Cam's back from CPAC 2020, and hopefully didn't bring any coronavirus home with him. As Miss E prepares to start a new round of treatment for her cancer, she and Cam are saying a temporary farewell to alcohol, but not before sampling some of the tomato wine (yes, it's just what it sounds like) they started brewing back in the fall. 

Cam and Miss E may be a little grumpier than normal in this episode, thanks to the continued reconstruction of their kitchen floor, but at least the pair have discovered more history of their old farmhouse in the process.

Cam and Miss E are back with a Thanksgiving feast for the ears, from their adventures in a Richmond barcade to the Julia Child-inspired turkey on this year's table. 

It's hunting season in Virginia, and that means it's time for packs of hunting dogs to tear across the 40 acres in pursuit of deer, only to get sidetracked by the goats of Corny Goat Farm. Miss E's got a few things to say about the practice, while Cam has an update on the Second Amendment Sanctuary movement sweeping the state. 

It's been a brutal fall on the 40 Acres, at least for Cam and Miss E's flock of chickens. The pair are doing battle with possums and other predators, but for now the possums are winning. Plus, Cam's got the latest on the aftermath of the Virginia elections, while Miss E has some great fall recipe ideas. 

It's not gold and jewels, but Cam and Miss did find an artistic gem in a very unlikely spot not far from the 40 Acres. Plus, Miss E's craftiness is paying off, and the pair talk over her latest challenges in her fight with cancer. 

With Halloween just around the corner, Cam and Miss E are getting into the holiday spirit with a trip to a local theater to catch a production of The Crucible, putting up their Halloween decorations, and spinning tales about the ghosts that allegedly haunt Corny Goat Farm. The pair are also conjuring up a witches brew (if witches brewed tomato wine) and have a truly scary story about Virginia's upcoming elections.

Cam and Miss E are reunited after a few days apart, and they both have a few stories to tell; Miss E's trip to America's midsection and Cam's first visit to the Virginia State Fair. Plus, after the popularity of the tomato wine podcast, Cam has a new bottle to sample/finish on the show. 

Cam and Miss E learn a valuable lesson in real time on this week's episode: Just like you should never go to the grocery store hungry, you should never try to do a podcast with dessert staring you in the face. Cam and Miss E are increasingly desperate to figure out how their chickens keep escaping from the coop, and their recent chick experiment has come to a not-so-happy ending. Despite those setbacks, the pair are still smiling through another week's worth of adventures on the 40 Acres. 

No, Cam wasn't hitting on the lady behind the checkout counter. Six new chicks have arrived on the farm after he and Miss E visited their local Tractor Supply Store! Plus, the pair talk fall planting, runaway chickens, and more. 

Miss E's been busy boxing up hot sauce to send out this week, while Cam's been finding his rhythm at his new job. And on the farm, the pair are dealing with a new challenge: after six years of raising chickens, one of the hens has suddenly developed a taste... for eggs. 

Cam's got a new job, Miss E's got new tomatoes, and the pair have some homemade hot sauce to give away to 20 lucky listeners!  Speaking of hot... with the heat index soaring to 115, they're looking to hear from you about ways to beat the summer heat.  

It's amazing the amount of milk you can get from just one tiny dairy goat, and while Cam and Miss E aren't quite literally swimming in the stuff, they are getting almost a gallon a day.  Miss E's been trying her hand at making cheeses, while Cam joined in as the pair made goat's milk soap for the very first time.  Plus, a new poll suggests Americans want to live in rural areas over anywhere else... so what's getting in our way? 

There's a groundhog invasion (or at least an infilration) on the 40 Acres, but Miss E's channeling her inner Annie Oakley and taking aim the rodents before can do much damage.  Cam takes a look at the rural protests against "cap and trade" gripping Oregon right now, and the pair hear from one listener who's been talked into and out of moving to the Farmville area.  

Miss E's joining Cam with some good news on the cancer front this week, along with much less important (but entertaining!) discussions and digressions on sourdough, socialism, and the gift of goats by mail.  

Ever since Donald Trump entered the Republican primary in 2015, there've been fights between various factions of the Right, each proclaiming themselves to be the true keeper of the conservative flame. Cam digs in to the 1965 New York mayoral election, featuring the Republican John Lindsay and the Conservative William F. Buckley and finds some surprising commonalities between then and now.  

With one week before her next scan, Miss E's a little worried about what comes next in her fight with cancer.  In the meantime, though, she's milking goats, knitting up a storm, and making the most out of every day.  Plus, some of the goats of Corny Goat Farm are taking a field trip, and Cam and Miss are getting ready for a 2nd Amendment Saturday with friends.

Sadly, this hasn't been a great week for Cam and Miss E.  From struggles and side effects with Miss E's new cancer treatment, to relatively minor developments like the pair's bees disappearing, it's been a bit of a challenge staying positive.  Cam's doing his best, however, and finding comfort and strength in the kindness of friends and the 40 Acres and a Fool community.  

Cam's got a tough question this week:  are most rural counties doomed to decline?  One Iowa State University professor thinks so, but Cam's got a couple of ideas to save the near frontier.  Plus, updates on Miss E, a goat says goodbye to the 40 Acres, and more!
