Super long ep! It's the finale though so who cares! Buffy doesn't have to deal with any moral dilemmas as long as her hot vamp situationship can still get her off, we see the worst hospital cop ever, Snyder finally gets what's coming to him and of course the squad all graduate! All of that after a way way to long intro section.

We are almost there! A professor dies, the mayor dotes on Faith, Angel contracts a deadly poison and must have a slayer's blood and Buffy finally cuts a corner off her murder chit.

It's Prom night in Sunnydale and we all know what that means! A kid that couldn't get a date trains hellhounds to kill people in formal wear! As predicted their was essentially no talk of the ascension but we did get Wesley going full perv, Joyce being classic, and Anya having to deal with having a real life teenage brain. Sam feels validated though with the full throated acknowledgement that everyone in Sunnydale knows they live on the Hellmouth!

Kayla lost her notes! That's ok because we are just lowering our standards for higher ed on this episode. Faith gets a knife that looks like it came from a western Kansas gas station, the mayor takes a hostage and loses some pages, face huggers get a cross over, and we learn that Wesley is a shithead beyond being pervy to teenage girls. In the end though Willow just wants to stay home and fight evil with her friend and it's honestly really sweet.

Finally a new episode of ABFAS! This one is an instant classic, published just a couple weeks after the most infamous school shooting in American History why not go ahead and have that be the theme of the show? Also Buffy can read minds, which leads to a great discovery of Giles and Joyce's wild night on a cop car... twice! All pretty standard and with no real mention of the next apocalyptic problems which should probably be getting dealt with.

This is what you get when teachers are stretched too thin, at least that is what we are going to say happened. Sam didn't watch the episode so his punishment is having to watch it with full knowledge that it is pointless and awful. Luckily for you though there are a few pointers about how to b.s. your way through a class discussion.

Sam and Kayla are in the same physical space! Angel and Buffy go to a porn film showing, Faith finally goes full betrayal, they meet an everyday joe Devil, Angel plays a fun trick that Buffy hates, and we learn that "The Ascension" is confirmed on graduation day!

An amazing willow episode! The buffy multiverse in confirmed although it may just be the one other verse. Anya deals with some demonic bureaucracy, Cordelia is actively trying to get Wesley fired, Faith gets a Playstation and Willow has a moment of compassion and sends Millow back to her world to be immediately dusted by Oz again.

Sam has returned from the wilderness and gets a real bummer of an episode. The Slayers absolutely have some consequences to wrestle with. Wesley gives the ick to Cordelia, Xander goes rogue and then gets assaulted by faith, The mayor continues to be a great kind of weird, Mr. Trick gets unceremoniously dusted and Faith goes full heel.

Part 2 because Sam can't figure out how to connect these parts in a way that makes sense right now! There is a new watcher in town and nobody is really a fan. Buffy is playing along but Faith is not! The Mayor is prepping for the ascension some duelists are running about. Faith kills a guy and absolutely does not care.

Giles is still fired but they still manage to save the world once again from the apocalypse! But don't worry that's not at all what this episode is about its all Xander time, he gets a car, he makes new friends, they try and kill him, he gets laid, he kills them and then that whole getting laid thing turns him into a super confident unafraid man ready to take on the world and be sought out by Cordelia like he has been wanting. Just like what happened to Buffy... Also Oz has a snack, willow casts a spell and Giles does something incredibly brave we can only imagine what it is.

A coming of age tale which is just totally normal, nothing problematic here! JK it's pretty much the worst, go ahead and throw that slayers life right on the line. Angel admits to being a pedophile, Giles drugs buffy, Cordelia has to save herself from a pushy boy, and we learn all about what different crystals can do to heal you, or hypnotize you. Also Giles gets fired from his secret job but somehow still has his real job.

What a great episode! Excitement, jokes, actions, witches, weird unsubtle social commentary, and best of all the contractual minimum of Angel! Xander and Oz go on an adventure, Amy is back for a bit, little german children do in fact make terrifying ghosts and we worry a lot about the brain damage being done to Giles.

It's Christmas in Sunnydale and we all know what that means! Angel is being tormented by an evil as old as time itself. We are given no resolution to this whatsoever but Oz and Willow get back together and it's great! Angel and Buffy also get back together and Sam hates it! Also fake we get cliche Christmas miracle snow just so Buffy and Angel can hang out during the day for once. Also Zander gets caught in the snow in a sleeping bag on his lawn.

Sam knocks this one out of the park as far as predictions go. Did he guess a wish granting alternate universe creating demon getting Cordelia's revenge... no. We do get to see all of the main characters die though! Except Giles and Oz they are good apparently. Ohio Buffy is apparently super hard, Angel is a creep in any universe and the master is having to settle for some pretty bland ideas now that his plan actually worked.

SAT scores are in! But that gets forgotten pretty quickly for all the teenage mopey love stuff. Spike is back and mopey too until he talks to his BFF Joyce and goes out and kicks some ass with Angel and Buffy which is cool but then Cordelia dies, which isn't cool then she doesn't which is cool. Overall sub par episode 4/10.

All the sexual tension! An evil watcher comes into town and tries to use a really cool Nintendo power glove to take over the world, it doesn't go well, the gang finds out about Angel being back and they don't take it great, and a demon is decapitated.

Overall a pretty solid episode! Joyce is still a shitty mom but some special chocolate does chill her out pretty well, unfortunately she and Giles bone down though which is weird. We still have to deal with the background noise of Willow and Xander being awkward, Sam learns how to spell Xander's name, Angel does some old person exercises and there are no babies eaten on camera (spoilers).

It's Homecoming season! Buffy gets dumped, we finally meet the mayor, Zander and Willow have a real awkward moment and Buffy goes "full prom queen". But all of that is nothing compared to SLAYERFEST '98! It's everyone's new favorite festival, come along for all the different plotlines on this absolute Joss Whedon classic.

The moon is full, Angel is chained to a wall and a tertiary character finally acknowledges the deaths of their fellow classmates. The counselor who was mauled to death in their office got no such ceremony but hey it's a step!

A new slayer emerges from the shadows to dust disco dan the vampire man! Buffy tells the whole truth, we meet another ancient vampire who is a complete waste of time and Buffy finally is going on a date with a new boy! Oh also Angel is back but that's the worst part by far.

Buffy is back in town and Joyce is awful as ever! An ancient mask is bringing people back from the dead, the scooby squad is doing everything they can to avoid Buffy and Joyce's great new lesbian lover is unceremoniously killed resurrected and killed again. It's a real roller coaster!

The first real monster of the week episode! Buffy almost becomes a cheerleader, there aren't any chupacabras but we do get some very witchy shenanigans that occur!
