Merry November everyone! I've got another jam-packed episode today! First of all, we circle back to last week's episode topic and I share some more information about the 1990's tv special, Merry Christmas George Bailey! Christmas Podcast Network roving reporter Tim Babb shares an exclusive interview with Jimmy Hawkins, the actor who played Tommy Bailey in the original It's a Wonderful Life film! He also produced the tv special that I spoke about in the last episode. Thank you so much Tim for sharing this with us!

Then we head up north and about as far east as we can go, to Newfoundland, Canada! We stop in to visit with Glen Warren, who is hard at work on this season of his podcast Season's Eatings. I'm finally behind the microphone again, bringing you all the cozy Christmas vibes as we countdown to Christmas 2025. Today, I read an Irish Christmas Story called "Frank Forrest's Mince-Pie" by Fr. Patrick Augustine Sheehan. It tells the story of a young man named Frank who has some strange Christmas dreams about Mince pies, an act of kindness - and of course, what Victorian Christmas story would be complete without some ghostly visitors! I also recommend a book of Christmas stories and share some Irish Christmas traditions!

It's Christmas week, and I have several episodes planned for the week. But I finally got Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, Stave 3 edited and ready to go for you!

In this section Scrooge meets the Ghost of Christmas Present - and we'll see the classic scenes of the Cratchit Family as well as Scrooge's nephew's Christmas party. This was really fun to read!

After I read the story, I get on a ramble about how much I love this chapter in the book, and some of the lessons it teaches me.

The Birmingham Children's Theater is back with a new Zoom play called Elves 2.0! This year the Elves at the North Pole are ready for anything - and they want to invite your kids along on a virtual tour of the NP! They've learned from all the mistakes and malfunctions that happened last year are ready for anything. What could possibly go wrong?

We have a full crew in the interview booth today: friend of the show Sina Skates, writer of Elves 2.0. We're also joined by actors Davey Morrison, who plays Stevie the Green Elf, and LaShondra Hood, she plays Morgan the Red Elf.

We have an absolute blast talking about the play and how it came together this year, and what's different about it from last year's play. Then we talk about our favorite Christmas music, movies, traditions, and then I blatantly steal a question from the Christmas Time in the City Podcast and we talk about what we would want Santa to say to us if we ever got to visit the North Pole. We also attempt to answer questions like - what is Santa's favorite Christmas movie? There is a ton of fun in store!
