Mike Goldstein or “Stickers”. Hails from Milford NH. Love the fire service and forever a student of the craft of firemanship. I was born in Albuquerque NM, lived in Arizona for a while and then California, then finally settled on the Granite State. I pretty much grew up in Nashua, NH. I was a shit for most of my life…worked as a bouncer in a dive bar and even ran with a MC for a little bit. I always had a calling to help others though, and started my career in the first responder field in 2005 as a dispatcher for a private ambulance company. I met my future wife a few years later, and her father inspired me to become a firefighter.

 I got my start as a “call firefighter” in 2012 and it was all over after that…I was hooked. Ever since I started the fire service, I wanted to know everything about it. In 2018 I was hired as a career firefighter and continued to find my passion for the service. I am a staff/state instructor for the NH Fire Academy, and a bunch of other certs. I’m married to a beautiful woman and have twin girls who are 14. I’m pushing 46 and have currently been with the Derry Fire Department for almost a year. 

I’m very passionate about RIT, hose ops. I volunteer to help run the NH Explorer Academy every year which is incredibly rewarding. I’m also very passionate about mental health and leading a positive life style inside and outside the fire service

Matt Gehlbach has worked in Austin, Texas as a medic for a bit, then North Tahoe Fire in Lake Tahoe, California, then went to another depth called Santa Clara County Fire. Then Matt eventually landed at San Jose Fire and been loving it ever since. He started a supplement business in February called Zenith Supplements.
He launched his flagship product called Morning Wood, which why he joined social media recently after a multi -year hiatus. So now he is trying to bring fitness and positivity into the world in general and fire service in particular.

Erin McGruder has been a firefighter/EMT for more than 20 years. She serves as a Planning Team Manager for a FEMA USAR. She is a Planning Team Manager and retired canine handler for a State USAR team. McGruder specializes in curriculum and instructor development as a fire service state training agency staff member for nearly a decade. She holds a master’s degree in public affairs and is currently studying educational psychology and adult learning at the doctoral level. McGruder is a National Fallen Firefighter Foundation Fellow and volunteers as a state advocate for the Everyone Goes Home program,. Additionally, she serves as a Director At Large for the International Society for Fire Service Instructors.

Demond Simmons is a 25 year member of the fire service.  He Started off as a firefighter-paramedic with the Burlingame Fire Department in 1997.  He then was hired in 1999 with the Oakland Fire Department.  Worked majority of career downtown as a company and chief officer.  Currently on detail to the training division as the chief of training.  Enjoy all aspects of the fire service as a public servant.

Joe Nedder is a passionate and inspirational instructor who joined the fire service on April 2,

1977 on a small rural volunteer department. he became an instructor for the Massachusetts Fire Academy where he developed and implemented a Firefighter I/II program for Volunteers and On call firefighters. Nedder has been attending the FDIC every year for 25 years. He has taught at the FDIC every year since 2010. He has written numerous articles for Fire Engineering Magazine Volunteer Corner. Joe has authored 2 books: Rapid Intervention Crews (Jones and Bartlett) and Managing Risk in the Volunteer Fire Department: Concepts, Methods and Practices for Fire Engineering books. A self-described disciple of risk management, Nedder is on a mission to spread the word that continuous, meaningful training is necessary to be safe and work effectively as a firefighter.  When you ask those who have taken one of his classes to describe his teaching style you will repeatedly hear the words knowledgeable, passionate, inspirational and fun. Nedder has been attending the FDIC every year for 25 years. He has taught at the FDIC every year since 2010. He has written numerous articles for Fire Engineering Magazine #39  Volunteer Corner. Chief McGean has spent the last 21 years as a firefighter and 10 years as a Paramedic. Steve joined the Canadian Air Force in 2001 as a ARFF, did that till 2012 when he left the military and then went to Paramedic school.  Moved to Northern Alberta and worked as a Flight Medic and joined the local Volunteer Fire Department where I was appointed as Fire Chief after 9 months due to training and experience. He then left that community in 2019 and moved to Edmonton to teach medical courses. In 2021 he applied to the Iqaluit Fire dept and was hired as the assistant fire chief but after 6 months the fire chief left and I took over as Acting fire chief.

Frank Leeb is a Deputy Assistant Chief in the (FDNY). He is the Acting Chief of Training. Frank has been a member of the FDNY since 1992 and a member of the East Farmingdale Fire Department in Long Island NY since 1983. He holds a BS degree in Fire Service Administration from SUNY and a master’s degree in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School, Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS).

MIKE KENNEDY is a 27-year fire service veteran and chief of the Ann Arbor (MI) Fire Department. He is a CPSE Chief Fire Officer, a Michigan Fire Fighters Training Council Instructor II, and is a contract instructor for the International Society of Fire Service Instructors. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan and a Master of Public Administration degree from Eastern Michigan University.

Blake Stinnett is a firefighter/paramedic at Sandy Springs Fire Department. He has been on the job for 7 years. He is currently assigned to Squad 53, which is the tech rescue house for Sandy Springs Fire. Blake is married to his beautiful bride and has two kids, Layleigh and Jack. Blake is the founder/director of a nonprofit called Next Rung, where there mission is to tackle them mental health issues of firefighters and first responders. In his spare time you can find Blake serving as an instructor with Bearers of The Oath cadre or at the gym.

OJ is a Capt. with Birmingham Fire and Rescue. He been with the department for 21 years. Out of those 21 years the majority of his career has been on a truck or heavy rescue company.
