On this episode of "A Second Helping," I'm speaking with the exceptionally talented wedding photographer, Adam Lowndes. Hailing from the UK, he is the creative force behind Adam Lowndes Photography. Beyond his remarkable photography skills, Adam is also an adept educator, sharing his expertise through engaging videos on Instagram under the handle adamlowndesphotography.

Join me for a fun discussion with Adam Lowndes. Discover how Adam's journey began with his first photography gig in Pennsylvania, where he spent ten weeks as a sports photographer at a summer camp, as well as how he got started with wedding photography. We talk about how he uses his behind-the-scenes videos to educate and set expectations with clients. This was a backyard wedding in Pottstown. The weather was iffy and the moonshine was flowing. There were gorgeous candles, tons of roses, boob tape, and not enough chairs for the ceremony. 

The venue was the Bride's Grandparents former dairy farm in Pottstown.

The HEADstrong Foundation's mission is to improve lives affected by cancer.

At the HEADstrong Foundation, they offer financial, residential, and emotional support to families affected by cancer. Their founder, Nicholas, recognized the scarcity of essential resources for families during their fight. Their team is based in Philadelphia and works relentlessly to provide resources for patients and their families who are receiving specialized cancer care throughout the country.

This wedding is super close to my house, and this is my first time shooting there. It's Megan's first time as well. We luck out with amazing vendors and the family is great. We shot the Bride's sister's wedding last May. The groom prep area has some tricky lighting, and I have another monster boutonniere to wrestle with, and there's a wedding-crashing baby, and a surprise replacement for a plus one.

This episode starts out with a suspicion I'm being scammed, but after talking with one of the owners of ShootWithMe, I decide to forge ahead. The wedding budget was huge and the Bride's Grandmother planned the whole thing. And for photos, the bride just wants candids, motion blur, and black and white photos. 

For this wedding we shot at Loews, St. John's Church, Race Street Pier, and Ballroom at the Ben.

In this episode I'm second shooting with Pat for the 13th time. I have everybody's name, but no times on the timeline! The couple is sweet, but we've got dramatic parents, challenging light, a groomsmen who has his own timeline, and the Groom's side almost got skipped during family formals.

In this episode I'm second shooting with Pat for the 12th time. There aren't a ton of details going into the wedding, but I know the couple is shy and don't like to be the center of attention. We encounter some ceremony challenges with the pergola, the bride has some t-shirt tan lines, the groom is in charge of the centerpieces and it feels like every family member wants to take their own pictures during family formals!

All of the wedding photos were taken at Normandy Farm in Blue Bell.
