Fact, folklore and superstition collide as we invesitage Cornwall from the comfort of Mr Proctor's library.

***Parents Guardians Adults & young Adults***

This story is from my newly published anthology - The Vending Machine Birth and other stories of Japan - available through Amazon

This book is NOT aimed at young readers however today's story is suitable for this podcast though it does hint at adult themes around loss and is longer than usual episodes.

As previously mentioned the podcast is free and without ads so if you like what I do this is a good opportunity to support the show and get something in return. Kindle copy is the price of a coffee, please purchase and leave an honest review!

This story was inspired by Stephen King's IT, using the back and forth perspective of adult and childhood, an evil entity that preys on children, and of course having to face your demons.

For the month of October here is the first bonus episode of season 2 where I will be reading Scary Tales to tell in the dark written by Anthony Masters. I shall be reading the first story only as a taster so as not to annoy the copyright police.

Why not try making your own gaming creepy pasta? Either by writing down a few ideas or using art. Want to share one you’ve made or tell me about any you’ve heard, email me at Johnablewriter@gmail.com

Today’s unofficial tale based on the game, Baldi’s Basics, learning a new level of horror, in math! Be warned, voice recordings from the game are used which may be scary to some children. Come chat to me at johnablewriter@gmail.com

Our second unofficial Fortnite tale, Night of the living bots. Leave a review or get in touch at johnablewriter@gmail.com

This is an unofficial story based on the game Fortnite which I had nothing to do with its creation. While I try to keep violence and gore out of these stories this one does feature guns and weapons from the game. Contact me at johnablewriter@gmail.com

This is the 31st episode, because of the bonus Christmas story we still have just 1 more to go after this one and then I’ll be ready to begin season 2! You can email me at Johnablewriter@gmail.com
