This led to him creating a mailing list of his listeners and a newsletter providing hip-hop news and information to fans across the city. He named the newsletter The Source, which quickly grew from one page into a small magazine, with the help of fellow Harvard students Jon Shecter, Ed Young, and James Bernard.
