand for ‘men’ Bro-To and whether it’s still weird that there’s a requirement to bring out a ‘more masculine’ version of packaging to cater to those non-peach lovers. This week we have Brenton back on the podcast to discuss his product trial of the week - the Briogeo Curl Charisma hair gel. Likened to KY Lube, Brenton has a lot of opinions about how this gel tamed his curls and what made it different to the usual Bumble and Bumble curl cream. We also decided to ask YOU guys some last minute questions (LQOWs) over at @allbasescovered.pod Products Mentioned:

EPISODE 95./ GUESS WHAT EVERYONE! Another YouTuber is PREGNANT! Kicking things off this week with A LOT of baby chat thanks to two weeks of beauty news ft. Sam Ravandahl as she’s announced to the world that she’s not only birthing a beauty brand, but a BABY too! We then proceeded to talk about Lisas butt for a rather long time … And got back on track to discuss the leaps that Fluff Beauty is taking to respond to customer feedback and become more sustainable. This week we trialled the Youth To the People Dream Eye Cream. A lovely, creamy (duh), under eye cream containing ceramics and brightening antioxidants, this eye cream is a great basic addition for anyone with normal to dry under eyes! Alex also brought us the contents of her bin so that we could discuss EMPTIES! Really, after this point you can switch off if you’re only here for beauty chat as the rest of the episode we discussed pizza, gluten and snacks! Stay tuned for Wednesday though as we’re finishing off our Christmas Gift Guide with part 2. PRODUCTS MENTIONED:

EPISODE 93./ Happy Monday! You’ve caught us on a high for this week’s episode because Lisa had a GREAT day and we’re also about to record Wednesday’s mini ep on Xmas Gifting! In beauty news this week, we are very excited to share that Samantha Ravandahl has discussed that she’ll be launching her makeup line early next year! Speaking of influencer launches, Jamie Genevieve’s new brand, Vieve has been plastered all over our feeds and launched on Cult Beauty this week. We also MUST touch on the fact that our beauty wonderful dreamland is about to open in Sydney - the Mecca Stack. Is it good/bad/weird that opening in the stack is a Sarah and Sebastian ear piercing and bracelet soldering offering. This week we trialled the Victoria Beckham x Augustinus Bader Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturiser. It’s a packaging delight and it cost us $6483 AUD … Not really, but almost. What did we think of it? You’ll have to listen to find out. For our Beauty Faves this week, Lisa promises this will be the last time she discusses Liberty Belle (for 3 weeks). Her favourite this week is their very luxe Star Quality moisturiser … and also the cleanser which she jams in as a sneaky second fave. Links below to the set she discusses! Alex’s fave this week is the Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation stick. Everyone on the internet says that it’s good and Alex agrees. It’s a little dryyy but it’s a beautiful stick foundation if you’re looking for a good all-rounder. We missed out on Non-Beauty Faves last week so please forgive us as we spend 15 minutes discussing The Queens Gambit and other TV shows you recommended to Lisa. Products Mentioned:

| Limb Biscuits | 15 Nov 2020 | 00:44:26 | |
EPISODE 92./ Thank god you’re here! Strap yourselves in, we have a very VERY news-heavy week this week. This week we were surprised to learn that our (everyone’s) favourite Scottish beauty influencer, Jamie Genevieve has dropped a makeup line on our pretty laps! We haven’t been on the gestation journey of Vieve coming into our lives so we’re not too sure how to feel about this shock - was it the right move for Jamie to keep this so under wraps? Also this week, Tom Ford Beauty and Estee Lauder have dropped at Mecca online and Grown Alchemist have opened their experiential Retal Lab in Melbourne, topped with treatments, light therapy and beauty IV’s, we might just lock ourselves inside there for a while. We can’t run or hide from influencer launches this week as Amelia Liana has popped out another and dropped Raemi jewellery. AAAnd our very favourite, Raw Beauty Kristi has collabed with ColourMom (colourpop) for a woodland mushroom forest inspired collection. Also Ilume Trio is back but we don’t wanna hype it because Hourglass hasn’t brought it back to us in more shades! Product reviews are back and this week we trialled the NEW Go-To Skin Party body moisturiser. This lotion is rich but absorbs almost instantly - We described it as the perfect moisturiser to lather on before putting on a pair of jeans - YEP that lightweight. Our beauty faves this week: Lisas lash lift (sorry you can’t buy it off her) courtesy of Brow House Melbourne. And more fake tan for Alex - the Dark Gradual Tan from Loving Tan. Products mentioned:

EPISODE 206./ Hilariously, listening back to this episode we realised in hindsight that this was the beginning of Lisa's week of food poisoning saga. She's an idiot this episode, so please forgive her. EPISODE 91./ Hola friends! Welcome to another week of the year that will never end, and another episode of your favourite (we assume) beauty pod! To kick off this week with beauty news, we’re chatting all things beauty boxes. The boxes that aren’t advent calendars but are chocked full of beauty goodies and excellent discounts. The reason for this, this week Amelia Liana and Caroline Hirons have announced these value-packed delights. If you’re looking for a little extra fanciness in your life, this week On to the Christmas goodies - Go To have launched Face Hero Extra as part of their holiday collection! Boasting larger, golder, fancier packaging, Lisa and Alex think it’s certainly worthwhile picking up for convenience and more luxury packaging. In additional great beauty news, Estee Lauder has this week announced that they have reached net 0 emissions by sourcing 100% renewable electricity for it’s global direct operations. Our product trial this week was a long-awaited handover of the Shisedo Syncro Skin foundation from Alex to Lisa. So listen in to see what she thought and who she think this foundation would be fabulous for. To finish things off we covered off our product faves, non beauty faves and of course, our weekly snack selections. Products and News Mentioned:

EPISODE 90./ Guess what everyone! We’re recording together… in person…face to face!! Trust us, we can’t believe it either. Things may sound a little different but don't be alarmed, our lives haven’t picked up that much yet. We're still kicking off this week's ep #iso style with some light garden chat and an introduction to Alex’s new resident bat, Bobby. Speaking of Bobby's... In beauty news this week, the founder of Bobbi Brown has just announced the launch of her new brand, Jones Road! Whilst we love the ethos and concept behind the original Bobbi Brown line, you’ll see that we’re not sure if she’s hit the mark with this one. Most importantly, it's officially time to put up your Christmas trees because the '20 Mecca Holiday packaging has been revealed! Designed by Australian artist Louise Zhang, this bright, swirly delightful packaging is sure to be the feature of our IG feeds for months to come. In lieu of a product trial this week, we thought it would be just as fun to bring you our ANTI-FAVES of the week. Alex's - an at home body scrub concoction and Lisa decided to revisit the Allies of Skin Triple Hyaluronic serum. In a tale as old as time, fool us once shame on you, but fool us twice ... shame on us. The result? Both of us ending up with hives and orange peel skin. How lucky are we?! After our anti faves, things got a little nutty, so forgive the giggles, farts (disclaimer: not ours) and wax mannequins as we get through our beauty faves, things that Lisa let expire, snacks and non-beauty faves for the week. Products Mentioned:

| Assorted Family Pack | 25 Oct 2020 | 00:51:36 | |
Hello! Welcome back to our last week of double eps for a little bit because it’s time for Lisa and Alex to re-join society with their new found Melburnian ‘freedom’! First up, in beauty news we’re discussing the most perfect new collaboration ever between Glossier and the women’s NBA for the new additions to their body care line. Desi Perkins hath birthed her baby boy! Unfortunately we recorded this episode on the day of said tiny baby’s birth, so we don’t know much about him, but hooray for babies. Lastly in beauty news this week, we’re hunting for candle scientists as Aesop launched a new candle … a candle that costs 3 cents per minute to burn. Yep, you read that correctly. This week Lisa and Alex continued their trials and tribulations of probiotic skincare. This recommendation was delivered direct from skincare goddess herself, Caroline Hirons, so we figured we MUST try the Mother Dirt AO+ Mist. This patented one-of-a-kind probiotic spray has a lot of claims, including the need to no longer shower … find out what we thought of this product after a lengthy 4 week trial! We also have beauty and non beauty faves to get through, but most importantly, If you’d like to join our book club .. we mean survivor viewing party… please come and tell us on Instagram at @allbasescovered.pod and we’ll let you know what season we’ve just started haha. EPISODE 86./ We’re so #good, kind and pure this week that you might be confused who you’re listening to! Has iso turned us into the eco, green, vegan, sustainable beauty podcasters you’ve always wanted us to be? Probably not. But our recommendations this week coincidentally seemed to follow this trend. It’s a dry-arse week for beauty news this week but Mecca’s first drop of holiday launches dropped and Lisa divulged receipts between her and Adrian about Alex’s early birthday present suggestions. We also discovered that a couple of products discussed in previous weeks episodes as ‘new launches’ are now available at Sephora aus. This week we trialled the new Sally Hansen Good Kind Pure vegan nail polishes. They’re a new plant-based 16 free collection of earth inspired nail polishes and we’re keen to tell you our thoughts! A revelation that Lisa had this week led us to a new ‘I can’t believe you didn’t know that’… you should store your liquid brow pens and liners upside down. Sound weird? We know. Find out why. We also have EMPTIES, Lisa reveals her favourite affordable Hyaluronic Acid serum, and of course non beauty faves and snacks to see us out. Products Mentioned:

Hello! Happy Monday! Welcome back to another ep! We’re kicking off this week’s episode with some beauty news on the beauty guru who WILL NOT and CAN NOT be cancelled despite many striking allegations. Whilst we have no evidence at all, we’re sure J star is at this point, so rich and famous that it’s impossible for him to be cancelled because he’s just got dirt on… well, everyone. Other than that, we’ve got a few new holiday launches to cover and a very k-pop addition to the NARS Soft-Matte range. In this week’s beauty breakdown we’re covering milk spots.. or milium cysts OR as you may more commonly know them … milia! Ever wondered what Milia is, what causes them, and how to get rid of them? We got you. It’s reached the point in Melb isolation where Lisa and Alex have run out of newness for our beauty faves, so we’re reviving old faves. An enforced project pan if you will. EPISODE 80 ./ A week of ups and downs for us, so let’s kick yours off on an UP - after Lisa’s yawn. We have beauty industry news to discuss to kick us off this week! Makeup By Mario’s new cosmetics line is ready to launch at Sephora. In case you’re not aware who Mario is, he’s the artist made famous by Kim Kardashian and his game-changing contouring techniques. We’re looking forward to the PR send outs on this one, as we aren’t quite sure if he’s hit the mark, or missed it. Alicia Keys is the next Selena Gomez and is slowly starting to leak us secrets about her beauty range SoulCare… What could air care refer to? Find out for a hint on her first product range that will be ready in time for Holiday. Also in beauty news, Estee Lauder is sending a product to space … but not for research .. listen in to find out what the heck this is all about. We’ve spoken about it a couple of times now, but haven’t formally reviewed the Mecca Athletica Skin Perfecting Body Wash! Aside from smelling like a lamb roast, we have a lot of complementary things to mention about this product that has found a comfortable place in both of our skincare regimes. We can’t believe you didn’t know about candle tunnelling! If you have been hunting for a mini breakdown on all things candles, you’ll love this ep. We’re going in depth on how to make the most out of your expensive candles, and which dirty burners to stay away from. Products mentioned:
