Meditation for Reframing a Bad Day 28 Oct 202600:11:40
🌤️ We all have those days…this meditation is a simple, loving practice, meant to help us reframe a bad day. Difficult days are inevitable, and sometimes our minds tend to focus on everything that's gone wrong. During this practice, we'll begin by acknowledging the challenges we've faced, turning some loving compassion inward, and gently shifting our perspective to recognize the goodness that still exists within our lives.  A bad day does not mean a bad life. Meditation for Emotional Healing: Finding Peace in Difficult Moments14 Oct 202600:12:00
💗 This 10 minute meditation is for those tender moments when our emotions feel difficult to navigate. Inspired by the idea that “the only way out is through,” this practice invites you to approach your emotions with love, compassion, patience, and acceptance. When we're hurting, it's natural to distract ourselves, avoid uncomfortable feelings, or feel the need to fix or change them. But learning to sit with our emotions, even the difficult ones, can be a powerful act of kindness toward ourselves and an important part of emotional healing. Through somatic awareness, breathwork, and a loving mantra woven throughout this meditation, you'll be guided to connect with your emotions through the body, honor what you're feeling, and offer yourself compassion exactly where you need it most. Cozy Sleep Meditation: An Autumn Visualization for Letting Go & Deep Rest 07 Oct 202600:26:32
🍂 The changing of the seasons inspired this cozy autumn sleep meditation. Just as nature moves through seasons of rest, renewal, and restoration, so do we  During this cozy sleep visualization, we begin with slow, deep 4-7-8 breathing to support the vagus nerve and invite the body into a deeper state of relaxation. From there, you’ll be guided beneath an autumn night sky, attaching the thoughts and worries of your day to falling leaves and watching as they gently drift away. I hope you soften into a space of peace, tranquility, and comfort as the day fades behind you and you begin to drift into deep, restorative sleep. Mantra Meditation to Open the Heart & Cultivate Self-Love30 Sep 202600:15:40
💗 This meditation centers around the Sanskrit mantra Aham Prema, meaning “I am love.” So often, we seek love outside of ourselves, looking for it in other people, experiences, or places. But what happens when we begin to recognize that we ourselves are an embodiment of love? Through mantra, breath, and heart centered awareness, this practice will guide you into opening your heart and reconnecting with the love already within you. As we nurture that connection, we create space to meet ourselves with greater tenderness and move through the world from a softer, more loving place. Noting Meditation for Mindfulness & Present Moment Awareness 23 Sep 202600:13:20
🫧 During this practice, we will explore a mindfulness technique called noting, which helps us become more aware of what’s happening as it happens. Here, we’ll gently name the experiences that arise: thinking, hearing, feeling. A thought, a sound, a sensation in the body, all becoming something we can notice. It’s easy to get swept up in an experience before we’ve had a chance to recognize it. By giving it a name, we create a little space between ourselves and what’s unfolding. From that space, we can observe our thoughts and feelings with more clarity and compassion, and feel more connected to the present moment. Meditation to Calm the Mind: Breath Counting Practice 16 Sep 202600:15:30
🌬️ This meditation uses the breath as a single point of focus, helping to slow down a busy or anxious mind and bring your attention back into the present moment. Through the practice of breath counting, we’ll strengthen our focus and concentration while creating space from the thoughts that can contribute to feelings of stress or anxiety. During this practice, we’ll count the breath from one to ten before making our way back down again (with guidance).  You’ll have a few minutes of your own to carry on this practice without guidance as well. This is a simple technique you can return to whenever your mind feels scattered, your thoughts feel overwhelming, or you simply need a few moments to slow down and refocus. Meditation for a Fresh Perspective: Shoshin Beginner’s Mind 02 Sep 202600:19:46
🪷 This meditation is a practice that you can take with you far beyond these next few minutes and into your everyday life. Shoshin is the Zen practice of “beginner’s mind,” inviting us to approach our experiences with openness and curiosity, as though we were experiencing them for the very first time. Download the Free Shoshin Guide Here My question to you as you begin this meditation: what might change if you looked at your relationships, your work, or even the obstacles you face with fresh eyes? Sometimes, Shoshin is all we need to shift our perspective. Through this practice, you’ll explore what happens when you loosen your grip on what you think you already know, bringing a little more curiosity, excitement, and playfulness into the ordinary moments of your life. Sensory Meditation for Deep Presence, Awareness & Connection 26 Aug 202600:17:38
🐚This meditation takes us out of the thinking mind and into a sensory experience. So much of our lives are spent inside of our heads - thinking, planning, remembering, anticipating - while an entire world of sensation unfolds within the body.  Rather than a traditional body scan, this practice invites you to explore sensation itself, bringing awareness to the smallest points of feeling before expanding into the experience of your body as a whole.  All I ask is that you remain open and curious, noticing what you can feel and exploring what it means to experience the present moment through the body rather than the mind.  With love, Jo * No part of this meditation script, voiceover, or editing was created using AI. :)  __ Explore more from A Zen Mind  Join me on Instagram 💖   azenmindglobal.com Ad-free + extended episodes on Patreon Join the email list  — Our Partners Mental Health Support: Talkiatry Online psychiatry with licensed providers and personalized, evidence-based care — all from home. A Meditation for When You Feel Stuck: Find Clarity & Direction 12 Aug 202600:18:34
🪞 There are moments in our lives that face us with big questions, life changing decisions, and hard choices. Sometimes, those answers are not always easy to find, especially when our inner world becomes flooded with external input, the opinions of others, societal expectations, and the noise of everyday life. This meditation is a deeply reflective practice that is meant to act as a mirror. Many times, the answers already lie within us, and we simply need to be guided to a space of silence and inner trust to be able to hear from within. This meditation asks that you trust yourself. Please note the structure of this meditation: We begin this meditation with some gentle instruction. If you are listening to this meditation more than once, you may wish to start the actual meditation at 3:08 We move through a series of four questions, each offering 50–60 seconds of silence before we move on to the next.  You may wish to journal or reflect on these questions after the meditation. Keep a pen and paper (or your Notes app 😉) handy. “The degree to which a person can grow is directly proportional to the amount of truth they can accept about themself, without running away.” ― Leland Val Van De Wall With love, Jo * No part of this meditation script, voiceover, or editing was created using AI. 🌿This guided meditation is a healing space to release the weight of shame, grief, guilt, and regret. During this practice, you'll gently acknowledge whatever is present, while shifting your focus toward self-compassion, acceptance, and the freedom to choose again. Morning Meditation to Feel Your Best: I Choose to See The Good!15 Jul 202600:12:42
☀️ This morning meditation was inspired by the power of perspective.  So often, it's not our circumstances that shape our mood, but the way we choose to experience them. A simple shift in perspective can transform frustration into gratitude, helping us find peace, ease, and grace in places we may have otherwise overlooked. In this active meditation, we'll return to the mantra, "Today, I choose to see the good, and the good chooses me," while exploring the power of perspective, cultivating gratitude, and intentionally choosing thoughts that better serve you throughout the day. Zen Meditation: Deepen Your Self-Awareness & Inner Connection17 Jun 202600:26:38
🪷 This meditation is inspired by the practice of Zen, a tradition rooted in mindfulness, awareness, and presence. The goal is simple -  to have no goal. To observe things exactly as they are, without judgment, resistance, or attachment. Throughout this practice, we create space around the concept of awareness itself, gently guiding you deeper into the experience of the Self. While this is a mindfulness based meditation, its benefits extend far beyond these 20 minutes. Awareness is not something we practice only while in the midst of this practice,  it is something we carry into our conversations, our relationships, our decisions, and our everyday lives. I have found that the practice of awareness naturally creates more meaning, clarity, and presence. When we are truly present for whatever it is we are engaging in, life begins to feel richer. More connected. More intentional.  And perhaps most importantly, we begin to see things not as we think they should be, but as they truly are. :)  With love, Jo * No part of this meditation script, voiceover, or editing was created using AI. :)  __ Explore more from A Zen Mind  Join me on Instagram 💖   azenmindglobal.com Ad-free, extended episodes, + more on Patreon Join the email list  — Our Partners Mental Health Support: Talkiatry Online psychiatry with licensed providers and personalized, evidence-based care — all from home. Meditation for the Overthinking Mind: Mantra Meditation for Presence & Awareness27 May 202600:20:40
🦚One of the biggest misconceptions about meditation is the idea that we must completely quiet or empty the mind. But the mind was created to think, and it will never simply stop thinking. So rather than forcing the mind to become silent, this meditation invites you into a gentler approach - shifting the relationship with what is present.  This is a mantra based and sensory oriented meditation, as we begin with an open eye awareness practice, and shift deeper together.  This practice was lovingly created to help you reconnect with presence, soften the over identification with the thinking mind, and cultivate a deeper sense of peace, awareness, and compassion within yourself. Meditation for Self-Acceptance & Inner Harmony20 May 202600:13:46
🌷 This guided meditation is all about the pure love and freedom of self-acceptance. During this practice, we move through a gentle visualization to help you reconnect with the core of who you truly are, beyond expectations, pressure, productivity, or perfection. So often, we feel as though we need to be doing more, achieving more, or becoming “better” in order to deserve love and acceptance. But true self acceptance is the realization that your worth has never been something you had to earn. Together, we return to the truth of your inherent worthiness. We close this practice with a series of gentle promises to ourselves, affirmation style, allowing us to soften into greater compassion, freedom, and love for who we already are. Somatic Energy Cleanse Meditation to Release Stagnant Energy & Feel Like Yourself Again 13 May 202600:16:12
🚿 This meditation was created to help you let go of anything holding you back, reset your energy, and reconnect with your highest frequency. During this practice, we’ll move through an optional somatic exercise, breathwork, visualization, and affirmations, to help us release stagnant energy, and  elevate our frequency. So often, our bodies hold onto stress, negativity, overwhelm, and stagnant energy as a way of protecting us. Over time, the nervous system can begin operating from those patterns. This meditation is an opportunity to release what no longer serves you, reconnect with peace, love, and clarity, and realign with the light & grounded energy that already exists within you. Yoga Nidra for Deep Nervous System Restoration: 20 Minute Meditation 06 May 202600:23:06
🧘 This is our very first Yoga Nidra session together. Yoga Nidra (also known as yogic sleep) is a restorative meditation practice, which helps guide the body into a deep state of relaxation, while the mind remains aware.  It’s a powerful practice to help regulate the nervous system, release tension in the body and mind, and guide you into that delicate space between wakefulness and sleep (perfect for healing and subconscious reprogramming).  During this practice, we’ll move through a gentle yet swift &  rhythmic  body scan, at a pace that maintains awareness, while allowing the body to fully surrender. This helps keep the mind lightly engaged, supporting that dreamlike state that Yoga Nidra is known for. Throughout the meditation, we also work with balancing energy throughout the body with the breath, by bringing awareness to both the left and right hemispheres individually, and then together as one.  We will close our practice with a peaceful visualization under the vast night sky, where you can connect deeply with your personal intention, or sankalpa. It is best to do this practice lying down, or if you wish to nap or sleep after. Take a deep breath, and allow yourself to graciously receive this healing practice. ♡ With love, Jo __ Explore more from A Zen Mind Join me on Instagram 💖   azenmindglobal.com Ad-free + extended episodes on Patreon Join the email list  — Our Partners Mental Health Support: Talkiatry Online psychiatry with licensed providers and personalized, evidence-based care — all from home. Meditation for the Now: No Future, No Past, Just Now 29 Apr 202600:12:44
🐚 This practice was created with the sole intention to bring you back to the now. In 2010, Harvard University researchers found that “a wandering mind is an unhappy mind." So often, our suffering isn’t coming from what’s happening right now… it’s coming from the past we’re replaying or the future we’re anticipating. This meditation gently guides you out of that mental noise, and back into the purity of now. Through a simple & immersive visualization, you’ll be invited to fully experience the present moment, not just understand it conceptually, but actually feel what it’s like to be here. Beyond the ego, beyond the timelines, memories and future worries. To be grounded in your body. To be connected to your breath. To exist without needing to go anywhere else. Meditation for Patience: Go Slowly 01 Apr 202600:16:21
⏳ Patience is a practice. During this meditation, we focus on cultivating the energy of patience, softening the urge to rush, control outcomes, or jump to conclusions. These patterns often keep us in cycles of urgency and reactivity, until we bring more conscious awareness to them.  Through a simple visualization, you’ll be guided to create space. Space for things to breathe, unfold, and resolve in their own time. We shift into the energy of acceptance, ease, and flow, releasing tension, urgency, and the need to force what isn’t ready. As we close the practice, we anchor in a beautiful, simple mantra: “slowly… slowly… slowly…” A reminder of what true patience feels like. Morning Manifestation Meditation 04 Mar 202600:14:22
🔮This meditation has become a go-to in my personal practice and is truly one of my favorite ways to begin the day. During this 10 minute meditation, we move through a simple visualization exercise where you are gently guided into your future, both visually and emotionally. Neuroscience shows that the brain does not clearly distinguish between a vividly imagined experience and a real one. When you regularly visualize a future outcome and feel it in your body, your brain begins wiring itself toward that reality. When you repeatedly see something, feel it, and emotionally experience it as real, your mind begins to orient your decisions, behaviors, and attention toward creating it. This meditation helps you do exactly that. For best results, listen to this meditation or practice its visualization daily, and allow yourself to step into the future you are creating. Heart Chakra Meditation: Opening to Love & Compassion25 Feb 202600:19:33
💚 During this loving practice, we focus on opening, activating, balancing, and harmonizing the energy of the heart chakra. Through gentle awareness and breath, we allow ourselves to soften into love, compassion, forgiveness, and emotional harmony. The heart chakra is a natural and powerful center of connection, and it supports our ability to give and receive love freely, to connect deeply with ourselves and others, and to live with empathy, openness, and trust. When this energy center is balanced, we exist in a state of inner peace, feel more connected, and move in alignment with the natural flow of kindness, acceptance, and understanding. EFT Tapping Meditation for Anxiety & Overthinking18 Feb 202600:12:49
✨ If you are new to EFT Tapping Download the free guide here. This EFT meditation is designed for moments of anxiety, mental overwhelm, or when your thoughts feel like they are moving faster than you can keep up. We begin tapping right away and move through 4 intentional rounds, using affirmations that help you recognize what you are feeling, allow it to be there without resistance, and gently guide your mind and body into a calmer, more regulated state. EFT Tapping works by combining light acupressure with focused awareness. As you tap on specific points, you send signals of safety to the brain, helping to reduce the stress response and regulate the nervous system. This can lower emotional intensity, slow racing thoughts, and create space for clarity without needing to “fix” anything. This practice focuses on meeting yourself where you are, letting your body settle naturally, and allowing calm to return on its own - without forcing anything. A perfect way to step out of the cycle of overthinking and back into your body & into the present. 10-Minute Breathwork to Calm the Nervous System: Physiological Sigh 02 Feb 202600:11:10
☁️This practice is one of my recent favorite breathing techniques for calming the nervous system quickly and effectively. The physiological sigh (also known as cyclic sighing) involves two inhales through the nose, followed by a slow extended exhale through the mouth. It’s a simple yet powerful way to bring your body back into a state of regulation.  This is a great practice if you’re feeling anxious, overstimulated, overwhelmed, or just needing to come back into your body. Read more about Cyclic Sighing here.  This breathwork practice is intended for educational and relaxation purposes only and is not a substitute for medical or mental health care. If you have any respiratory, cardiovascular, or medical conditions, or if you experience dizziness, discomfort, or distress at any point, discontinue the practice and consult a qualified healthcare professional. More gratitude, more love, and more of what is still finding its way to you.  So often, gratitude is focused on what we already have, or what has already happened.
