Our Season 3 returns finds us talking with XYZ Film's Todd Brown. His work in media began as an avid music critic which gradually extended into the film space for multiple publications. He then decided to start his own and the result of that has since become one of the leading publications today covering world cinema comprehensively with Screen Anarchy. His specific focus on covering independent and world cinema translated into him becoming a coveted film programmer for multiple film festivals and that as well translated into the role of sales agent, as he currently sits as The Head of International Acquisitions at XYZ Films. In this conversation where explore his career into sales, his journey into the African Market as well as exploring the various ways with which the streaming era has evolved the temperature and understanding of what success for African films can look like.
