ToastCast is a collection of unique segments added to the Hurricane Dave Podcast. As the Division Director for District 14, I was asked to create a podcast interviewing the Keynote Speaker and presenters and highlighting various Toastmasters.

In this episode, I speak with the internationally recognized speaker, Mr. Elston Montford.

Millie Mill is the Host of Bring It In The House Podcast. She allowed me to repurpose this on my podcast. We had an opportunity to talk about our days at ABC Radio Networks.

I also shared one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made in the Radio Broadcasting business. Rule number one, don't quit until you have the next job. Especially a job in the number two radio market working for an internationally known person. A musical icon.

I was pleased to be a guest on the DJz and Daughterz Podcast. Yes, that's Daughterz with a "Z." As the title tells you, this is about a unique relationship DJs have with their daughters.

I'm proud to be the father of three beautiful young ladies. When they asked me to be a guest knowing how much I love my girls, how could I say no?

We ended up going down the Metaverse tunnel. I can talk about The Metaverse for days.

Let's talk about life. There will be times in your life where you need to pivot from one job field to another. I'm surprised how many people I know who have read the book "Who moved my cheese" but still go down the same old road. I will always love the radio GAME, but I'm not waiting to be saved. I am trying new way's to make money!

I was on the "You can't RUSH success" podcast hosted by my good friend and prominent comedy man Rudy Rush. His podcast is all about success. As always, when I'm a guest on someone's podcast, I like to cross-promote it on my podcast AFTER it airs on the original podcast.

It's us against the algorithm, us against the machine. The social media platforms are not exposing your content to 100% of your fanbase. Most of the time, you're only reaching about 18% on a good day.

We think it's time you harvest your followers onto a list that you control. That way, you can market to your Fanbase anytime you like.

I had the pleasure to get an invite from Reec Radio. We talked about the radio business, podcasting, and, what's most important, family life. There's something extraordinary that came out of being out of work during a pandemic. Life has never been better and more meaningful to me than it is right now.

A couple of young black record company executives decided to take a stance. They no longer want the barricades of being placed in the "Urban Music Department." I completely understand with the systematic racism in the world being exposed due to the murder of George Floyd I think these young executives are going to end up on the wrong side of history.

A lot of people are finding themselves out of work.

This episode is dedicated to my radio family that has been downsized due to COVID-19. I've had the experience of being in and out of work. So I'm somewhat of an expert on at least five different phases that you're going to go through.

From being a celebrity to being out of work can be challenging to deal with. I hope some of my life's lessons can help you during this time as you prepare for your come back.
