Surahtul Kahf Reflections pt.1 | the test of majority06 févr. 202600:42:30

-just because everyone is doing it doesn’t mean it’s right

remember to read surahtul kahf and send salawat upon the Prophet🤍

Abū Sa'id reported the Prophet as saying, “If anyone recites sūra al-Kahf (Qur’ān, 18) on Friday, light will shine brightly for him till the next Friday.”

Baihaqī transmitted it in [Kitāb] al-Da‘awāt al-kabir.

About the sun being close to the heads of people on Yaumul Hisaab:

Miqdad b. Aswad reported:

I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) as saying: On the Day of Resurrection, the sun would draw so close to the people that there woum be left only a distance of one mile. Sulaim b. Amir said: By Allah, I do not know whether he meant by" mile" the mile of the (material) earth or dn instrument used for applying collyrium to the eye. (The Prophet is, however, reported to have said): The people would be submerged in perspiration according to their deeds, some up to their. knees, Some up to the waist and some would have the bridle of perspiration and, while saying this, Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) pointed his hand towards his mouth.

Sahih Muslim 2864

About a young person that grows up in the worship of Allah being shaded on that day:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Allah will give shade, to seven, on the Day when there will be no shade but His. (These seven persons are) a just ruler, a youth who has been brought up in the worship of Allah (i.e. worships Allah sincerely from childhood), a man whose heart is attached to the mosques (i.e. to pray the compulsory prayers in the mosque in congregation), two persons who love each other only for Allah's sake and they meet and part in Allah's cause only, a man who refuses the call of a charming woman of noble birth for illicit intercourse with her and says: I am afraid of Allah, a man who gives charitable gifts so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given (i.e. nobody knows how much he has given in charity), and a person who remembers Allah in seclusion and his eyes are then flooded with tears."

Şahih al-Bukhari (660).

A brief correction- The sunnah of salam21 janv. 202600:02:08

In this brief episode, I make a small but important clarification regarding the wording of the salām used in some of my older episodes.

After revisiting the Qur’an and Sunnah, I learned that the complete and authentic form of the salām taught by the Prophet ﷺ is: Assalāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh, and that additional wording I previously used is not from the Sunnah.

This episode is simply a correction, a reminder, and a reflection on the importance of precision in our words of worship. Any good is from Allah, and any mistake is from myself.

May Allah teach us what benefits us and benefit us with what He teaches us.

3 tips to stop that sin | How to Avoid Sin13 janv. 202600:10:28

3 Steps to Leave a Sin Behind, may Allah protect us from all sins ,🥹 those that are obvious and those that are hidden , the major sins and the minor sins , the public sins and the private sins , the sins we have committed and the sins we have yet to commit,🥹 ya rabbi please ya Allah forgive us

Sins are not forbidden without reason. Every sin is filthy, harmful, and destructive - damaging the heart, weakening iman, and distancing us from Allah swt.

To leave a sin behind, we must begin with three things:

  1. Acknowledge the reality of the sin - what Allah has made haram is filthy and harmful, even if the nafs tries to beautify it.
  2. Remember that Allah is watching - He is Ar-Raqib. Don’t silence the inner voice that reminds you that Allah sees you.
  3. Repent constantly - no matter how many times you fall. Keep returning to Allah until the devil loses.

Resisting a sin out of fear and shyness before Allah earns a full good deed, and striving against your desires makes you a fighter in the sight of Allah.

Never give up on tawbah.

Keep returning. Keep fighting.

Qiyam Al-Layl ( The Standing at Night - Night Prayer) is a confirmed Sunnah. Qiyam Al-Layl plays a great role in strengthening one's faith and helping one to do good deeds.

Allah praises those who have faith and are pious for their noble characteristics and good deeds, one of the most special of which is Qiyam Al-Layl.

It is one of the means of avoiding the punishment of Hell and attaining Paradise.

The Prophet pbuh said the best prayer after the obligatory prayer is prayer at night.

Full Hadith:

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported that he (the Messenger of Allah) was asked as to which prayer was most excellent after the prescribed prayer, and which fast was most excellent after the month of Ramadan. He said:

Prayer offered in the middle of the night and the most excellent fast after (fasting) in the month of Ramadan is the fast in God's month al-Muharram.

A friend that wants the best for us no matter what happens

In this episode , I also shared a lesson I learned about the Prophet complaining to Allah about how The people abandoned the Quran,

Surah Al-Furqan (25:30),

the Prophet s.a.w says,

"O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur'an as [a thing] abandoned," .

the lesson was about the 5 types of abandonment of the Quran:

  1. Reciting it
  2. Listening to it
  3. Using it as a cure
  4. Using it as a Judge
  5. Acting upon it

According to a narration in al-Bukhari, the Holy Prophet ﷺ asked

Sayyidna ` Abdullah ibn Masud ؓ to recite the Qur'an to him. Sayyidna ` Abdullah ؓ said : 'You want to hear it from me, although the Qur'an was revealed to you?' He ﷺ said: 'Yes. Recite.' Sayyidna ` Abdullah ibn Masud ؓ says: 'I started reciting Suratun-Nisa' and when I reached the verse: فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ (41), he said: "Enough for now;" and when I raised my eyes to look at him, I saw tears trickling from his blessed eyes.'

Let’s learn about istikharah! Seeking divine guidance 28 août 202500:25:53

Do you want to make a decision and need Allahs guidance?

This episode is for you!☺️

Salatul istikharah is a two unit voluntary prayer Muslims make after which they recite dua to humbly seek Allahs guidance in a decision they want to make.

Your host ,Nafisa (me☺️ ) reads to you an article from Yaqeen institute on istikharah. What it is, what the dua is , what it means, when, why and how we do it, the misconceptions around it and moree

A Guide to Istikhara, the Prayer for Guidance | Blog

The dua:

Transliteration of the du’a of istikhara:

Allahumma innee astakheeruka bi ‘ilmika wa astaqdiruka bi qadratika wa as’aluka min fadlika al-’adheem fa innaka taqdiru wa la aqdiru wa ta’lamu wa la a’lamu wa anta ‘allaam ul-ghuyoob. Translation of the du’a of istikhara:

O Allah, I seek Your guidance (in making a choice) by virtue of Your knowledge, and I seek ability by virtue of Your power, and I ask You of Your great bounty. You have power, and I do not. You know, and I know not, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter [mention the thing to be decided] is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, my worldly affairs, and in the hereafter then decree it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my livelihood, my worldly affairs, and in the hereafter then turn it away from me and turn me away from it, and decree for me the good wherever it may be and make me content with it

[Sahih al-Bukhari #6382].

The importance of knowledge in Islam29 juil. 202500:32:26

In the first episode of the season, we reflect on the weighty status knowledge holds in our dīn. From the very first command revealed “Read!” to the praise of those who fear Allah due to what they know, Islam consistently upholds knowledge as a path to Paradise and a sign of Allah’s favor.

We explore Qur’ānic verses and hadīth that emphasize the responsibility of seeking, acting upon, and sharing beneficial knowledge especially knowledge of the religion. The scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets, and those who sincerely carry and teach this light are promised ongoing reward, even after their death.

May Allah increase us in knowledge that benefits and grant us sincerity in both seeking and applying it.

Tune in and let your heart be reminded of why learning in Islam isn’t optional ,it’s essential.

May Allah increase us in beneficial knowledge and make us people who live what we know. Ameen.

Abu Huraira reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to the graveyard and said: "Peace be upon you! The abode of the believing people and we, if God so wills, are about to join you. I love to see my brothers." They (the hearers) said: Aren't we your brothers, O Messenger of Allah? He said: You are my companions, and our brothers are those who have, so far, not come into the world. They said: Messenger of Allah, how would you recognise those persons of your Ummah who have not yet been born? He said: Supposing a man had horses with white blazes on foreheads and legs among horses which were all black, tell me, would he not recognise his own horses? They said: Certainly, O Messenger of Allah. He said: They would come with white faces and arms and legs owing to ablution, and I would arrive at the Cistern before them. Some people would be driven away from my Cistern as the stray camel is driven away. I would call out: Come, come. Then it would be said (to me): These people changed themselves after you, and I would say: Be off, be off.

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days,” meaning the (first) ten days of Dhul- Hijjah. They said: “O Messenger of Allah! Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah?” He said: “Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah, unless a man goes out with himself and his wealth and does not bring anything back.”

Sunan Ibn Majah 1727

‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There are no days greater in the sight of Allah and in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Him than these ten days, so during this time recite a great deal of Tahlil ("La ilaha ill-Allah"), Takbir and Tahmid." learning to look forward to the start of your actual life22 mai 202500:36:24

In this episode Nafisa reflects on a phrase her teacher said

“We need to learn to love death, It’s the beginning of the actual life”

For the believer one has to remember that death is the start of actual life!

The whole episode is filled with many reflections of how we view death, why we might view it the way we view it and maybe a better way to look at it!

* Notes to self:

For the believer one has to remember that death is the start of actual life!

So you have to get it right here , take with you the deeds that Allah will have mercy on you and grant you the best of the ACTUAL life

Sacrifice for Him swt and prepare for a life where the currency before you are given an eternal home is in the actions you took in this test of a life.

You will get what you strive for. So oh servant of her merciful lord, look at your life , look at your calendar, look at your habits , look at the day to day activities you take on in this test of a life, are you striving for a good eternal home or the opposite?

Are you filling your books with good actions or the opposite?

Will you be happy to start your actual life today? Your eternal life?

For a believer ( may Allah make us of them), an eternity of happiness, eternal peace, eternal love, eternal happiness, oh

Allahumma inna nas alukal jannah wa ma qarraba ilaiha min kawlin wa amal

Allah we ask you jannah and what brings us nearer to it of speech and actions

Wa na uthu bika minan naar wa qarraba ilaiha min qaulin wa amal

And we seek refuge in you from hell and what brings us nearer to it of speech and action

Your opportunity to get it right09 mai 202500:23:22

Do you know what month we’re in? 🤭Do you know the Islamic months?

Welll we’re actually in a sacred month! Dhul Q’idah!

In this episode Nafisa shares what she’s learnt about sacred months, how we can use this month as a time to actualize the better versions of ourselves we wanted to see right after Ramadan.

Having had a dip in shawwal , where our bodies even physically could not do what we did in Ramadan, we rested and recharged and what better motivation than a sacred month where good deeds are amplified to make the most of and become the better versions of ourselves!!!🤗🥹

Alhamdullilah! Listen to the episode for all the reflections

May Allah allow for you and I to make the most out of these sacred months!

(*****IMPORTANT POINT TO NOTE , Allah can choose to forgive one but in their record the sin is still there but it’s also written that Allah has forgiven it, then there’s a next level that Allah decides that the sin be wiped out from the record completely and then there’s next level could be that if Allah wills he makes that the sin is infact turned into a good deed)

————————————————————————————

“So there are four sacred months, Dhul-Qadah, which means the month to sit. You sit back, you do not fight, you do not engage in any type of warfare.

Dhul-Hijjah is the month in which Hajj is, so there used to be a reiteration of Hajj in the Islamic Days.

There is Muharram, which means forbidden. It is the beginning of the year, so it's forbidden.

And then there's the month of Rajab, which is the only month that is not in succession, that does not come in succession. And Rajab means to remove and refrain. So you would remove your weapons, and refrain from fighting somewhere in the middle of the year.”

cut people some slack- be the ease amidst their hardships29 avr. 202500:30:13

And someone’s hard on you & you think to yourself

“Does it hurt to say things in a nicer calmer way”

The SAME WAY you go through those things, everyone goes through it too sometimes

Listening to this I remember Ramadan more clearly, I remember its smell, its breeze , its feelings of peace and closeness to the most Compassionate

growth takes times

so use your Ramadan as a stepping stone

And prayyyy

Speak to Allah

Because la haula wa la quwwata illa billah

There’s no might or power except for Allahs

So shouldn’t we continue to ask The Only One Who Can

We just need to keep asking🫶🏾

Things to reflect on, ramadan so far & the lailatul qadr hunt!24 mars 202500:30:33

- Remind yourself WHY you’re fasting, and WHY you’re praying the nights, and WHY you’re searching for lailatul qadr - وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ, But ˹continue to˺ remind. For certainly reminders benefit the believers.”

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever fasted the month of Ramadan out of sincere Faith (i.e. belief) and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his past sins will be forgiven, and whoever stood for the prayers in the night of Qadr out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven ."

You have to go out of your way to not be forgiven by Allah, if there’s a deficiency in your fasting, your qiyaam will make up for it by Allahs mercy , if there’s a deficiency in your qiyaam , qiyaam on lailatul wadr will make up for it by the mercy of Allah

Dua is WORSHIP!

And correct worship is rewarded ! By the mercy and will of Allah!

- A dua from the Quran I recently started loving:

My Lord! Inspire me to ˹always˺ be thankful for Your favours which You blessed me and my parents with, and to do good deeds that please You. And instil righteousness in my offspring. I truly repent to You, and I truly submit ˹to Your Will˺.”

Part of Quran 46:15

“My Lord! Inspire me to ˹always˺ be thankful for Your favours which You have blessed me and my parents with, and to do good deeds that please you. Admit me, by Your mercy, into ˹the company of˺ Your righteous servants.”

don’t panic sister, worship can be in everything 💗14 mars 202500:16:07

A little sisterly catchup💗

I know it can get super overwhelming when you want to do so much especially in Ramadan and your responsibilities require you to do other things

Whether it’s going to school or tending to your kids or your parents, with everything you do you can intend for it to be an act of worship ! Allah is so merciful that EVERYTHING YOU DO CAN BE AN ACT OF WORSHIP!

This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t STRIVEE and have a plan to challenge ourselves as it’s obviously RAMADAN but this should keep us calm, motivated and hopeful.

Hadiths to motivate us:

Abdullah bin 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said that Allah, the Glorious, said:

"Verily, Allah (SWT) has ordered that the good and the bad deeds be written down. Then He explained it clearly how (to write): He who intends to do a good deed but he does not do it, then Allah records it for him as a full good deed, but if he carries out his intention, then Allah the Exalted, writes it down for him as from ten to seven hundred folds, and even more. But if he intends to do an evil act and has not done it, then Allah writes it down with Him as a full good deed, but if he intends it and has done it, Allah writes it down as one bad deed".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

——-

It was narrated that 'Umar bin Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Messenger of Allah said:

"Actions are but by intentions, and each man will have but that which he intended. Whoever emigrated for the sake of Allah and His Messenger, his emigration was for the sake of Allah and His Messenger, and whoever emigrated for the sake of some worldly gain or to marry some woman, his emigration was for that for which he emigrated."

Ramadan truly is a training ground for good manners🤍🪻

Alhamdulillah for Ramadan! May we leave it having improved on how we treat each other. Whether it’s distancing ourselves from idle speech and gossip and backbiting and slander or controlling anger and being mindful of our speech and everything else.

~ Hey sis, sorry I didn’t send you a voice note yesterday.. I recorded this one when I really needed a nap so I pray to Allah it’s beneficial!

Day 4 today and I pray we remember, as we try our best to fulfill the rights of Our Creator , we also strive to be the best to His creation. Even if some of us are hungry , our reward is with Allah🫂we’re in this together!

Today we reflected on this beautiful verse,

O believers! When you are told to make room in gatherings, then do so. Allah will make room for you ˹in His grace˺. And if you are told to rise, then do so. Allah will elevate those of you who are faithful, and ˹raise˺ those gifted with knowledge in rank. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

Quran 58:11

“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) turned to face the people and said, ‘Straighten your rows,’ three times, ‘for by Allah either you straighten your rows or Allah will create division among your hearts.’ And I saw men standing shoulder to shoulder, knee to knee, ankle to ankle.”

Narrated by Abu Dawood, 662; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 61

All About straightening rows

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven; and whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven."

Sahih al-Bukhari 1901

Abu Hurairah narrated that:

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Whoever stands (in the voluntary night prayer of) Ramadan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven. And whoever spends the night of Lailat Al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven."

have good thoughts about Allah31 janv. 202500:18:39

On this episode Nafisa reflects on the fact that when you love someone you do things for them to be pleased and you stay away from things that are displeasing to them to prove your love for them.because that love is enough reason to do things even if you don’t understand why they like it or why they might not like it , the love you have for them is enough of a reason for you to let go off that thing or hold on to it.

So what then of our claim of loving Allah?🥹

Love IS a VERB, it’s an ACTION as well.We can all make tall claims , whether it’s claiming to love Allah or claiming we have faith in our hearts.

But faith and love are verbs as well . If love and faith are truly in our hearts , what’s our proof?

Do we do what Allah likes? Do we stay away from that which He (swt) dislikes?

What’s our proof?what’s our evidence that our claims of faith in and love for Allah are true?

She also reflects on the fact that we can’t love however, one we do not know. We can’t trust one we don’t know. Sacrifice for one we don’t know .

we need to know Allah to love him for how can you love whom you don’t know?

We NEED to get to know Allah so we can love him, sacrifice for Him , trust in Him, rely on Him.

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh!

Welcome or welcome back to a digital journal!

This episode has to be one of my absolute favorites!I grew up LOVING seerah( the stories of the Prophets), in whatever form! And I have always loved the story of Prophet Musa (AS) and yesterday I came across this post from Bayyinnah tv saying “sometimes all you need is Haroon” and I woke up today thinking about that.

Sometimes all you need is a companion.A support. Something or someone to confide in, someone to support you and hold you and guide you and ride with you through the ups and downs of life someone to be there for you , to strengthen you and keep you going…

And so we reflect on the story of how Prophet Musa AS being a Prophet of Allah requested that Allah gives Prophet Harun AS to him(his brother) to come along with him and support him on his mission to deliver the truth to the Pharoah ( Firaun) and his people.

And reflected on SO MUCH MORE!The Quran! The Quran! Upon you is the Quran oh servant of Allah.

Have a listen

This episode is about being mindful when we see others in positions we wouldn’t want to be in and being careful not to think at that moment that somehow WE are better than them.

In the Quran The Story of Prophet Adam, in different verses Allah tells us about when He SWT instructed that the angels prostrate to Prophet Adam AS but the shaytan ,Iblees not only disobeyed and refused to prostrate he also said that He was BETTER than Him( Prophet Adam AS).

The sin of Arrogance .

Many call it The First Sin.

Subhannallah. He said it there in the Quran Allah quotes his saying “I am better than him”

-

Allāh] said, "What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?" [Satan] said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay [i.e., earth]."

Quran 7:12

Note to self *

Never think you are better than anyone. For there are many skeletons in your closet that Allah has hidden and not exposed. And Allah has favored you today with wealth and health but can easily take it away. So stay humble and be kind.

But being humble does not mean we shouldn’t change evil when we come across it for :

On the authority of Abu Sa`eed al-Khudree (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say, “Whosoever of you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then [let him change it] with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart — and that is the weakest of faith.” [Muslim]

And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allāh as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision,

They receive good tidings of favor from Allāh and bounty and [of the fact] that Allāh does not allow the reward of believers to be lost -

A brief correction- the sunnah of salam

Hello assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh !

In this episode Nafisa reflects on accepting life as it is and the journey to pursuing patience.

It was narrated from Mus’ab bin Sa’d that his father, Sa’d bin Abu Waqqas, said:

“I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, which people are most severely tested?’ He said: ‘The Prophets, then the next best and the next best. A person is tested according to his religious commitment. If he is steadfast in his religious commitment, he will be tested more severely, and if he is frail in his religious commitment, his test will be according to his commitment. Trials will continue to afflict a person until they leave him walking on the earth with no sin on him.’”

English - Sahih International

2:155 And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient,

Tafsir Ibn Katheer in English

Anas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"When Allah wants good for his slave, He hastens his punishment in the world. And when He wants bad for His slave, He withholds his sins from him until he appears before Him on the Day of Judgement."

And with this (same) chain, (it was reported) from the Prophet (ﷺ) who said: "Indeed greater reward comes with greater trial. And indeed, when Allah loves a people He subjects them to trials, so whoever is content, then for him is pleasure, and whoever is discontent, then for him is wrath."

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2396

Allah does not require of any soul more than what it can afford. All good will be for its own benefit, and all evil will be to its own loss. ˹The believers pray,˺ “Our Lord! Do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord! Do not place a burden on us like the one you placed on those before us. Our Lord! Do not burden us with what we cannot bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our ˹only˺ Guardian. So grant us victory over the disbelieving people.”

the lower self is a part of you😔but not ALL of you11 nov. 202400:34:30

Hey everyone assalamu alaikum warahmatullah. Today I listened to this from my drafts. And I found it gave me hope.i hope it is useful 🪻🤍

Sometimes we make mistakes and wonder how on earth we got to such a low.We begin to feel like there’s no going back and we have just ruined our relationship with Allah. But subhanallah understanding there’s something inside of us that prompts us to do things that are actually unacceptable and understanding it’s human to err and understanding the regret we feel is hopefully a sign of our faith and it’s supposed to catalyse our repentance and push us to change- understanding these concepts and being at peace with it while acknowledging we do have something that is a part of us we really need protection from keeps us sane and hopeful .

This is what I’ve learnt about the nafs - the lower/animal self that always just wants and seeks control of our hearts.

I’ve learnt from this that I really need to start heavily praying to Allah to protect me from the evil prompting of my own nafs cause an enemy within is much more dangerous I feel that the enemy outside of you.

But that part of us is not all of us so we shouldn’t allow it to define us , we should seek Allahs help to protect us from listening to it and giving in all the time and also take up measures to deny it when it instructs us to do bad. However not if but when we do slip- because we are children of our Father Adam AS , we are those who make mistakes, we should not be hesitant to return to Allah . To repent to Allah.

Honestly I feel it’s the mercy of Allah that He swt attributes evil to not us directly but factors within us or around us, so we understand that we are not completely bad, we are flawed yes but we are not completely bad.

And I think that’s beautiful 🥹

Another lesson was reflecting on the guilt the generation before us must have felt but that Allah still honoured them after repentance.

Narrated Al-Bara:

We faced the pagans on that day (of the battle of Uhud) and the Prophet (ﷺ) placed a batch of archers (at a special place) and appointed `Abdullah (bin Jubair) as their commander and said, "Do not leave this place; if you should see us conquering the enemy, do not leave this place, and if you should see them conquering us, do not (come to) help us," So, when we faced the enemy, they took to their heels till I saw their women running towards the mountain, lifting up their clothes from their legs, revealing their leg-bangles. The Muslims started saying, "The booty, the booty!" `Abdullah bin Jubair said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) had taken a firm promise from me not to leave this place." But his companions refused (to stay). So when they refused (to stay there), (Allah) confused them so that they could not know where to go, and they suffered seventy casualties….

Indeed, We have dignified the children of Adam, carried them on land and sea, granted them good and lawful provisions, and privileged them far above many of Our creatures.

It was narrated that Sahl bin Sa’d said:

“We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in Dhul-Hulaifah, when we saw a dead sheep lifting its leg (because of bloating). He said: ‘Don’t you think this is worthless to its owner? By the One in Whose hand is my soul, this world is more worthless to Allah than this (dead sheep) is to its owner. If this world was worth the wing of a mosquito to Allah, the disbeliever would not have a drop to drink from it.’”

Quran 93:5

And ˹surely˺ your Lord will give so much to you that you will be pleased.

Ref regarding sacrificing for Allah swt to be pleased. Understand that your Lord is The source and Creator of Generosity itself!!! Sacrifice for him! He will give you ! But not only will he give you! You will be satisfied!!!🥹🥹🥹🥹

The tests will come to an end I promise siyama🥹 and everyone listening or reading. A day will come where you willl return to your Generous Kind Loving Lord.

Expect BIG THINGS from Your Rabb. Your Nurturer , Your kind , Generous, Gentle , Loving Provider. Expect GOOD THINGS form Allah! Expect GREAT THINGS from Allah!Allah is and has been soooo good to you

And remember that you will be soooo glad you kept pushing! You will be soooo glad you held on! You will be so glad Allah gave you the strength to let go.

Many wish they could do some good again. Any good. Any good at all but their test is done. Their time is up. The paper has been taken. Their book closed.

Do something with the time you have left.🪻🤍

Don’t delay any good you intend to do.

Say the good word. Smile at them. Apologise to that person. Pray that prayer . Seek forgiveness. Make the wudu before bed. Read the mulk after isha. Cry to Allah. Break down. Whatever it is , don’t delay ANY good you intend to do.

For you will need it on that day. Every ounce of it.🥹

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)."

[Muslim].

- ref regarding why I take time to post episodes but I think I don’t use it the right way , as you read above good deeds should not be delayed , so I guess it’s about finding a balance , take your time and do it well , don’t be hasty but don’t prolonge it so much that it never gets done.may Allah grant us strength.

Sahl bin Sa’d (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

Is this the life you want to die living? pt 116 oct. 202400:38:04

In this heartfelt episode, Nafisa shares a personal story of realizing that death isn’t just a distant reality for the old—it can happen to the young too. Reflecting on the passing of young people in her life, she opens up about how this realization helps her to take action.

She paints a vivid picture of her vision for a Muslim community center in the town where she grew up, a place designed to empower the younger generations. The center ( Hayaah Sanctuary, Insha Allah!) will serve as a hub for spiritual growth, education, and community, offering a safe space for young Muslims to connect, learn, and strive to become better in their deen (faith). She shares her goals of creating an environment where young people can be reminded that they, too, are accountable to Allah, just like older generations.

A conversation about youth, mortality, and the powerful potential of creating a community that encourages continuous self-improvement and devotion to Islam.

for the repenting sinner12 oct. 202400:47:36

This Episode is Alll about Allahs Mercy. Oh my Lord is kind and oh His Mercy truly exceeds all else.Siyama, (and the girls💕) I understand it gets disappointing, embarrassing, annoying, shameful to keep disappointing yourself again and again but Allah swt YOUR CREATOR , The One Who you will return to and stand before, He doesn’t expect perfection from you. He understands that you are a human being . He created you flawed. He expects that you keep trying. And when you do fall , he expects you to go to him, to seek his help to stand again, not to run away.

don’t run away when you’ve made a mistake. Where will you run to? Who will heal you other than your Lord?Go to him with all the shame and all the pain and sorrow and disappointment in yourself and place your broken heart and soul in front of him and ask him to fix you, not only will he fix you he will make you better than when you broke.

Allah SWT is so very aware ! 🥹01 oct. 202401:06:56

“indeed the patient will be given their reward without account [i.e. limit]”🥹 Quran 39:10 ( Quran.com)

* I misquoted my teacher , it wasn’t

"الدنيا متى العمل والآخرة متى الجزاء"

It was

"الدنيا دار العمل والآخرة دار الجزاء"

The world is the place of work and the hereafter is the place of reward

In This Episode-

“Allah SWT is so very aware ! 🥹”

  1. People only look at the results , Allah SWT KNOWS how much effort you put in, in fact he APPRECIATES your effort.

- Allah accepts you WHOLE with all the flaws and “imperfections”

- Put in the effort and let Allah, prayer to be content with the results Allah gives you

- Allah legislates KINDNESS UPON HIMSELF, no one can legislate upon Allah yet He chooses to be kind and merciful and APPRECIATIVE of our efforts

  1. The Battle from within -

Leaving things for the sake of Allah and going through hardships and enduring it for his sake

Don’t ever tell yourself that your efforts are overlooked.

Every burn , every ache, the friction from within Will Be rewarded! Allah APPRECIATES your effort

Tell yourself to be patient!! It’s patience for a little while, time is going to pass either way whether you’re engaged in Allahs obedience or you give in to your desires (and we seek Allahs protection but some people return to Allah in the state of giving in to their desires, if only they held on)

- THE REWARD FOR PATIENCE IS NOT SPECIFIED IN THE QURAN🥹

- The AYAH OF HIJAB IN THE CHAPTER OF ‘LIGHT’✨🥹

Reflecting on how hard it is for a lady to force herself to NOT look beautiful

To preserve the light in our hearts we need to condition our nafs✨

- GIVING UP SOMETHING FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH🥹

Allah provides for me from places I don’t understand, I don’t comprehend .

The happiest times in life are times when we leave something for Allahs sake. The contentment you feel, the peace.

( recommended the series ‘THE NAMES OF ALLAH AND HIS ATTRIBUTES - https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSFZjjKC3qPYGLinbi1XurRSC3izxodtC&si=fwePEAySCckau9OL )

- THINK GREAT THINGS OF ALLAH, EXPECT GREAT THINGS FROM ALLAH

Pick ONE thing in your life and say “Ya Allah FOR YOU NEVER AGAIN”

Pray about it. And keep trying.

- REFLECTION and description ON THE VERSE ,

“indeed the patient will be given their reward without account [i.e. limit]”🥹 Quran 39:10 ( Quran.com)

The 3 types of patience:

  1. Patience to obey Allah
  2. Patience to stay away from the disobedience
  3. Patience upon what Allah has decreed for you

PATIENCE IS NOT EASY ( it’s scorching, it’s hot!) BUT LOOK AT THE REWARD Allah has prepared( Allah says he will give us Gardens- almost like Allah saying bare the heat now, just for a little while ,we have prepared a garden for you to cool off)🥹✨ and patience is rough and so Allah swt says , we give you silk🥹

from Quran 76:12 - (and reward them for their perseverance with a Garden ˹in Paradise˺ and ˹garments of˺ silk.)✨

- Seek Islamic knowledge so you navigate through this life so you get to JANNAH

And learn about ALLAH , so you get to know him and love him and understand this life and the next. Learn about the Quran, its a miraculous book 🥹✨

You don’t have to want to be a sheikh or scholar to go to a school to learn deen. It is an obligation for every Muslim to learn the deen because Islam teaches us how to LIVE. And if you don’t learn how to live like a Muslim then who are you living like?

ASK ALLAH SWT, BELIEVE THAT ALLAH SEES AND APPRECIATES YOUR EFFORTS, ask him ! Expect BIG THINGS from Allah!🥹

prayers🤍
