During the Nixon years, a documentary was released that explored the topic of UFOs. On May 4, 1932 local police in the Atlas area of Stockholm, Sweden broke into the apartment of local sex worker, Lilly Lindeström, and were confronted with a gruesome and baffling scene. Dalnegorsk, a small town on the far eastern side of what was, in 1986, the former Soviet Union. Witnesses reported seeing a glowing spherical object streaking through the early evening sky and impacting a nearby hillside. Within a few days, local scientists were combing the forested area for evidence of the object that had fallen from the sky. Mantell, a Kentucky Air National Guard pilot, died in the crash of his P-51 Mustang fighter plane near Franklin, Kentucky, United States, after being sent in pursuit of an unidentified flying object.
